Dr. Otto looked at me, waiting for a response.
He was wearing a white lab coat with what looked like robotic claws extending from his back.
The claws moved erratically, as if their movements were linked to his thoughts.
A few seconds passed without noticing, I was too focused on observing the robotic claws to respond even respond him.
Seeing that I hadn't answered, he shouted again now with anger, throwing a piece of metal at me with one of the claws.
"Would you believe me if I said I'm the new security guard?" I easily dodged the metal by taking a small step to the right as I spoke.
He made a face like he was looking at an idiot.
"Look at you—not even you would believe that," he scoffed while pointing at my clothes.
"Not only that, you were relieved when the guard passed by my lab's door!" he shouted, now using his claws to grab and throw a chair at me.
"You've got a point, but that doesn't mean you should be throwing things at people you've just met," I said, evading the chair by stepping to the left.
"I'm just visiting a friend, but now I see he isn't here, so I'll be on my way."
"Visiting a friend my ass! Your backpack is packed, and you're holding something in your hands. You probably stole it from another lab, and mine was probably the next in line!" He shout with veins popping from his forehead.
"I'll keep you here until the guards arrive!" he yelled as he attacked with his robotic arms.
Even though those arms were fast, they lacked agility, so it wasn't too hard to dodge.
"I see I can't convince you, so it's time for Plan B," I said, pulling out the stun device I had made.
This device was similar to a taser.
Normal tasers are designed to temporarily incapacitate someone by discharging around 50,000 volts with low current, causing temporary paralysis or unconsciousness without severe injury.
The difference between a normal taser and mine is that mine is fully throwable. It also discharges 70,000 volts and uses a slightly stronger current than a standard taser.
I made it that way to be sure it would knock someone out, I'm just not sure if it can cause any severe injuries, but that it's a risk I'm willing to take.
Dodging Dr. Otto's attacks, I threw my upgraded taser at him.
He tried to use his robotic arms to block it, but it was no use—the taser latched onto one of the claws.
"Goodnight, Dr. Otto. It was nice meeting you!" I said, with a smile spreading across my face.
"What the hell are you tal—" Before he could even finish his sentence, the upgraded taser that I made discharged the 70,000 volts stored inside it.
Since he was wearing the robotic claws, his body immediately absorbed the electrical shock, and he then collapsed onto his back, unconscious.
Seeing him fall unconscious I started to look through the lab while trying to find where he hould put is research papers.
