Diana's long legs dangled as Su Sheng carried her, and she didn't resist. Perhaps she was afraid that resisting would lead to Su Sheng killing the Amazons, or maybe she was still in shock from witnessing the Godkiller's destruction.
Su Sheng carried Diana, his eyes scanning the shocked faces around him. He then turned to Artemis with a smirk and said, "Untie them all. As long as they don't resist, things will go back to how they were before. I'm only interested in her." With that, he patted Diana on the rear, humming a tune as he headed to the room, ready for some morning exercise.
Without the influence of the Lasso of Truth, Su Sheng wondered if Diana would put up a struggle. Since she wasn't likely to take the initiative like Helena or Felicity, resisting could be interesting. After all, overpowering Wonder Woman was still a thrilling achievement.
Artemis, in a daze, gave the order to release Hippolyta and the others. The Amazons, now freed, seemed to be in a state of confusion.
Hippolyta's expression shifted as she watched Diana being carried away.
"Queen, if he really traveled through time from the future, he won't stay for long. Diana will have time… time to seek revenge on him," Artemis said, trying to console Hippolyta. She understood the queen's turmoil, but sacrifices were often inevitable in war. Just as she had sacrificed herself to stay loyal to Su Sheng, Diana's sacrifice was for the sake of Paradise Island. It was… worth it.
Bang!
Diana was thrown onto the bed, and Su Sheng leaned in to kiss her.
"Ugh!"
Su Sheng felt a sharp pain at the corner of his mouth and pulled back with a groan.
Wiping the corner of his mouth, his fingers came away smeared with bright red blood. He looked at Diana, who was filled with indignation and determination, and smiled.
"That's more like it."
"If she could resist and still choose not to, she wouldn't be Wonder Woman."
"The mood yesterday was all wrong, but today… today it's finally right." Su Sheng grinned wickedly and leaned in again. This time, Diana raised her arms and, using her wrist guards, unleashed a surge of divine power that blasted Su Sheng off of her and slammed him against the wall.
Su Sheng shook his shoulders, stood up, and glared at Diana with the intensity of a predator about to pounce.
He didn't need a mirror to know he must look like a complete devil at that moment—the kind of villain who beats the hero down until the very last moment.
Diana's hand reached for the Lasso of Truth that Su Sheng had left behind. She grabbed it, her eyes gleaming with determination.
The second round was about to begin.
Boom!
Suddenly, a loud noise came from outside. Both Diana and Su Sheng turned to the window, surprised. Outside, there was an explosion, with screams and panic echoing in the air. Diana spun around and dashed toward the window.
Crash!
The window shattered as Diana leaped through it, descending to the ground below.
As she landed, she was momentarily stunned.
Not far from the fire, smoke filled the square. The bodies of several Amazons lay scattered on the ground, while the remaining Amazons were engaged in a brutal fight with each other. Could it be that her mother and the others were rebelling against Artemis's people?
No, something was wrong!
Diana soon realized that Artemis was also fighting against her own people.
They were killing each other!
"Stop it! Stop! What are you doing? Why are you killing each other?" Diana shouted, rushing in to separate the combatants using her hands or the Lasso of Truth.
"Mother!"
Swish!
A sword whizzed past Diana, narrowly missing her. She hurried to stop the attacker and was shocked to see her mother still poised to strike.
Hippolyta's expression shifted slightly, taking a moment to register what was happening.
"What's going on? Could it be…"
"It's not him," Diana said calmly, shaking her head. "There's another intruder."
Clap, clap, clap!
The sound of clapping echoed through the firelit square as the flames parted, revealing someone walking out, clapping their hands slowly.
A woman.
She wore a black dress full of exposed holes, with short hair cropped close to her head. Her dark eyeshadow and lipstick gave her a gothic appearance.
"Who are you?" Diana asked warily.
"I'm your sister," the woman said with a smile.
Sister?
Diana surveyed the carnage around her and then looked back coldly. "I don't have a sister like you."
"Oh, but she really is your sister," Su Sheng's voice cut in as he slowly approached Diana, chuckling. "I have to say, I really admire that old lecher Zeus. He fathered children with everyone he could. Your siblings aren't just Ares, the God of War. This little goth here? She's Eris."
"The Goddess of Strife?" Diana asked, surprised.
"That's right, the very same Goddess of Strife who used a golden apple to start the Trojan War," Su Sheng nodded and grinned. "Your mother should recognize her. After all, many years ago, humans, the gods of Olympus, and the Atlanteans once teamed up to fight Steppenwolf when he invaded Earth."
Diana instinctively looked at Hippolyta, who responded in a low, solemn voice, "She should be dead. The gods were supposed to be killed by Ares."
Eris scoffed with disdain. "If the gods were dead, you wouldn't still be alive. My jealous mother, Hera, wouldn't have let a woman who had an affair with my father, Zeus, live!"
Hippolyta's face darkened.
"What are you doing here on Paradise Island?" Diana demanded.
"Paradise Island? I thought it had become Slave Island, so I came to help you, dear sister." Eris turned her gaze to Su Sheng with a smirk. "And you, how did you get divine power? Are you another son of Zeus?"
"I'm your father!" Su Sheng said with a grin.
Eris froze momentarily before bursting into laughter. "I'm afraid my mother wouldn't agree."
"That's okay, I wouldn't mind taking her to bed," Su Sheng said with a dismissive chuckle.
Eris was taken aback and looked up at the sky. "Mother, did you hear that? Someone wants to take you to bed."
The sky remained unchanged; either Hera didn't hear or chose not to respond.
"End this madness, or… I'll make you end it," Diana shouted, ready to fight.
"Why don't you try?" Eris raised an eyebrow, smiling.
Before the words had fully left her mouth, Diana had already charged at Eris.
Boom!
In the blink of an eye, Diana, who had just rushed forward, was sent flying backward, crashing through a wall and landing in the rubble.
"Weakling!"
