Chapter 51 - CHAPTER 51: Labyrinth 13

The group continued to move through the forest while they searched for any sign that could lead to the demon's or entity's body. Fiona who was at the front of the squad signaled them to stop.

"Have you found it? Everyone asked as they all came to a halt. "Yes it is located in that tree over there" Fiona said, pointing at a very small tree that seemed out of place in the massive forest. Okuagu cracked his neck as he took on a sprinting position. "Very well let us get out of this forsaken place" Boaruss said as he brandished his axe.

Okuagu's body lighted up with the flaming patterns as he channeled heat into his legs. After nodding at the squad Okuagu ran with frightening speed, his body now bathed in bright orange flames. Growls and roars echoed from the forest as creatures rushed from every direction to stop the ball of light that had come to dispel the darkness.

The rest of the group descended into the fray as they fought against all the monstrosities that had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. Okuagu dodged a swipe of a crimson bear while he burst through an ant that had stood between him and the tree. "Burn you spawn of hell! Okuagu screamed as he bathed the tree in flames that burned every creature around it...

After hearing a deep voice in his head, Okuagu however cursed for all he could now see was a never ending darkness "Finally my meal had arrived" a deep sinister voice said before it burst into a cackle as it observed the black eyes of all the creatures assembled before it including the pesky one with the flames. "Let's see how tough you are in a battle that doesn't involves muscles" the demon said smacking its lips when his eyes noticed the other still humans. "It's been so long since I last tasted my own kind" chuckled the demon as it got ready for a different kind of battle.

Gale cursed as he looked around the beautiful cottage that he had found himself in. "Wasn't I doing something before" Gale wondered for though he felt comfortable he still felt like something was missing. His thoughts were however interrupted by a woman in her mid-thirties that had just stepped into the dining area.

"Gale what seems to be the problem" she asked as she ruffled his silver hair. Gale looked at her eyes that were filled with concern and smiled: "Nothing mum I just felt like I was forgetting something. His mother simply laughed: "If you say so, anyways your father wants you to get some apples from the orchard, we shall be having a guest this night". "Sure thing mom I will go there now" Gale told his mother as he got ready to leave.

"Where are you going young man" asked an elderly lady that was sitting on a rocking chair. "To the orchard granny" he replied waving to her as he made his way to the orchard...

"I really got some good apples, still who could be our guest?" Gale wondered as he pushed the cottage's doors wide open. "No it can't be" he cried as his eyes rested on the mauled corpses of the only people that he called family. "No, No, why will anyone do this? Gale screamed out in agony as he held his mother's cold lifeless hand, while he shuddered from the pained look on his grandmother's face.

"Take heart kid, you should be glad that you were at least spared" this was what he heard before a man wearing an eagle mask knocked him unconscious.

Gale opened his eyes and found himself in a dark place with an old man looking at him with a sadistic grin. "So my child do you plan on taking revenge on the b*stards that did this to you and your family" the old man asked as his grin widened.Gale with a crazy look smiled: "I will make sure they suffer a fate that is worse than death, and then I will destroy everyone that they ever held dear''. The old man on hearing this smiled: "Yes my child let your DESIRE for revenge burn hotter than the sun and I shall feed on all of your wildest desires". "Yes they will all pay with their lives'' smiled Gale as he crashed into the floor clutching his head as he struggled to hold back the tears that welled up in his eyes.
