Chapter 29 - THE BLACK CROWN -29-

The battlefield was a chaotic whirlwind of noise, flames, and bloodshed.

Demons and humans alike, both desperate for victory, clashed in fierce combat. The surrounding forest became a grim canvas painted with the lifeblood of both sides.

Bodies of demons and humans alike littered the forest floor, a stark and tragic reminder of the toll this battle was taking on both sides.

As the was continuing Han walked alongside Charles, watching as the demons efficiently dispatched humans. The sheer power Charles wielded made the task appear effortless.

With his special ability, Charles could see the vital life lines connecting to each creature. A simple gesture, a flick of his fingers, and the humans would fall lifeless.

Han was undeniably bored, as the overwhelming imbalance in strength made the whole endeavor seem almost comical to him. Despite Han's boredom, he couldn't help but relish the sight of blood spattering as lifeless bodies fell. The brutality and violence fed his thirst for bloodshed.

As they pressed further into the forest, the demons adhered to the plan, stopping at their designated areas. Each group of demons was stationed where they had been assigned, preparing to hold their positions against the encroaching humans.

A weakened demon suddenly clutched at Han's legs, pleading for help. The wounded demon's eyes pleaded to him as he begged for assistance.

Han glanced over at Charles, noting that he had moved a distance away, completely engulfed in battling the humans. A chilling smile tugged at the corners of Han's lips.

He pulled his leg away from the demon kicking him hard. The demon had roll on his back gasping for air from the hard kick… han's eyes had shined with yellow hue his desire for violence had grown as he walk to the suffering demon in front him

He rises his leg as he pushed it down against with strong force to break the life core of the demon the breaking sound the scream of the demon had satisfied him as he press his shoes harder until he smiled at the shattered core.

Han sighed in satisfaction as he looked at the dead body with side eyes before he pff in mockery before walked away to charles

Charles observed Han, a mix of disbelief and confusion on his face. He had grown accustomed to Han's unpredictability, but he still couldn't fully understand his mannerisms.

"You vanished for quite a while," Charles commented, his tone slightly disapproving. "Where did you run off to?"

Han responded with a nonchalant grin, his gaze fixed on Charles. "Oh, I was just 'helping' someone," he said, his words hinting at a darker undertone.

Hael and Aria finally arrived at the border between the second and third areas. Hael turned to Aria, a pleasant smile on his face.

"This appears to be where we part ways," he expressed. "I suppose we should bid each other farewell here."

Aria's frown betrayed her discontent with their situation. She longed to press further, to fight alongside the others in the heat of the battle. Nevertheless, she reluctantly acknowledged the necessity of their division, albeit with visible disappointment.

Hael tried to console her with a playful smile, his hand ruffling her hair gently. "Cheer up! I'm certain we'll emerge victorious," he assured her, his voice confident.

With that, Hael turned and headed towards the third area, where magic and physical strength would be significantly limited.

But would aria really stay still…? of course not! She want to press further. she want to kill the human king to take revenge for her brother with her own hands! The photo on her mind of eric suffering was her reason to ignore the whole plan and follow hael

As the time passed Aria closely observed Hael's every move, her gaze locked onto his form, silently studying his methods of dispatching the enemy.

Confusion crept over her as she noticed something peculiar about Hael's movements—he was consistently moving around, avoiding something.

"What is he avoiding..?" she muttered to herself, her curiosity growing with each passing moment. Aria hurriedly chased after Hael, determined to keep pace with his quick movements. Unfortunately, she failed to avoid one of the humans' traps, tripping and falling into it.

Hael's ears caught the sound of Aria's gasp, and he turned his gaze towards her direction in horror. To his shock, he saw a group of humans surrounding her, their intentions clear—to kill her.

He hissed in pain as a sword had stabbed his shoulder he immediately killed the human and run to aria Hael swiftly eliminated some of the humans surrounding Aria, giving her a chance to escape. His voice was filled with both pain and anger as he yelled, "Run! Get out of here!"

But before he could finish his sentence, a swordsman swung their weapon, cleanly impaling Hael from behind, directly targeting his life core.

Hael let out a gasp of pain, his body going rigid as a look of shock passed over his face.

Aria's eyes widened in horror as she caught sight of Hael's life core shattering into fragments, lifeless body collapsing onto her lap.

Overwhelmed with grief, anger surged through her veins, fueling her determination. In a swift and powerful move, she pulled Hael's sword and with one clean strike, she killed the human responsible for his death.

She softly lifted heal's dead body from her lap putting him on ground "I'm sorry… you wouldn't die if i wasn't that careless…" she bite her lips in regret as she stand up she was sad but his death but she need to go further
