Chapter 34 - Chronicle 34 ~ Breakthrough ~ Spirit Sea Realm (1)

The moment he released the Hell Flames, they began to rampage freely, until they had covered the entire pool.

He had already asked Elder Ling and he told him he could absorb as much as he could, so there was no need to stand on ceremony.

"Devour"

He gave a command to the Hell Flames, and all hell was let loose, the Hell Flames began burning the entire pool, but it mostly focused on the berserk energies as that was where the most karma was.

And that was also where most of the essence where gathered, as soon as it began burning the berserk energies Vin felt like he had swallowed lava as huge amounts of flaming hot essence was being infused into his body.

This reminded him of when he had actually fallen into a lake of magma only this time, he was actually melting from the inside.

As the Flaming blood essence flowed throughout his body, they began to strengthen it, they refined his blood making it purer, they also began stretching and strengthening his meridians.

And after that they flowed into his bones and strengthened it too, but while all these were happening, Vin was feeling an incredible amount of pain unlike never before.

This was even different than when he had fallen into a lake of magma, then he had only lasted a while before he had passed, so he didn't experience the pain of his evolution, but this time around it was different.

Although his will power was one of his greatest strengths in battle, this time it had become his bane as it allowed him to experience the pain of evolution in full without passing out.

Vin had thought the pain was going to subside after a while, but he was solely mistaken, as more essence flowed through his body, the pain intensified and he had to bear the brunt of it all.

This continued through the the first day, second day and third day, but there was no end to it, the blood and bone marrow essence in this pool had been accumulated for hundreds of years so there was a lot of it.

Vin hadn't even absorbed up to a significant amount of it yet, so this continued on even till the fifth day with no stopping it, but Vin persevered, he didn't even let out a single cry only gritting his teeth.

Meanwhile, outside the stone door, Elder Ling was pacing back and forth with restless footsteps, there was deep worry but also expectation and excitement written on his face.

He had been outside the stone door for the past five days, and frankly he was quite surprised but also worried about Vin.

If not for the fact that he could still sense that Vin was still alive and well he would have stormed the place by now. But he was also expectant and excited, Vin lasting this long was a testament to his terrifying talent and potential.

The greatest in the history of the outer court, as no one had ever lasted that long in the spirit pool. And so he waited as he wanted to see the limits of where he could reach.

He was going to witness the birth of a demonic genius, who wouldn't be surprised.

'If I had known I would have taken him as my deciple long ago, that would have been my greatest achievement.' Elder Ling thought to himself.

High above in the sky there was also someone else that was watching Vin as he cultivated in the spirit pool within a mountain behind the Golden lotus pavilion.

And that was his master, as old Bai watched Vin devour the berserk energies in the spirit pool, he stroked his beard with a faint smile on his face.

"Go on kid, let loose, you don't have to worry about that aftermath, I'll take care of it for you" he muttered to himself.

Another three days passed as Vin was still in the spirit pool, today was the eight day since Vin entered, and in past few days his body had been stuffed with so much essence that he felt he might explode.

But he didn't dare to stop his absorption as just two days ago he had hit the barrier of the next realm, the Spirit sea realm.

And just like it's name suggests, this was the realm where you start having access to the spiritual energy of the world, although his skills had looked amazing when he used them before, that was only because of his terrifying talent and comprehension.

There was going to be a qualitative change when you use spiritual energy to cast the same skills again.

When breaking into the Spirit sea realm, one had to gather the spiritual energy of the world and condense it into a small lake in his dantian.

The dantian was a small world below your abdomen where all your energy was stored.

When Vin sent his mind into his dantian, he was amazed at how massive it was.

"Since this is the dantian, it feels like I'm standing in a void of empty space" Vin muttered to himself as he looked around, indeed he was correct as the entire space looked like an empty dark space.

But that was when he saw it in the distance, a huge thick transparent barrier that spanned across the entire space, he moved forward until he was standing right on front of it.

Then he raised his hand and placed it on the barrier, he could feel the thickness of the barrier just by touching it.

"So this is the barrier of the next realm, it's definitely not going to be easy to break through it, but I definitely won't give up, now then why don't we get this new battle started" Vin chuckled loudly as he cracked his imaginary muscles.

And then....

"Booooooom!!!!!!"

He have a heavy punch towards the barrier but the barrier only rippled without any other effects.

'This is definitely going to be difficult'

"Booooooom!!!!!!"

"Booooooom!!!!!!"

Large booming sounds rang out as heavy exchange of blows were traded on the barrier, only this time he was the only one attacking.

After a while of punching out with just his physical strength, he started using all the skills at his disposal, and since this was just a manifestation of his mind, he could wield his skills as much as he wanted.

But this was also a drain on his stamina and his mental energy, he kept on attacking the barrier over and over again until he lost count on how many times he had done so.

It was only until two days later that the barrier started showing signs of crackes but by then he was already almost exhausted both physically and mentally.

But he didn't give up because if he did so now, then all his efforts would have been in vain, and it would be twice the difficulty when he tries to breakthrough again.

Breaking the barrier was even more difficult than he had imagined, he was definitely very sure that others wouldn't have the same difficulty as he was having.

And he knew just the reason why, 'So my potential is this terrific, who knows how strong I'll be when I actually breakthrough' he thought.

'But now I'm already very exhausted, pushing any further would be going past my limits, and that might cause my mind to disperse, I'll definitely be dead for sure'

All these thoughts ran through his mind but that didn't actually make him give up, no it only fueled his drive the more, when he thought about all he had gone through to get to this stage.

When he thought about the vows he had made, when he thought about his Exodus Order, and when he thought about his parents he'd never seen, his will to survive was fueled the more.

And this brought a qualitative change to his mental state as he suddenly found himself more energized, he didn't know where the strength came from but he was determined not to let it go to waste.

With even more vigor than before he started attacking the barrier madly causing more cracks to appear, but that wasn't enough...

'Not yet'

"Not yet"

"Not yet"

"I'm not done yet"

He kept in screaming as he attacked wildly until with a mighty roar....

"BREAK!!!!!!!!"

"CRACK!!!!!!!"

"BOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!"

The barrier gave a final crack and exploded with a huge bang on the ninth day.

The moment the barrier cracked, outside of Vin a huge whirlpool gathered around his body and a terrifying suction force was released immediately, coupled with the devouring power of his Hell Flames.

Huge amounts of essences were absorbed into his body at a terrifying pace, at the same time all the spiritual energy of the world within a hundred meters around the mountain was being drawn in, in huge waves.

It felt like the entire place was going to be sucked dry. This anomaly alarmed the entire outer court and almost everyone rushed to the source immediately.
