Naples.

Day Six of the Trip.

Inside Liliana's private room at the Kranjcar Villa.

"Say, Karen, is it true? That Erica actually beat me to it…?" Liliana fidgeted anxiously, looking at her personal maid, Karen.

Karen nodded seriously, her tone grave. "Yes, Miss Liliana, you remember, don't you? Yesterday morning, Miss Erica and the King disappeared together for several hours, only returning at lunchtime?"

"Didn't they go jet skiing? ... Wait, don't tell me they did it on the jet ski?" Liliana gasped, then, realizing the implications, quickly covered her mouth.

"Yes, Miss Erica openly admitted it. She even invited you to her room this afternoon for a heart-to-heart.

She said that as fellow Knights of the Holy Grail of Europe, she would grant you a proper 'defeated opponent's treatment'," Karen said, mimicking Erica's queenly demeanor and laughter.

Liliana scowled, grinding her teeth. "That golden-haired fox! How dare she say that! She just got there first! What's so great about it? A 'defeated opponent's treatment'... Damn it!"

Karen shrugged helplessly, sighing. "There's nothing we can do. After all, Erica and the King are that kind of relationship now.

And despite all my support, Miss Liliana, you're still just a Knight. A Knight can't refuse the Queen's orders, you know. Please accept my condolences."

"Your… your plans were just too embarrassing! Climbing into Haru's bed in flimsy pajamas and all that… It was just too mortifying!"

Liliana retorted, blushing. During their six days in Naples, Karen had kept proposing such plans, completely disregarding Liliana's maidenly modesty, causing her to abandon each attempt halfway through.

"But I also suggested the yacht plan, didn't I? Miss Erica succeeded with a similar approach," Karen said with a sly grin, watching Liliana's face redden.

"Th-that… that was just an accident! Yes, just an unforeseen circumstance!" Liliana covered her blushing face, whispering her rebuttal, her voice trailing off weakly.

"But doesn't it prove that my plans can work? How about we try another one? We could get it done before your meeting with Miss Erica this afternoon. Wouldn't that give you equal footing?" Karen whispered into Liliana's ear.

"...Surprisingly, I can't argue with that. So, what's your plan? Wait! Didn't Haru say last night that he was going sightseeing in the city with Sora and the others today?"

Liliana suddenly remembered Haru mentioning his plans for the day during the beach barbecue the previous night.

Karen stared at Liliana's face, which was slowly losing its color. "It seems they left just a while ago and won't be back until evening."

Liliana slumped against the wall, burying her face in her hands. "I'm… doomed. But to lose to Erica… Absolutely not!"

Lost in despair, Liliana didn't notice the strange smile that spread across Karen's face.

...

3:00 pm.

The Neapolitan sky blazed with the harsh glare of the sun, bathing the earth in a golden light.

Liliana stood anxiously outside, hesitating for a long time before finally mustering the courage to knock.

Knock! Knock!

"Is that you, Lili? Come in." Erica's calm voice drifted from inside.

Liliana fumbled with the doorknob, taking three tries to push the door open, despite it being a simple action.

"Hey, Lili, come sit here. I have something to tell you…" Erica, sitting on the large bed in the room, patted the empty space beside her.

"No way. I hate talking to you. Nothing good ever happens after I talk to you," Liliana replied coldly.

This reaction was expected. Erica gave a knowing, almost matronly smile.

"Don't be so cold. We're childhood friends, after all."

"Don't try to act close. We just grew up in rival magical societies. We're lifelong rivals, that's all," Liliana retorted without hesitation, stating the plain, if somewhat generalized, truth.

Erica tilted her head, a charming smile playing on her lips. It was precisely this kind of teasing that often made Liliana fall prey to Erica's schemes.

"Knight Liliana" Erica said, her voice playful as she put on a serious expression. "As the King's consort, I command you to sit."

Hesitating for a moment, Liliana finally walked towards the bed and sat gingerly beside Erica. "Alright, just tell me how you plan to make fun of me. Let's get it over with."

Looking at Liliana's expression, which clearly conveyed, "If you make any unreasonable demands, I'll commit seppuku," Erica chuckled and picked up a glass of water from the bedside table.

"Don't be so tense. I just want to tease you a little. All you have to do is drink this glass of water with a strong laxative in it. Simple, right?"

"..."

Liliana's eyes flashed with anger as she glared at the smirking Erica. Then, suppressing her rage, she snatched the glass and gulped down the contents.

After that, Liliana lost consciousness.

...

"Its time to call Haru" Erica said. A wide smile spread across Erica's face. She quickly summoned a crystal and crushed it.

Haru's figure instantly appeared in the room. "What's wrong, Erica? Why the sudden alarm?"

Erica pointed at Liliana, giving a sheepish grin. "Sorry, I went a bit overboard."

Haru followed Erica's finger and looked at Liliana's vacant stare, his face filled with confusion. "What did you do?"

"Well… um…" Erica fidgeted, explaining the situation to Haru.

Haru's lips twitched as he glared at Erica. "I'll deal with you later."

"I'm looking forward to it," Erica purred. "Are we doing it from behind this time?"

...

A sharp, stinging sensation jolted Liliana back to awareness.

"What…? Haru?!" Liliana looked in shock at Haru, who was moving on top of her.

Haru kissed her gently. "What's wrong, Lili? Spacing out at a time like this?"

Feeling the strange fullness within her, Liliana stammered, "Why… why is Haru here?"

"Huh? Didn't you come to me yourself this afternoon?" Haru looked at the dazed Liliana with a puzzled expression as he increased his pace.

"I… I did?" Liliana felt her mind was a jumbled mess. Then, as Haru continued, her awareness faded into the pleasure.
