Dan stood at the front of the front door of a two-story mansion, the Martins' house, donned in a white T-shirt and black baggy shorts with matching sneakers, he also wore a smartwatch. The weather was cool, sounds of birds and crickets chirping could be heard behind the fence of the house which was a lightly wooded area with tall palm trees.
He held the handle of the smart door lock, a modern electronic lock. The lock features a touchscreen keypad with numbers and symbols, likely for entering a passcode with a thumbprint mechanism on the handle. He made to turn it but it was locked, then he looked up at the electric doorbell and grinned.
He scratched his brown hair and brought out a tab from the pocket of his baggy shorts, he switched it on.
Immediately a hologram of a female head popped out from the screen and started floating on it, it looked beautiful although its face glowed blue.
Immediately it spoke with an electronic female voice.
"Good afternoon Master, how are you doing?"
The hologram greeted.
"Ah....." Dan groaned softly "I'm kinda tired, for the past few weeks we have been traveling around the world"
Dan blinked a few times.
"I'm sorry about that Master," the hologram said, "you should have a rest, so what do you summon me for, as you can see, I'm functioning well, I'm good to go anytime"
The electronic voice seems to speak louder as if motivated, although its expression remains blank.
"Shh!!" Dan shushed it as his eyes widened "You are gonna let Silvia hear us" he whispered.
"Hm-hm!!" He cleared his throat, "I know about that, genie!, you are good to go since you are an AGI, my OmniMind" Dan said and fondled the tab to his cheek like a pet "With your built-in anti-virus and auto-update system, you can't possibly break down" Dan stretch the tab forward and shook his head lightly gesticulatingly as if he was talking to a person.
"You are right master, instead I evolve using the evolutionary algorithm you created, it is all thanks to you," the hologram said and made a bow with its head.
"Except if my tab battery runs down of course" Dan concluded. "Back to business, I want you to hack this smart door lock"
"No problem, Done," the Hologram said.
The smart door lock whirred softly and made a clicking sound as if unlocked.
Dan adjusted his smartwatch and smirked.
"Awesome! You have evolved quite well, it only takes a quintillionth of a second" Dan said cheerfully.
"You are wrong Master, it took me 1.355055 quintillionth of a second, in other words, 1.355055 attoseconds" the hologram corrected.
"Anyway that was awesome," Dan said as he turned the door handle and entered.
"Wow! Silvia you cool?" Dan said with a surprised expression as he entered into the opulent living room, there on the ash-colored plush sofa was Silvia who was lying down, she was donned in a white sleeveless crop top and black athletic shorts with white trim, and she was gazing at her phone and smiling, an expression that doesn't normally show. As if on cue Silvia flinched and glanced at the door to see the person who had entered, she sat up and placed her phone at her side on the plush sofa, gazing at Dan with a cold look like he was an uninvited visitor.
"How do you enter? And what the hell are you doing here?" Silvia snarled.
"Whoa! Whoa! Chill sis, chill" Dan replied smiling softly as he used his left hand to swipe down across his chest gesticulatingly, his right hand holding his tab.
"I'm sorry, but I h-hacked the door lock" he concluded stuttering slightly.
Silvia stood with her hands akimbo.
"Excuse me genius boy, could you repeat what you said you did?" She asked with a glare that started to resemble a burning gaze, her face started to contort in fury.
"I forgot the passcode," Dan said with a pitiful expression, his eyes almost teary-eyed. That's the extent of Silvia's fury.
"I don't remember telling you the passcode" Silvia retorted "Besides, you should have rang the doorbell, you have no excuse," she said speaking the syllables slowly in an angry tone.
"Ok, my bad," Dan said raising his hands up in surrender. "So, what are you gazing at in your phone, you looked to be in a good mood earlier"
"That is rare," Dan said sharply.
"Nothing of your concern" Silvia replied smugly and sat back down, her face turned slightly red.
"Hmm..." Dan sounded. "Normally with your cold expression, you would be either studying or training, perhaps someone asked you on a date and you're pondering on it?" Dan said in a teasing tone, he then brought out his tab and whispered softly to it.
"You should know I don't have time for that," Silvia said and shook her head slightly as if the idea was irritating to her, "and besides, what would a thirteen-year-old boy like you know about love, you are a Maverick type, you do what benefits you without considering people"
"Don't talk as if I'm some sort of terrorist" Dan replied defensively. "Hmm.. what is with this strand that dangled over his forehead, some sort of hairstyle? But the boy is quite handsome tho" Dan said and smirked as he gazed at his tab.
"You have a good taste, sis!" He beamed.
"W-what are you looking at?" Silver flinched and stood. "Don't tell me you hacked my phone gallery!!" Silvia screamed.
"Just checking," Dan said and made to run.
Silver busted into speed as she started chasing Dan around the living room.
"My privacy!!" Silvia shrieked as if her life depended on Dan's tab.
Dan made to jump over the plush sofa but Silvia caught him by the scruff of the neck.
"I surrender," he said as he stretched the tab to Silvia, with his legs still across the top of the sofa, the pillows were now scattered across the floor.
"I can't operate your freaky tech!" Silvia shouted, "Disconnect it immediately!"
"Alright," Dan said softly. "Disengage operation"
"Understood, and Done," an electronic female voice said as the blue female head hologram popped up and started floating across the tab screen.
Seeing the hologram Silvia gave a sudden expression of surprise.
"Y-you didn't have this before" she stuttered.
"I just integrated her last month," Dan said smiling sheepishly as Silvia still clutching at the scruff of his neck. He pointed at Silvia's hand like he was signifying to Silvia to release him.
Silvia released him and they both went to pick the pillows which were scattered across the floor of the living room, then they sat down on the sofa. Silvia breathed out heavily and gazed upwards. Silence fell for a moment in the opulent living room...
