Ha-! Summer, a period of heat and vacation to all, were we all go for holidays, spending it in beaches, game hall, and playing ball, that's the normal summer to all kids like me, that's what I thought though...
The eerie corridor was dark and gloomy, the lights were off, or should I say dead, with less luminosity only coming from the windows nearly sealed with iron and wood bars, the sound of running could be heard approaching and soon two figures took a sharp turn and ran with all their might.
"You said this place was abandoned!" Shouted the boy with the orange raincoat, Black trouser and brown boots, with strange looking giant construction gloves.
"It was!" Said the girl running by his side, different from the boy who definitely had human features, this girl had beast-like features resembling that of a black cat, she had short jean trouser, with a black hood pullover.
They ran within the corridor in a hurry as a shadow chased after them rapidly, multiple hands holding onto doors and windows, propulsing the shadow forward, the boy and the beast girl were in a hilarious despair as the saw the shadow rapidly closing up to them.
"Do something!" Shouted the boy, the girl was shocked at the shout, "who is the man here!" She shouted back, the boy was furious, "who the hell put us in this trouble!" She shouted back, the girl felt guilty for 0.5 seconds before shouting back, "shut up and do something useless man, you were the one bragging this morning!" She shouted, the boy cursed out loud as the ran but!
Before we tell you the rest, let's rewind to this early morning, or to say, one day ago, they day of his arrival.
They Ramsey family is an ordinary family, leaving in an ordinary town in Maryland, ordinary neighbors and an ordinary life.
The family is made up of a father; Leonard Ramsey, wife; Jeanne Ramsey, with four kids, Lucas, Brian, Emily and the youngest, Bartholin Ramsey.
This seemingly ordinary family is actually facing a criss with one of their kids, a trouble maker, energetic, and open minded idiot, their second son of fifteen, Brian Ramsey.
"Brian... Can you explain why you did that to your classmate?" Asked the headmaster, he was furious, he had to settle the parents of the victim, got scoulded, and still have to settle the damage.
On his left, Jeanne was frowning hard as she held tightly on her chair trying to calm herself down, while on the right, Leonard was slightly tired as he massage his forehead, waiting for explanation.
"I didn't do anything wrong, that bastard is a bully, he deserves that!" Shouted Brian, he wiped the blood leaking from his nose, his left eye was slight red and brousses could be seen here and there on his face, signs of an argument who ended up physically.
"Why didn't you report to the teacher!" The principal shouted back at Brian, Brian snorted, startling both the parents and the principal.
"Report?" He gave the principal a condescending gaze, "how many times have we reported each major accident regarding bullying within the school, perpetrated by Conrad and his gang!" Said Briand, he added lastly after leaning on the chair, "he should be glad I didn't burst his other eye" He said.
"... Your a lost case, Mr and Mrs Ramsey, I have already given to much warning to your son, I can no longer cover him for his violence and stubbornness to follow the rules " Said the principal seriously, the parents could only remain quiet, they were fed up.
"Luckily, Conrad's eye wasn't burst, and even though he might spend a little why in the hospital, he would be okay, and also punished for his crimes, but for the case regarding your son, after committing numerous crimes and breaking the rules countless times, I have no solution but to dismiss him" said the principal Oxford.
"Isn't there a way to reduce the punishment, even though the the method use was violent and not recommended, my son tried to help his classmates over bullying " Jeanne begged, but the principal refused, they argued over it for basically an hour.
"If that's the case, we would have to remove the rest and find another school " Said Leonard as he look at his wife with sorrow all over his face, the wife took out a handkerchief and wiped her tears.
"Wait!" The principal panicked, "what did you say?" He fidgeted a little watching the parents wiping off their fake tears, "if you have no choice but to dismiss Brian, I would have to remove, Lucas and Emily " Said Leonard.
A minute later, Brian who was send out such that the adults could speak saw his parents coming out of the principal office.
The atmosphere was heavy and awkward, Brian kept on looking outside in other to distract him from the constant glare his dad send to him from time to times.
"Brian, your grounded" Brian expected this, so he did not react, that wasn't the first time he was grounded, but the next sentence took him off guard, "and forget about your summer holidays, as punishment, you would attain summer classes" Said Jeanne.
"What!" Brian turn towards his parents, "that's not fair!" He glared at them, "shut up, what's not fair is, after all the efforts in giving you a stable life, good education and environment to study, you still bring trouble to us, why can't you be like your brother and sister for once!" Shouted his mother, in Brian's head, 'here it goes again, comparing me with them!'
"Look Brian, even though, in your own judgement, things are right, other people do not see this the same" Brian turn towards his dad, "your way of thinking and acting are a little radical, some times, they exist other solution than violence " He said, Brian was a little annoyed, "you mean having a proper talk or whatever?" He asked, the father shook his head.
