Chapter 18 - 18. Don't need them,but can have them

As they were about to leave the mall, Lucas turned to one of the staff members who had been assisting them throughout the day. "Have all the clothes Sophia liked from that boutique packed up and delivered to my home," he instructed with a casual wave of his hand. "She can decide later which ones she wants to keep."

Sophia's eyes widened in surprise. "Lucas, you don't have to do that. I don't need all those clothes."

Lucas smiled, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "I know you don't *need* them, but I want you to have them. Consider it a gift for putting up with the nonsense earlier. Plus," he added with a teasing glint in his eyes, "I'd love to see you try them on later."

Sophia couldn't help but blush at his words. "You're spoiling me," she murmured, though a part of her felt touched by the gesture.

Lucas chuckled softly. "You deserve it."

Later that evening, after they returned home, Sophia was still marveling at the events of the day. Lucas had not only turned a potentially terrible shopping experience into a positive one, but now he was also going out of his way to make their evening special.

As she stepped out of the shower and prepared to unwind, she noticed the living room was dimly lit, with the soft glow of candles illuminating the space. Curiously, she walked toward the dining area, only to find that Lucas had set up an elegant candlelit dinner for them. The table was beautifully arranged with silverware and fine china, and at the corner of the room, a violinist was standing by, ready to perform.

"Lucas, this is incredible," Sophia whispered, her eyes wide with amazement.

Lucas, who was placing the last dish on the table, looked up and smiled warmly at her. "I wanted tonight to be special. After everything today, I thought we could use a relaxing evening."

Sophia walked over to him, her heart swelling with affection. "You really thought of everything, didn't you?"

He shrugged modestly. "Only the best for you."

They sat down at the table, and the violinist began to play a soft, melodious tune that filled the room with a warm, romantic atmosphere. As they started to eat, Sophia couldn't help but notice the variety of dishes laid out before them.

"You made all of this?" she asked, taking a bite of the perfectly cooked steak.

Lucas nodded, looking pleased with himself. "I wasn't sure what you'd be in the mood for, so I made a bit of everything. I hope there's something here you like."

Sophia chuckled, shaking her head in disbelief. "I think you covered all the bases. It's amazing, Lucas. I can't believe you went to all this trouble."

"It's no trouble," Lucas said with a grin. "Seeing you happy makes it all worth it."

As they continued to eat, the conversation flowed easily between them, the sound of the violin adding a magical touch to the evening. They talked about their day, their future plans, and even reminisced about some of their earlier dates. There was an ease and comfort between them that made the evening feel even more special.

At one point, Sophia paused to watch Lucas as he laughed at something she said. The way his eyes crinkled at the corners, the warmth in his smile—it all made her realize just how deeply she had fallen for him. There was something so genuine and caring about him, and she couldn't help but feel incredibly lucky to have him in her life.

"What are you thinking about?" Lucas asked, noticing her gaze.

Sophia blushed slightly, caught off guard. "Just how lucky I am to have you," she admitted softly.

Lucas's expression softened, and he reached across the table to take her hand in his. "I'm the lucky one, Sophia. You've brought something into my life that I didn't even know was missing. I can't imagine it without you now."

Sophia squeezed his hand, her heart full. "I feel the same way, Lucas."

After dinner, they lingered at the table, enjoying the music and each other's company. The violinist continued to play as Lucas stood up and extended his hand to Sophia.

"Dance with me?" he asked, his voice gentle.

Sophia smiled and took his hand, allowing him to lead her to the center of the room. They swayed together to the music, the world outside fading away as they focused only on each other. It was a perfect moment, one that Sophia knew she would treasure forever.

When the evening finally came to an end, they sat together on the couch, content and happy. Lucas glanced at her with a playful smile. "So, how did I do? Was this a good way to end the day?"

Sophia leaned her head on his shoulder, sighing contentedly. "It was perfect, Lucas. Thank you for everything."

He wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close. "Anything for you, Sophia."

As the night wore on, they eventually retired to bed, the memories of the day and evening leaving them both with a sense of contentment. For Sophia, it was more than just a romantic gesture—it was a reminder of how deeply Lucas cared for her, and how much she meant to him. And as she drifted off to sleep, she couldn't help but smile, knowing that she had found something truly special with him.
