Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: High School DxD?

In the town of Kuoh, at Kuoh Academy, a second-year student in Class B sat among his classmates, all of whom were diligently listening to the lecture. However, his expression betrayed an intense confusion, making him stand out like a sore thumb.

"Did I… transmigrate?"

Blake Silverstone muttered to himself in disbelief as he tried to process the unfamiliar memories flooding his mind.

Though the name of his current body matched his old one—Blake Silverstone—everything else had changed drastically.

In his past life, he had black hair and dark eyes, with a fairly ordinary appearance. He was just another high school student, an orphan with no family or special prospects.

But now? He had silver hair and piercing blue eyes, paired with striking good looks that exuded an air of both charm and aloofness.

More importantly, his identity had undergone a complete transformation. He was now the eldest son of the prestigious Silverstone family, a renowned clan of magicians, and a transfer student attending Kuoh Academy in Japan.

Yet, despite being the heir to such a powerful family, he was considered an outcast. The Silverstone family had passed down black hair and dark eyes for generations, and his silver hair and blue eyes made him an anomaly—an aberration. This led to his alienation, and as a result, he was sent to Kuoh Academy, with only the support of his younger sister, Lia Silverstone.

"Wait… Kuoh Town? Kuoh Academy?"

As fragments of his memories began to piece together, Blake Silverstone's crystal-blue eyes widened in shock.

"Kuoh Town... Kuoh Academy... Isn't this the school where the protagonist and heroines from High School DxD are enrolled?"

Desperately seeking confirmation, Blake sifted through his memories.

After half an hour of intense review, he exhaled deeply, a bitter smile curling his lips.

The Silverstone family was a powerful lineage of magicians, skilled in the ancient art of thaumaturgy. They practiced sorcery passed down through generations, studying the mysteries of the world. They were well-versed in many magical schools of thought, and Blake had inherited their knowledge, though he was largely regarded as a failure due to his unique traits.

Piecing everything together, Blake confirmed it—this was indeed the world of High School DxD, a universe filled with supernatural beings like devils, fallen angels, vampires, dragons, and more. The Silverstone family's magical records mentioned all of these entities.

What solidified his realization was the presence of Rias Gremory, Akeno Himejima, and Koneko Toujou in his memories—key characters from the original story.

"While I always dreamed of transmigrating, I never imagined landing in such a dangerous world. Should I be happy… or terrified?"

Taking a deep breath and lightly patting his cheeks, Blake sighed.

As the eldest son of the Silverstone family, even though he was considered an outcast, he had secretly been taught some advanced sorcery by his sister. However, due to the strict watch of his family and the inherent difficulty of magic—heavily influenced by innate talent—Blake had only mastered the basics.

Apart from sorcery, he possessed a unique ability called Perceptual Distortion, a magical technique that could distort the perception of speed. When used, it created the illusion that Blake was moving at an impossibly high speed, while in reality, his opponents' senses were slowed, making them perceive him as a blur. This ability was similar to the powers of Racer from Fairy Tail—though Blake's ability did not accelerate him, it instead affected the perception of others, much like Racer's magic of creating the illusion of speed by distorting time.

This power could confuse his enemies, leaving them unable to keep up with his movements, even if he was merely moving at an average pace.

Lastly, Blake had a profound affinity Magic Swordsmanship where the blade became an extension of a mage's will, powered by magical energy. This style wasn't based on physical strength or agility but on the manipulation of magical energy to enhance the sword's strikes, allowing Blake to channel spells directly through his blade.

"With these abilities, while I can't face mid-level devils or stronger beings, I should be able to handle ordinary humans and low-level devils. At least I have some means of survival…"

Having assessed his capabilities, Blake began considering his future.

Thanks to his past life, which was filled with novels, games, and other media, Blake had unparalleled mental fortitude and adaptability. After all, as an orphan, he had already overcome countless hardships without succumbing to bitterness or despair.

Just then, as he pondered his next move, a strange voice suddenly echoed in his mind.

Startled, Blake's expression shifted from confusion to excitement, a devilish grin forming on his lips.

"Now this is more like it. What kind of transmigrator would I be without a cheat system?"

"Activation complete. Greetings, Master! I am Sia, the spirit of the Luck Plunder System. It's a pleasure to serve you!"

A sweet, melodic voice rang out, bringing a smile to Blake's face. A system spirit? Now this was more like what he had been hoping for.

"Sia, huh? Could you explain the system's functions to me?"

With the ease of someone who had read countless transmigration stories, Blake quickly communicated through his thoughts rather than speaking aloud. After all, shouting into the void was so outdated.
