Chapter 9 -  Chapter 009: The Experience of Weighing One Kilogram

"Dr. Cho, please don't try to understand the Devil Fruits from a scientific perspective."

Seeing Helen Cho's confused expression, Rosh couldn't help but smile. "As I mentioned, Devil Fruits cannot be explained by science."

"But… but this sounds too unbelievable."

It made sense, but shifting Helen Cho's thinking was still quite difficult.

"Dr. Cho, we have samples you can try. You can experience it yourself to understand the situation."

Rosh suggested, offering Helen Cho a chance to sample the fruit.

"Try it?" Helen Cho was quite surprised. She hadn't expected such a high-end item to offer samples.

"Certainly."

Rosh smiled and presented a sample of the Kilo-Kilo Fruit to Helen Cho.

Dr. Cho stared at the small piece of pink fruit, deep in thought.

Is this really edible?

But recalling the incredible scene with Rosh earlier, Helen felt a shift in her skepticism. The things she had seen today had already surpassed her usual understanding. Perhaps she needed to change her perspective.

After some hesitation, Helen Cho decided to take the sample.

"Dr. Cho, a friendly reminder: Devil Fruits don't taste very good... Actually, they're quite awful, so brace yourself."

As Helen was about to taste the sample, Rosh warned.

"Thank you for the warning, but taste isn't a concern for me."

With a nonchalant expression, Helen bit into the sample.

Then...

"Ugh!"

Helen's features contorted, and she almost spat it out instinctively. Thankfully, she managed to cover her mouth with both hands in time.

This is called 'bad'?

This is unbearable!

The threshold of taste is still within human tolerance!

But Helen Cho was no ordinary person. She used her considerable willpower to swallow the Devil Fruit sample.

*Gulp!*

Once the fruit was down, Helen's face immediately showed amazement.

She could feel a change in her body almost immediately.

Though she didn't understand the principle, she could actually sense her own weight!

And she could control it!

It felt like someone had put an invisible switch in her hands, allowing her to control it as easily as moving her limbs.

"This... this sensation..."

Helen's eyes widened in astonishment, her face reflecting utter disbelief.

"Dr. Cho, I'm sure you're experiencing it now, right?"

Rosh couldn't help but laugh and then added, "Please wait a moment."

He took out an umbrella and handed it to Helen. "Dr. Cho, you can try reducing your weight further and see how light you can become."

Helen Cho accepted the umbrella, puzzled by Rosh's intention.

However, her high intelligence quickly made her realize that if her weight was light enough, the buoyancy from the umbrella could make her float in the air, much like a parachute.

With eager anticipation, Helen opened the umbrella and tried to control her weight.

Since she had just eaten the fruit and was still unfamiliar with its power, it took her five minutes of effort to reduce her weight to nearly one kilogram.

When she lightly jumped, she shot up to the ceiling as if gravity had vanished!

Not only that but instead of falling back down immediately, she descended slowly due to the umbrella's buoyancy!

"I can't believe it!"

"This is nothing short of a miracle!"

Standing before Rosh again, Helen Cho's worldview had been completely shattered.

Devil Fruits are real!

Such a miraculous thing really exists!

With that, Helen had no more doubts.

"Store Manager, I'm very sorry. I never imagined that such incredible things could actually exist."

"I deeply apologize for my previous skepticism!"

Helen began to apologize to Rosh politely.

What a great person.

Beautiful, highly educated, capable, and so courteous in her dealings. Rosh silently nodded in admiration of Helen Cho.

"It's okay, Dr. Cho. I completely understand," Rosh waved his hand dismissively.

"Thank you for your understanding. Could you please continue introducing me to the other Devil Fruits?" Helen asked earnestly.

"Of course."

Rosh smiled and began to introduce Helen to the various Devil Fruits, including the Barrier Barrier Fruit, the Gum-Gum Fruit, the Wheel-Wheel Fruit, and many others, all of which amazed Helen and opened her eyes to a new world.

The human body could create barriers, turn into gum, transform into wheels... It was beyond belief!

Helen Cho was in awe.

After listening for a while, Helen Cho looked at Rosh and asked.

"Store Manager, these fruits are all incredibly magical and can be considered miracles. However, is there any fruit that can help others?"

"Help others? Dr. Cho, could you be more specific?" Rosh inquired.

"Since I don't know much about these Devil Fruits, I can't be too specific, but the purpose of creating the Regeneration Cradle was to save lives and break the boundaries of medicine, relieving people from suffering."

"I want to be someone who helps others and benefits society. Do you understand my point?"

"If that's the case, Dr. Cho, I have a fruit to recommend."

Rosh understood Helen Cho's intention and pondered briefly before making a recommendation.

"This Devil Fruit is called the Heal-Heal Fruit. As its name suggests, eating it grants you the ability to heal others."

Rosh pointed to the Heal-Heal Fruit in the display case.

"Healing others?"

Helen Cho's eyes lit up. This indeed matched her needs. "Store Manager, could you provide a detailed introduction to this Devil Fruit?"

"Certainly. As the name implies, the Heal-Heal Fruit has the ability to heal 'biological injuries.'"

"Wait, Store Manager, when you say 'biological injuries,' does this mean the Healing Fruit's healing target is not limited to humans?" Helen interrupted Rosh.

"Of course, the Heal-Heal Fruit can heal all diseases in all living beings
