Chapter 1 - Prologue

In the city of eternal night, where the sky was a perpetual swirl of crimson red and abyss like darkness, the moon shone brightly and the streets hummed with the whispers of the forgotten.

Two figures on opposite sides stood motionless eyeing eachother with intent to kill. The air crackled with tension as the two figures faced off, their eyes locked in a silent challenge.

At one end stood a figure cloaked in shadows and mystery, the very essence of darkness swirling around them like a living entity. A being of unidentifiable gender. The figure's eyes glowed with an eerie, cold light, and their presence seemed to absorb the surrounding light, casting the world into deeper gloom. At the opposite end was their adversary, radiant in a halo of golden light. His armor gleamed as though forged from the sun itself, and his eyes blazed with the pure intensity of daylight.

Without warning, they launched at eachother, and the world around them seem to be a blur. Fists flew with lightning speed, too fast for the naked eye to track. Each strike landing with a force that reverberated throughout the world.

Their movements were filled with raw power whilst maintaining a dance of deadly precision. Both figures were interlocked in a stalemate, neither of them gaining the advantage. Both of them assessing the battle of pure technique came to a decision and made some distance to stop.

The form draped in darkness raised their hand that swept through the air, summoning tendrils of shadow that lashed out like whips, their edges sharp as blades. The darkness spread, swallowing the ground between them, turning the world into an even darker abyss.

But the man of light was undeterred. Raising his hand, he unleashed a blinding flash of pure radiance. The light exploded outward, cutting through the darkness with searing intensity, turning the shadowy tendrils to vapor. The darkness recoiled, retreating as if burned, but it did not dissipate entirely. Instead, it gathered behind the shadowed man, forming a massive, writhing form—a beast of nightmares that lunged forward with a roar.

The man clad in light scoffed," the beast of #*?@^* is nothing. #^**^# do you really think this will faze me? Oh how the mighty have fallen" The man then conjured a massive ball of light, pouring every ounce of magic he had. It illuminated the sky that was once black and becoming as big as a mountain. He raised his hand. The ball of light descended upon the beast and the figure in darkness.

[POV: Figure clothed in darkness]

I looked upon the ball of light and then looked at my companion that was always there with me. "Come here #*?@^, im sorry I couldn't summon you at full power and thank you for always being by my side. If only I wasn't injured."

I then summoned the last remaining power I had and casted a spell.

A spell to end this all…

After that the light engulfed us.

10,000 years later, a young man walked slowly down the corridor of an old mansion, his footsteps echoing off the marble floor. The mansion was a masterpiece of timeless beauty, with high ceilings adorned with intricate moldings and crystal chandeliers that glittered in the soft light. Rich, dark wood paneled the walls, each section carved with elaborate patterns, telling stories of the past.

Tall windows lined the corridor, draped with heavy velvet curtains that had faded to a deep burgundy over the years. Sunlight filtered through the glass, casting golden patterns on the floor, where the occasional dusty rug added warmth to the grand space.

The air was thick with history, carrying the scent of aged wood and the faint hint of roses from the gardens outside. Portraits of stern-faced ancestors watched him as he passed, their eyes following his every move.

He then abruptly stopped as he had reached a door. He gazed at the door admiring the intricate details and skills of the carpenter. Knocking at the door, he stepped back as the door opened. He was greeted by a butler in a neat uniform. He had grey hair and blue eyes. He politely bowed,"welcome young master the patriarch is waiting for you."

Before the young man entered, he suddenly collapsed leaving the butler to be flabbergasted and quickly call for help.

[A|N: changed to man in darkness to a figure in darkness as they are unidentifiable in the form they are in]
