Chapter 5 - 5. A crazy night

That evening, after the whirlwind of the wedding, Alex gently took Sophia by the hand and led her out of the grand reception hall. They stepped into a sleek, black luxury car waiting for them outside. As they drove away, the city lights blurred into a soft, glowing mosaic through the tinted windows. Sophia's thoughts raced, and her heart pounded with a mixture of excitement and uncertainty. The reality of her sudden marriage had yet to fully settle in, but there was something about Alex's presence that made her feel at ease. She stole glances at him, the way his hand rested comfortably on her thigh, his fingers occasionally brushing against her skin, sending a thrill up her spine.

Before she could dwell too much on her thoughts, the car slowed and turned onto a long, tree-lined driveway. The house that came into view was more of a mansion—grand and imposing, yet with an elegance that spoke of wealth and history. The facade was illuminated by soft exterior lighting, casting a warm, welcoming glow. Alex stepped out first, coming around to open the door for Sophia, who felt a flutter of nervous anticipation.

As they walked up the stone steps, the massive double doors swung open silently, revealing a butler and a few staff members lined up in the foyer. "Welcome home, Mr. and Mrs. Sterling," the butler said with a courteous bow, his voice polished and professional.

"Thank you, Davis," Alex replied smoothly, guiding Sophia inside. The staff dispersed quickly, leaving the couple alone in the grand entrance hall. Marble floors, crystal chandeliers, and intricately carved woodwork spoke to the opulence of the mansion, yet it was the subtle touches—fresh flowers arranged in elegant vases, soft lighting, and the faint scent of lavender—that added a warmth and intimacy to the space.

But it wasn't the entrance that took Sophia's breath away. Alex led her up a sweeping staircase, his hand firm and reassuring in hers. The corridor they walked down was lined with tasteful artwork and led to a pair of double doors at the end. Alex paused for a moment before opening them, glancing at Sophia with an almost boyish grin, as if he couldn't wait to see her reaction.

The doors opened to reveal the master bedroom, or rather, their bedroom. The space was vast but not overwhelming, designed with a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Soft, ambient lighting highlighted the rich textures of the room—velvet drapes, a plush king-sized bed adorned with silk sheets, and a few candles that flickered softly on the nightstands. The air was filled with a faint, enticing fragrance, and petals of deep red roses were scattered across the bed and floor, leading to the adjoining bathroom where a large tub filled with water and rose petals awaited them.

Sophia was speechless. Her breath caught in her throat as she took in the sight. "Alex... this is..." she trailed off, her voice barely a whisper.

He stepped closer, brushing a loose strand of hair from her face, his touch lingering against her cheek. "I wanted our first night together to be special, Sophia," he murmured, his voice low and husky. "You deserve nothing less."

A shiver ran down her spine, and she could feel the heat rising to her cheeks. His words, so sincere and filled with an undercurrent of desire, made her pulse quicken. "Thank you," she managed to say, her voice soft, almost vulnerable. "It's... perfect."

Alex's eyes darkened with something deeper, a smoldering intensity that made her heart skip a beat. "Not yet," he said softly, his gaze locked onto hers. "But it will be."

He stepped closer, his hands sliding around her waist, pulling her gently against him. The air between them seemed to crackle with tension, an invisible force drawing them closer. Sophia's breath hitched as she felt the heat of his body through the thin fabric of her dress. He leaned down, his lips brushing against the shell of her ear. "Sophia," he whispered, his voice sending a delicious thrill down her spine, "I've been wanting to do this all day."

Before she could respond, his lips were on hers, capturing them in a kiss that was slow and deliberate. His hands roamed up her back, tracing the curve of her spine, sending sparks of pleasure through her body. Sophia melted into him, her hands finding their way into his hair, pulling him closer, deepening the kiss. The taste of him was intoxicating, a mix of warmth and desire that left her craving more.

Alex took a step back, his hands never leaving her body, and in one swift motion, he scooped her up into his arms. Sophia gasped, clutching his shoulders for balance, but the smile on her lips showed she wasn't frightened, only excited.

He carried her to the bed, laying her down gently among the rose petals. He hovered above her for a moment, his eyes drinking in the sight of her beneath him, her chest rising and falling rapidly with anticipation. Slowly, he began to undress her, his fingers trailing over her skin with reverence as he unzipped her dress and slid it off her shoulders, revealing the smooth curves of her body.

Sophia's breath hitched as he kissed a path down her neck, his lips grazing the sensitive skin, making her moan softly. His hands were everywhere, exploring, teasing, sending waves of pleasure through her. She could feel his urgency, the way his breath quickened as he undressed himself, but there was also a tenderness in his touch, a carefulness that made her heart swell with emotion.

When they were both free of their clothes, Alex paused, looking down at her with an intensity that made her blush. "You're beautiful, Sophia," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "More than I ever imagined."

He leaned down, capturing her lips in another searing kiss, his hands cradling her face as if she were something precious. The kiss deepened, becoming more urgent, more demanding. Sophia responded with equal fervor, her body arching into his as the desire between them grew, a fire that could no longer be contained.

Their bodies moved together in perfect harmony, every touch, every kiss, heightening the pleasure that coursed through them. Sophia felt herself getting lost in the sensation, the world around them fading away until there was nothing but the two of them, their hearts and bodies entwined in a dance as old as time itself.

When they finally reached the peak, it was like a wave crashing over them, a rush of ecstasy that left them both breathless and trembling. Alex held her close as they came down from the high, his hands stroking her hair, his lips pressed to her forehead in a gentle kiss.

For a long time, they lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, the only sound in the room their breathing, slowly returning to normal. Sophia nestled her head against his chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart, feeling a sense of contentment and peace that she hadn't felt in a long time.

Alex tilted her chin up, kissing her tenderly, his voice a soft murmur in the quiet of the night. "I'm glad you're here, Sophia," he said, his eyes filled with a warmth that made her heart flutter. "This is only the beginning for us."

Sophia smiled, her fingers tracing patterns on his chest. "I'm glad too, Alex," she whispered, her eyes growing heavy with sleep. "I'm glad too..."

As she drifted off in his arms, the worries of the day seemed far away, replaced by the warmth and comfort of being with Alex. For the first time in a long while, Sophia felt safe, cherished, and deeply loved. And as sleep finally claimed her, she knew that whatever the future held, they would face it together.
