For a moment, I felt ecstatic that she had run away from me. She knew I would expose her sins tonight. Geez, I really was like a top predator eyeing its prey.
'Why is this hall so unnecessarily so big?
And why do people keep moving around like salmon?! Can't they stay in their places for a moment so I can spot her again?
I grumbled endlessly as I kept walking. Now, I was in the center of the hall, under a magnificent and glittering chandelier. My eyes scanned the surroundings, searching for the brunette's head among the many heads that seemed to be hovering in front of my sight at the moment.
'It shouldn't be hard to find her again since she's using my tall body. But why can't I find her? Where the hell is she? Did she go outside?'
I was too focused on looking for her to notice my surroundings.
