Chapter 10 - Chapter 010: The Second Fruit Sold

All living beings!

All diseases!

The repetition of "all" was an absolute description that profoundly struck Helen Cho's nerves.

As a scientist, Helen found these two terms to be extraordinarily significant. It was rare to encounter a situation where "all" could be used to encompass such a broad range.

While the concept of "all living beings" might be somewhat acceptable—after all, human and animal physiological structures, though different, often share similarities—"all diseases" was another matter entirely.

If it could truly be achieved...

Helen could barely imagine it.

"Store Manager, can it really cure all diseases? I mean, can it cure terminal conditions like cancer, leukemia, Parkinson's syndrome?"

Helen Cho took a deep breath and stared intently at Rosh, her voice serious.

"Of course, Dr. Cho. As I said, it can cure all diseases! For the Heal-Heal Fruit, there's only the distinction between diseases and non-diseases; there is no such thing as an incurable disease."

In response to Helen's hopeful gaze, Rosh gave a firm answer.

"Really?"

Helen's voice trembled slightly.

If the Heal-Heal Fruit truly had such godlike powers, it would completely revolutionize and reshape the entire medical field!

It would be a boon for all humanity!

"Not only can it cure pathological diseases, but it can also heal injuries, such as wounds or poisoning, and restore them quickly."

Rosh's words made Helen Cho marvel once again.

It can heal diseases and injuries. This fruit is indeed incredibly powerful.

But what about treating injuries...

Will it leave scars or something?

Helen asked Rosh this question.

"Of course not. The Heal-Heal Fruit's healing is perfect; it leaves no flaws or side effects."

Rosh answered definitively.

"It doesn't leave scars?"

Helen could hardly remain calm. Even setting aside other aspects, just this feature alone would drive countless people wild.

"The Heal-Heal Fruit is not limited to just these abilities, Dr. Cho. If you have enough talent or put in enough effort, you can develop the fruit's power to a high level and access its ultimate ability: 'Restoration.'"

Rosh continued his explanation.

"Restoration?"

Helen was momentarily confused, not fully grasping the meaning of this word.

Isn't healing essentially Restoration?

"Yes, Restoration. With this ability, you can revert the target to its original, flawless state, regardless of whether it's organic or inorganic."

"In other words, Restoration can also be used to repair objects! For example, if something is accidentally broken, you can use Restoration to revert it to its state before it was broken."

*Gasp!*

Helen Cho couldn't help but gasp.

Not only can it heal living beings, but it can also repair objects. This is just too mind-blowing!

It's almost unimaginable!

Helen's worldview had shattered into pieces, beyond repair.

"However, it's best not to use the Restoration ability lightly, as it will consume the user's lifespan."

Rosh warned seriously, "But there are no issues for ordinary healing. So, Dr. Cho, are you satisfied with the Heal-Heal Fruit?"

"Very satisfied! This is exactly the fruit I want!"

Helen nodded decisively, making her decision. "Store Manager, I've decided. I want this fruit!"

"The Heal-Heal Fruit is priced at five million dollars. However, due to the store's opening discount of 30%, you only need to pay three and a half million dollars."

Rosh quoted the price to Helen Cho.

"I didn't expect the Heal-Heal Fruit to be so cheap." Helen sighed genuinely.

This isn't Helen trying to impress anyone. Given the value demonstrated by the Heal-Heal Fruit, even thirty million wouldn't be excessive.

Now, that's what I call a bargain!

Rosh was quite pleased. Doing business with someone who isn't short on money is indeed satisfying.

"Store Manager, I'd like to purchase the Heal-Heal Fruit now. If it's as amazing as you say, I'll return to buy more."

Helen Cho took out a bank card and handed it to Rosh.

"The store offers genuine products and is honest with its dealings. What I've said isn't exaggerated at all. You'll see for yourself after consuming it."

Rosh took the card, swiped it smoothly, and then returned it to Helen. "However, if you wish to repurchase, that might not be possible for now. The store currently only has one of each Devil Fruit."

This was something Helen hadn't anticipated. She nodded and didn't say more.

Since she hadn't experienced the Heal-Heal Fruit yet, there was no point in discussing repurchase options.

After completing the payment, Rosh retrieved the Healing Fruit from the display case and handed it to Helen Cho.

He added thoughtfully, "Dr. Cho, you only need to take one bite of the Devil Fruit; only the first bite is effective. After you eat the first bite, the remaining fruit becomes useless."

Helen had never heard of this, and it couldn't be explained by common sense, but it was actually a good thing for her.

Thinking about having to eat such an unappetizing fruit was troubling enough!

Since only one bite was necessary, that was certainly for the best.

And...

"Store Manager, can I take the remaining fruit home with me?" Helen Cho asked tentatively.

Although Rosh said the remaining fruit was useless, Helen, being a scientist, preferred to see things for herself.

She planned to take the remaining fruit home for analysis.

"Of course, the fruit is now yours, Dr. Cho. How you handle it is up to you," Rosh said matter-of-factly.

"That's great!" Helen said with genuine delight.

She then turned slightly to avoid letting Rosh see her ungraceful eating, and took a bite of the Heal-Heal Fruit.

Just like when she had sampled the Kilo-Kilo Fruit, she immediately felt a miraculous change in her body.

A new ability had emerged.

The ability was indescribable in words, but she could feel it clearly.

She knew it was indeed a power to heal others!

"By the way, Dr. Cho, I've created a group. Would you like to join? It's a place where we can discuss any issues."

Rosh asked Helen Cho.

"Of course!"

Helen agreed without hesitation.
