The tall, dark man sat with his eyes shut. Bitterness and resignation were evident in Noble Nuru abrupt movement as he jerked the knot of his tie loose.
Behind him, a tall man strode quickly into the dimly lit room. " You've been indoors again!" He exclaimed "What is running in your head "
"To look after myself, that is what a security always do" Noble said harshly, without opening his eyes. He then raked his hand through his dark hair in obvious frustration.
"You are angry" Sidhu said grimly.
Noble opened his eyes, squinting a little. Then scowled at his roommate as if his presence in their room offended him. "I was so certain, that you wouldn't come home tonight,"He gritted, as he stood up. Heading towards the windows, he leaned a shoulder against the frame. For a moment he stared at something outside, " She blame me for not preventing her from making a mistake "
"WHHHAAATT..." Sidhu screamed furiously "How were you supposed to recognise a girl ten years older than you who acts like she knows everything, was being cheated on by a man who is self proclaimed god!, were they not Mr and Mrs know -it -all, perfect, kept our tabs on other people's mistakes like tally clerks??" And as if on after thought he paused and asked Noble ,
"What could you have done if you'd have known?
"Nothing, now they are over" Noble replied with a shrug of broad, muscular shoulders on his six-foot-four -inch frame.
"You still are in love with her?" Sidhu asked in disbelief. A glint of humour touched Noble's mouth corners and arrogant brownish eyes. The switch was instant, softening the features of finely sculpted face that on normal days gave cold, ruthless determination and ancient greek gods nobility.
No I don't "
Sidhu stared blankly at the mam he had known since they were twenty two, five years ago. Turned and started towards his bed, which he had been occupying since then. His aristocratic greek face hardened with contentment was his last image of him. Mid step he turned, trying hard to hide his shock he asked him "Noble is there anything I can do?
"Yes"
"Name it"
"I'm hitting the beach, don't follow me"
Grimacing at such an unfair request cause he was planning to hit the beach too he growled. Dug in his pockets, swaying he nod, a muscle clenched on his jaw as he made an obvious effort to control his bitterness.
