The second I read what he worked with, interest bloomed inside of me, it's not every day that I'll get to meet the reclusive CEO of the currently biggest Cybersecurity company in London. But that was not the only thing that stole my attention, it was the second I read that he worked in Edinburgh as well.

Alright, I confess that as a superstitious person myself, the fact that the numbers he could pick on the phone number and the address totaled two 2s, five 5s, six 6s, and seven 7s also caught my attention for bloody sure. I don't believe in coincidence, I can't have that luxury, so I think he must have done this deliberately. Maybe to satisfy a possible OCD?!

Or maybe the fact that all the numbers sum up to 121 could mean something to him. Maybe a date? 12 of January, 1st of December, the 1st day of February of 2001? I don't know, I can't help but overthink everything I got on him, which is bad, because it means I'm interested in him.

Well, damn it, it's hard not be. This men is an absolute sin in flesh.

He is the most handsome human being I've ever laid my eyes on, in fact, the handsomer I've ever even imagined to exist, which is a lot. He feels unreal, he smells so bloody good and I can tell his fragrance is a Prada one, a very, very addicting one, damn it, it didn't feel this addicting when I first inhaled it back when it was launched. He's all dressed in my brand.

And what the hell is that voice? I did not that sexy deep and raspy voice to come out of that pretty face, at all, it's like he has a goddamn sea monster from the depths of the ocean under his tanned skin. Though he may not look like with the sunglasses, that do make him look like a celebrity, a model, or a disguised hot superhero, without them… those lilac hunter eyes of his had a heart-stopping magic in them.

They weren't simply beautiful, or in a rare shade I never saw before in my entire life, they passed a… dangerous vibe, something I can't name but that sent chills down my spine, which is a lot, given how I'm usually the one who sends goosebumps down other people's spines. Which can only mean one thing: Eric Wolf is strong, stronger than most people I know, it may not be because of anything related to my field or to fighting, but this sculpted body of his isn't build overnight, and maybe he had a backstory.

I mean, everyone does, but an interesting one. Maybe he was in the military, he looks young, but I know in my bones that's he's older than me, considerably, and my intuition never lies. He works with Cybersecurity, he must have gotten into some crazy trouble doing that before, maybe he even got accidentally wrapped up in some dark shite, because this danger I felt emanating from him isn't made out a simple thing, at all.

Or, maybe he's from my field, maybe he's in MI6 and this big work is his official work, the same way architecture is mine. I may be really high up in the MI6 leather as a rank S in the Obsidian division, but above me there are still the rank SS and the rank SSS. Thea told me that The Beast and all his team of masked creeps were all in the hacking division before, he could be from that division.

Jesus be damned, for all I know, he could be The Beast.

Thea told me he was an insanely talented hacker and what work to a person like that would be better than Cybersecurity? In fact, Thea told me that the Beast was a mountain with his insane height, and this men in front of me is insanely tall, probably tallest human I've ever met. Besides, we all may expect the Beast to be hideous with the whole mask thing, but he could be absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous.

He is British for all I know, and ain't he after me?

Fuckity fucking fuck, he could know I am me, he could have gotten a hold on my information, if he really is that good, it may be taken as nearly impossible to crack Interpol security, but nearly doesn't mant it actually is that impossible. He could have come after me purposely, all this could have been predetermined by him, to fake a coincidental meeting with me, to use his good looks to lure me into a trap.

Hah, I hate to admit, but it is kind of working.

Or he could just be an acquaintance of the Beast, which is bad, but not as bad as him being the Beast. In the best case scenario, he's just a civil.

Alright, who am I lying to? This men is not just a civil at all. But I can't let my newborn paranoia over the Beast, who I hoped to never meet in my entire bloody life, ever, who is now apparently hunting for me.

I ain't lucky by any means, so I never trust best case scenarios. But as a professional overthinker, I have to walk around them as well, even if doing so is a loss of time for me. Now, I'm one to always go with the worst-case scenario, because at last I'll be disappointed and not surprised, and I hate surprises as much as I hate beaches.

In the worst-case scenario, he is the Beast, he did come deliberately here to cross paths with me, he is trying to lure me into a very seductive trap to get me to lower my walls around him, and he is after my parents' journals. In this scenario, he is a threat to me, he could kill me like a moth if I snap, and he could steal the journals from me. What would I do then?

Should I lure him in instead? Should I play along with this possibly lethal flirting? Should I try to make him want to work with me instead of just killing me and stealing the journals?
