Chapter 4 - Initiation

---------------Word Count: 1092------------

**POV - Eutenoyar**

**LOCATION - ROOM IN LUNGBARROW HOUSE**

It's been 8 years since I reincarnated as a Time Lord, and today is the Time Lord Child initiation.

During these 8 years, I spent some days studying Ancient High Gallifreyan and Modern Gallifreyan, something I already knew, as I have memories of someone from Gallifrey's ancient civilization. The language hasn't changed much in the 10 million years I've been away.

Gilia and Castellan Rosger were impressed because it's not common for a Time Lord to know how to speak and translate High Gallifreyan. It was then that they considered me a prodigy.

It was then that I regretted it, for they began to teach me things beyond my age as a Time Lord.

Speaking of Gilia and Castellan Rosger, Gilia has been "raising" me very well since we are preparing for some war that the paranoid Rassilon fears.

She and Rosger have never let me go hungry and have always given me lessons on various subjects that must be studied at the Time Lord Academy.

Gilia was chosen as the teacher for the Time Lords woven in the House of Lungbarrow. She hadn't had work for 200 years, so she enjoyed her "vacation." But when she was informed that a new Time Lord would be woven, she returned to teach me. Normally, this wouldn't happen in houses like Lungbarrow, and Time Lord children would be adopted by a couple. However, as they have been preparing for war for 300 years, they decided 200 years ago to choose a teacher for the new Time Lords before sending them to their families. But I decided to stay with Gilia and study with her.

I met several other cousins from the Lungbarrow House, as only 47 cousins are allowed to be woven into the Loom by the Lungbarrow family.

When I found out that Rosger is the current Castellan, I understood why everyone treated him with immense respect.

Castellan is what they call the leader of the High Council Guard of Gallifrey, who consequently is the commander of the entire Gallifreyan army.

Back to the Time Lord Child initiation, today someone will come to take me to the Prydonian Chapter, the academy where members of the Lungbarrow House are supposed to study.

The Prydonian Chapter is the most powerful of the Chapters, being the House of the current President of the High Council, Rassilon.

While lost in thought, someone knocks on my bedroom door and calls: "■■■■■■■■, are you there? The Castellan Chapter has come to take you to the initiation."

Upon hearing this, I finish getting ready and step out the door. "Hello, Gilia. I'm ready. How do I look?"

She looks me up and down and says: "Wonderful! Be careful when looking at the Untempered Schism. I was one of those who ran away, haha! Good times at the academy."

Eutenoyar responds: "Okay, Gilia, thanks for the warning."

Gilia claps her hands and says: "Okay, let's go! You'll make it to the initiation."

Gilia and I walk to the entrance of Lungbarrow House, where I see a man in his 30s (for a Time Lord). When he lays eyes on me, he says: "Hello, I'm Nate. You must be ■■■■■■■■. I've come to take you to the initiation."

I bow and reply: "Hello, Nate. Yes, that's me. Let's go." Then I turn around, look at Gilia, and kiss her on the cheek. "See you later, Gilia."

Gilia smiles and says: "Safe travels and good luck with your initiation."

I wave and head towards Nate's space bus, which serves as transportation to take the children to the Academy. Upon arrival, I see several Time Lord children from the houses that participate in the Prydonian Chapter Academy, some talking to each other.

I board the bus, and Nate sits next to the driver, taking us to the Academy.

On this journey, I keep thinking about what my TARDIS will be like type 40, like the Doctor's; type 57, which can travel more smoothly through time and space; or type 70, which can be voice-controlled and communicate with the crew.

I would prefer the type 70, as no one would have permission to control it except me, so there would be no risk of it being stolen. Besides, I could communicate with it, and it would be more powerful than the Doctor's because it can pause materialization and breakthrough temporal distortion grids.

**------------------SCENE BREAK--------------**

**POV - ONE OF THE ACADEMY'S TEACHERS**

**LOCATION - ENTRANCE TO THE UNTEMPERED SCHISM**

I was tasked with assisting in this initiation. 'I don't understand why, when I could be doing my research.'

I stopped complaining when the bus got close to the location. The Untempered Schism is far from the cities of Gallifrey to avoid accidents, right at the foot of one of Gallifrey's beautiful mountains.

When the bus stops, several children get off, and I must escort them one by one to the Untempered Schism.

"Come on, children, we need to enter and start your initiation."

They all nod, some with fear, others with determination. Only one caught my attention; they didn't react with fear or determination; it seemed like they didn't even care about what was going to happen. "Interesting."

We walk until we reach the foot of the mountain and open a large gate that blocks a gigantic room that protects the Untempered Schism.

Then I see the guards approaching. I show my code, indicating that I'm here for the initiation.

One of them turns to another and nods, then turns back to me and says: "Okay, you may pass."

When the children and I enter, I see several other teachers waiting along with Castellan Rosger. They nod and indicate for me to proceed.

I see a 1-meter round portal with a vortex spinning inside, as if galaxies were colliding.

We arrive at least 15 meters away from the portal, and I should start calling the children one by one for initiation.

I take a hologram with the names of all the new students and start calling them.

"Graiger, let's go." I call a student named Graiger, and as we approach the portal, I tell him to look at the Untempered Schism. He looks completely determined. "So, he'll be a warrior, huh?" I sign the hologram and start calling the others.

15 students later, 9 fled, and 6 were determined when looking at the Untempered Schism.

"■■■■■■■■, your turn." So this was the boy who didn't seem to care. Let's see how he does; I have high hopes that he will give a different result.
