I watched my father standing alone, just outside the large, weathered tent. His head was bowed, shoulders set in a way that made him look weighed down by invisible burdens. The wind stirred around him, but he remained unmoved, like a stone amidst the current. He seemed lost in thought, caught in some silent conversation with the earth beneath him, utterly still and distant, disconnected from the world around him.
Then, as if reaching a decision, he lifted his head and walked into the tent without a word.
