Charles sat quietly in his garden, relishing the peaceful surroundings. The soothing sounds of birds chirping and the calming flow of the lake's water filled the air.
However that peaceful feeling didn't last for long as it get disturbed by the sound of approaching footsteps, carrying a sense of anger. Charles immediately recognized who the footsteps belonged to and prepared for the impending conversation.
Charles raised his gaze to the doorway as it was flung open by an irate Han. He smiled, setting aside his glass and crossing one leg over the other, his voice laced with a playful tone."Ah, Han, have you come to join me for some company?"
Han cut straight to the point, slamming his hands down on the table with a frustrated exclamation. "Cut the crap! WHAT THE NONSENSE I'VE BEEN HEARING!!"
The impact of Han's slam caused the wine glass to fall from the table and shatter on the floor. Charles looked at him coldly, his voice stern in response."Han, you've overstepped!"
"You are the one who crossed the line with your stupidity!!!" Han's eyes flared yellow as a surge of anger coursed through him. His voice carried a furious tone as he yelled, "Are you out of your damn mind?! Going off to war and leaving the kingdom without a prince or king!"
Han take deep breaths trying to calm himself down as he brushes his hair back with his fingers as he looks at charles "did you even think about what will happen if you die? The kingdom will be totally chaotic! Demons need someone to control them!!"
Charles stood up from his seat, his voice firm as he spoke. "I know, but I have no choice. We need to put an end to this situation. The demons have had their fill of the war, but the humans are going too far."
Han exclaimed, his gaze fixed on Charles. "If you're going, then I'm coming too! We'll find a way to deceive the demons, one way or another."
Charles spoke in a mocking tone as he approached Han, his gaze fixed on the smaller man's frame compared to his own. He pulled down Han's shirt, revealing the damaged life core.
"You want to come with me?" Charles asked, his expression condescending. He then added coldly, "What are you going to do? You're completely useless right now. You can't even use your power, Han."
Han forcibly pushed Charles's hand away from his life core, clearly upset. "I don't care if I'm useless or not. I'm going, with or without your permission! And if I don't go then you won't go either!!"
Charles raised an eyebrow at Han, surprised by his defiant demeanor. It was typically Charles who issued commands, but Han was now asserting himself, asserting his authority over the situation. Nonetheless, Charles had made a promise to never treat Han the same way as before, and he intended to keep it.
He sighed as he saw han walk angrily away from him "wait han alright younare coming with me but at one condition!" Charles says as han stops walking as a smile had appeared on his face "what is the condition?"
Charles laid down his terms, his voice firm. "You'll stay behind me, and you will not do anything foolish. You will follow my instructions without question."Han nodded hastily, eager to acquiesce. "That's easy! I'll do exactly as you say."Han walked back to Charles, meeting his gaze with determination.
"Then get ready we are going to war tomorrow!" Charles says as han nodded since he knows that Charles was already planning everything they needed from weapons and supplies that how he found out about Charles plan
But he need to do something before they go… he needs to give back the life core he hide to it real owener
