"I'm part of MI6 since I was 17, I'm 27, and all I've done is wait because you asked me to, uncle Heath. I need to get to the bottom of his, and if it kills me, I'll be glad to die the same way my parents did. But I am not dying, they are. I'll kill everyone involved with whoever is behind their deaths. I just need you to have my back and help me clean up after I'm done with them."
"Selene,"
"You won't change my mind, uncle Heath. You were familiar with my mom, mami Adèle says I'm as stubborn as she was, as they both were." Grabbing the glass of Scotch, I turned it all in one go, setting down in the black marble island with a 'clack'. "The mission is mine. If you don't want me to be reckless and take care of it without your permission, than you give it to me tomorrow. I want all the files, every single thing you have."
"Ugh, you will give me an aneurysm, brat," he growled and sighed. "Fine, I'll meet up with up tomorrow. But be here exactly by 3 pm, you know how I hate when people get late, you've never disappointed on that, so don't start now. Did you move to Scotland?"
"I'll be there by 2:59 pm, Phoenix," I called him by his codename. "And yes, I moved to Scotland, did you finally read my message?"
He clicked his tongue, "Yep. Bring me a Scotch whisky."
"What will I gain from that?" I purred.
"You'll get me agreeable, brat. Get me new Loro Piana boots too."
"Well, you're lucky I own the brand then," I tilted my head.
"Precisely why I'm telling you that. Now I have to go. Get me a box of Ferrero Rocher too, I love that chocolate and you own Ferrero!"
I rolled my eyes, "Taking advantage much?"
"As if you weren't doing the same with our connection!"
True. "Aye, aye, what a new Givenchy handbag for your wife too?"
He giggled, "That will be amazing, especially because she loves them, and our 8th marriage anniversary is in two days. Get me a black one. She into black handbags and shoes in the moment."
I rolled my eyes, I dismay with him actually accepting it, "Fine, but you better give me what I want for sure, uncle Heath, or I'll get mad."
"We'll see about that, brat. Now I have to go, Harriet is texting." Then he hanged up. Harriet is his wife, she adorable. I've met with her more than six times now, she knew my parents as well, so it was good.
Picking my favorite Serpenti set of Bvlgari jewels, and my favorite Chanel perfume Allure Sensuelle. I began getting ready, putting a black Victoria's Secret pair of lace underwear on, and my Pink's fluffy black socks under the boots. As soon as I was fully ready getting dressed, I put on my carmine red strawberry-flavored lipstick, with some red eyeliner on, a lil bit of golden highlight, mascara, and finished by styling my long wavy black hair leaving only the top braided in two root braids and the rest loose, with a wavy falling at each side of my face.
Hiding my MI6 phone, I grabbed my iPhone in my bed, and full-heartedly ignoring all the messages and lost calls, I go past the seven layers of passwords, and went to Spotify, putting Bad Bitch by Alessandra, the song I've had in my head the entire day, to play.
Only then, I descended the stairs to the ground floor, but before I could head to the kitchen and grab a snack to eat, I found Cassie and Sera in the big leather black couch of my living room, talking with Doctor Carla and a big sexy men that was leaning quite close to Cassie, all while sipping from my favorite absinthe, and eating some of my Ferrero Rocher truffles.
Theirs eyes all came to me and I instantly paused the song, doing my best not to growl like a feral antisocial beast and kick all of them out of my home. "Didn't you care to warn me that they were already here, girls?" I glared at both of them, who were looking way too comfortable with them.
"We called, you didn't pick up, Lea," Sera pouted.
"Couldn't you just go up there?" I crossed my arms. "You house is the number 6, Ivory Seraphina, not number 7."
"And see you naked? It would be too much temptation!"
She's insane, "As if you hasn't seen me naked before."
"Precisely why I know it's tempting, I have low blood pressure."
Before I could snap at Sera, Cassie grabbed her writs and turned to me. "Lea, it's just that we saw them coming, and you weren't picking up, so we just came in instead of keeping them out there," she pointed out of the window, "it's raining. I went there but your door was locked and you were not listening."
"I'm sorry if we caused any annoyance, sweetheart," doctor Carla spoke softly, and she flinched when I turned my predatory gaze to hers.
Sigh, "Well, seems like I'm the one who lost count of time. It is my fault this time, Doctor Montinari," striding inside my living room with a load of confidence, I gracefully sat on the velvet maroon red chair in front of the couch they were all sat in, my eyes turned to the man whose monolid black eyes were glued on me since I came inside. "Your name?"
"Des," he said in a trance and swallowed. "Desmond."
"I'm Selene, Des-Desmond!"
I analyzed him from head to toe, not caring if I looks menacing or not, taking in his handsome appearance, with the dark brown almost black straight hair that falls sensually at the sides of his small pretty face, fair pale skin, pouty lips, a long thin straight nose, wide broad shoulders, clearly toned in muscles underneath his Armani dark green look, exactly Cassie's favorite color, and she's into east Asians. She's crushing him.
"How tall are you, Des-Desmond?"
"Just Des!" He licked his lips.
"What kind of number is that?" I scoffed and he blushed hard.
"I mean, you can call me Des, and it's just Desmond. Des is my nickname," doesn't he understand sarcasm? "I'm 1.92m tall, Taurine."
"I'm a Scorpio!" Cassie beamed and he finally turned his eyes to her. "We are a match," Jesus, she's so bloody straightforward. "I'm 1.72m."
"Scorpios are my favorite," he purred, flirting with her.
"What's your sign, Ella?" Sera asked Carla and I almost cringed, because how is she already calling her by her nickname? What did I lose?
"I'm a Scorpio too, from November 20th," she beamed, blushing.
"Amazing, I'm a Taurus from April 30th," Sera winked.
"Did you come here to talk about the townhouses rent, or to have a double date in my living room?" I blinked annoyed, crossing my arms over my chest, and all of them turned to me again. "Don't you dare to ask for my zodiac sign," I snapped, seeing the question in Carla's eyes.
"She's a Gemini, from June 7th," Sera said regardless and I glared at her. "What? We are sharing."
"I don't share," I said firmly. "Don't talk about me, you know I do not like it, Ivory Seraphina. Just because you are lucky to be my friend, does not mean others will be as lucky as you. To get to know me, they need to earn the right, and with all due respect, no one has."
"Because you're not open," Sera growled.
"And that's on my trust issues, it has nothing to do with you!" I said firmer than before, and she finally swallowed. "Now, now, Des-Desmond," I turned to him, who was repressing a smile, "the doctor told me briefly that you intend on living with her older brother and more two friends of yours in the 9th Doune."
"8th," Sera corrected. "They want the 8th now that's free."
"Sweetheart," I inhaled deeply, turning my eyes to Sera, "you may be the acting CEO of our company, but I'm the one who handles my own properties, yeah?" She swallowed. "Don't butt in, this is between me and them, not you. If I do decide on letting them live here, and they want our company to take care of any decoration, then you can have a saying." I turned my eyes to Desmond again. "So?"