"I am not that naive, some people are too stubborn to understand certain situations, but that doesn't mean, you should go trying to plug out someone's eye just to enact revenge or justice " Said Leonard.
The remaining journey was in silence, they arrive home after doing some shopping, Brian existed the car and immediately left for his room, his mother came out looking at the stubborn child leaving, she frowned and turn towards Leonard, "just leave him the time to reflect on his actions, I am sure he would understand one day" Said Leonard, Jeanne sighed and gave up, "are we to harsh or to soft, I fear that my son's way of seeing the world is a little different from ours and may become his own doom" Said Jeanne.
"Don't worry, I am sure, one day, things would change " Said Leonard, Lucas came out frowning, "what was the judgment this time, expulsion?" Asked Brian's elder brother, the parents shook their head, he sighed, "so, what was decided?" He helped in carrying the groceries.
"I see... That's not a bad thing " After helping out with the goods, the had a chat, were the situation was explained, Lucas who was the oldest listen and nodded, why Emily just ignored them and kept on watching cat's on her phone, "while are you defending that freak, I am ashamed his my brother " Said Emily, Leonard and Lucas frowned.
"What are you saying, don't ever repeat that again!" Shouted Jeanne, "he is your brother, have some respect towards him!" She added.
"Respect is worked and earn, what has he worked for?" She stood up, "what has he earn ?" She look into their eyes, "he keeps on fighting over and over in they name of helping others, and still ends up to be the one punished, he helps those who ignore him in trouble, isn't that stupid, why is he punishing himself and dragging us in his despondent misery!" Shouted Emily almost crying, for sure, her life in school was sometimes affected by Brian's violence, some of her close climate would stop talking with her in fear of any repercussions.
Meanwhile, Brian sat leaning at his door, listening to the argument occuring downstairs, he stood up and walk towards the window it was threatening to rain as the weather gradually went from white to gloomy to dark, the wind picked up and lightening could be seen in the sky.
Minute later, the argument stopped, Brian sat on the chair looking at the heavy rain drops outside, his mind was in chaos, that's when he saw a straight line in the sky, but it lasted for a second before disappearing, Brian blink twice and scratched his eyes, "what was that?" He wondered went his door open up, he turn to look at Lucas who look worried and sweaty.
"What's going on?" Asked Brian, Lucas gulped trying to catch his breath and wiping his face before opening his mouth, Brian's expression grew cold as he dashed out of his room catching the yellow raincoat with him, followed behind by Lucas, went he reach the living room, he saw a shattered phone on the ground, Emily's phone.
"What nonsense are you blurting out!" Shouted Brian as he exited the house followed behind by Lucas, "stop running idiot, let's think first!" Lucas tried to stop him, "stop what, your saying that, some bizarre creature with horns and fur came through the windows and abducted Emily, how should I be calm!" Said Brian, "where's Mom and dad!" Asked Brian dashing towards the main road looking for any trace.
Lucas bypassed him showing the direction, "over here!" Brian immediately followed behind, this was one of Brian's strength and sometimes, his weakness, he reacted before asking any questions, "mom and dad left for a meeting with the other neighbors, that was before the rain started, he we have to find Emily as fast as possible!" Shouted Lucas.
They entered the park and ran into the bushes, Brian immediately had a flash, "wasn't this place?" But he was too distracted to grab the meaning and immediately ignored it.
"Look out!" Brian dodge and fell on the ground rolling away, Lucas dived into the bushes, strange looking arrows flew and stroke were they were once standing, Brian look up and saw a shadow, hindered by both the heavy rain and dark environment, he could only see a silhouette jumping from trees to trees, the figure stopped and look back.
"What the hell is that?" Brian and Lucas blurted out simultaneously, observing the person's strange characteristics who were shown briefly by the light produced by the lightening.
He/she had devil horns on her head, purple hairs and a devil tail, agile and fast, she was not different from a monster but look human, her purple cat like eyes glared at them smiling.
"Help me!" Lucas and Brian reacted at the distant shout the heard in the deep inside the forest, Brian's blood immediately boiled in anger, "you bastard!" He stood up rushing towards the shadow, "hand me back my sister!" The shadow creature immediately took out an arrow ready to aim.
Bang!
The shadow list it's balance as the bullet found it's way into his left shoulder, Lucas had difficulty aiming with all this unfavorable conditions, but that was enough, when the Shadow hit the floor, it tried to stand up but was frightened by what followed.
The shadow of a boot came at him smashing him back on the face and pinning him on the floor, the eyes glared at Brian, but Brian glared back at him, his gaze was cold and devoid of any compassion, "better tell me were she is or else" Two figures glared at the beastly man, the darkness made their gaze look like murderer.
