Chapter 1 - The Plot

All I could hear at the moment was a loud ring in my left ear. I had just been slapped across the face by my step mother, this wasn't the first time and I doubt it was to be the last. My right hand immediately reaches instinctively for the spot I had just been hit to give it some form of soothing comfort as tear began to fill my eyes.

" You are insane! You did it again, didn't you? You never do anything correctly!" my Step-mother yelled. "You must pay for what you have ruined! You Moron!"

" I'm sorry mother" This was all I could mutter at the moment as my voice disappeared into thin air. She slaps me with the back of her hand while she wore a ring immediately I say this, my other hand moves to my face, both my hands on the two sides of my face. I couldn't hold it in any longer as my tears started to fall down my cheeks.

" Don't ever call me your mother again, You stupid Retched girl" my step mother yelled at me once more. She continued to shout as my mind replays all that had happened during my time out.

A few 5 Hours ago I was sent to the market to get 4 dozens of eggs. My step-mother had told me to return quickly as she needed some of the eggs for dinner soon. As I was given a few coins I ran out of the house to the local market at the other end of the town. Getting there I greeted the shop keeper but the old lady with completely white hair didn't respond.

Ever since my fathers death I had been treated as an outsider that was despised and hated by almost everyone in the town. I bought the eggs in 4 dozens, all the eggs were put inside one basket, paid and left. While walking home with the basket handle in the palm of my hands I noticed people gathering a particular place in the middle of the street, I stopped for a moment to see what had just happened

Then I saw one of my worst nightmares Casey, the daughter of the current BETA of the town a girl who made my life in this town a living hell. She was doing what she did best Bully people who couldn't stand up to her and fight because of her fathers position. I had no reason to stay there while Casey and her minions bullied someone else, I could only thank the gods that today it wasn't me.

I spoke too early, Her green eyes met my dark purple ones as a wicked smirk appeared on her face. I immediately start walking forward and fast regretting why I had waited to see what was going on in the first place. Casey called out my names from where she stood, I immediately stopped in my tracks. Fear stopping my legs from moving, the same fear I had felt for years.

Casey walked over to me with her minions forgetting about the girl they were terrorizing before hand. The girl must have been so glad that a fool as I would come to her rescue.

"I see you've lost all of the respect for me I put in you " Casey said as I looked at the ground, basket of eggs still in my hands. Not giving me time or permission to reply she continued. " What do you do when you see me? " she asked but I knew after all these years it wasn't a question left for me to answer. "Yes, that's right you kneel and bow like the good dog you are" from the sound of her voice I could tel she was enjoying every bit of what she was doing.

I immediately fell on my knees cause no matter what I did the outcome would still be the same, but some actions could make my situation and life worse than it already was. I bowed down my head and said a I'm sorry Casey to her. "What did you say to me?!!"Casey yelled at me. My eyes open wide, Oh heavens, I had gotten this mad girl angry.

" How many times did I tell you I didn't want to hear my name from your mouth you stupid rat?" she immediately grabs the basket from my hands and throws an egg at me. It breaks directly on my forehead which causes laughter to the people she was using me to entertain. Her friends take the other eggs and they throw it at me. I just stay on the ground and look at the ground. Even if I wanted to fight, I was never has strong as them and my wolf had never come out. I was powerless against them in every way I could think of.

After they had satisfied their lust for harassment they left me alone there. When I finally looked up it was already evening, time was far gone. I was dead, I was going for the second round of my life as a living hell. I got up and started sprinting to the house I lived in. This pain was too much for me to bear, it was too great.

Despite my sprinting, I still arrived there late as it was far from the market and I couldn't take the short cuts I took while going, mainly because of the hours of the day.

"Where have the eggs gone, you witch?" Brianna, my stepmother, inquired as she extended her hands.

"They...They...the eggs..." I mumbled.

"What exactly are you saying? "Are you deaf?"

I couldn't say anything. It seemed like though I had a lump in my throat. "I accidentally broke them," I finally admitted, frightened.

"How did you break the eggs I sent you?" My stepmother asked me as she dragged me inside.

Which brings us back to the present time.

My stepmother used to beat me indoors, never outside, for reasons only she knew.

My mother suddenly grabbed up a black leather belt from by the kitchen burner. It was more like she anticipated the blunder and was fully prepared for it.

I didn't know how to communicate to her how tired and hopeless I was. I didn't know how to tell her how disappointed I was with how she and everyone else treated me. Would she care if I told her?

As I stood in front of my stepmother, my heart was heavy.
