[A/N- I remember Naruto failed a couple time I think two or three times in the ninja academy I'll be going along with that but it doesn't really matter since it's an AU]
Standing outside the class, Daniel leaned against the wall, his hands crossed behind his back. He felt no remorse for what he had said, nor was he angry about being chased out of class. He was pretty much chill about it, but he couldn't help but wonder what the young Uchiha felt. Not only did Sasuke witness his family's demise, but he was also subjected to Itachi's genjutsu. All in all, the boy went through a lot.
"Saving the Uchiha was never my job anyway," he thought to himself, an emotionless expression crossing his face. He really didn't care about the Uchiha clan. "Lately, I've been focused on my intelligence, more so applying what I know from my prior world about science and stuff," he changed the topic in his mind, recalling his time in the void. "Damn manager, only giving me educational content for my education. I should've messed with him more," he clicked his tongue as he thought of something unpleasant.
"Achoo! I'm suddenly recalling things I'd rather forget," the man in the suit sneezed as he guided a person with the roulette wheel.
Class ended, and Iruka walked out, calling Daniel to the teacher's lounge. "Now, what would encourage you to say such a thing about your fellow student?" Iruka asked, sitting on his chair.
"It's not like I'm wrong, though," Daniel thought, wanting to respond but lacking the energy to entertain the topic further. "I apologize for any offense I may have incurred. I simply wasn't pleased with how some of us, though we were in similar if not worse situations, received very different treatments," he responded, bowing his head—a rare sight for Iruka to see, as Daniel usually sounded more like a mature person who didn't yield easily in situations like this.
"Haaa," Iruka sighed, thinking of Naruto. He felt sympathy for him and didn't like how Naruto was treated either, but there was only so much he thought a person like himself could do. "Listen, Daniel. I know orphans like you don't have it easy, but taking your frustration out on others won't make things better. I'll let you off this time, but make sure to mind your words next time," Iruka dismissed Daniel.
As Daniel walked out, as cheerful as ever, Iruka pondered how most orphans had to struggle simply to survive. Not only Naruto, but orphans in general, especially those from ninja villages, were always the perfect candidates for infiltration missions and the like. Since they were easy to dispose of and more or less irrelevant members of society, they were the most abused, used as disposable assets. Truly a sad thing for a child, Iruka thought as he sat in the teacher's lounge.
After school ended, Daniel walked back to the orphanage, his mind buzzing with thoughts of how to launder the money he had acquired. He also wanted his own place to live. As he walked, he pondered a few things. "Maybe I should manipulate someone into giving up their property using genjutsu," he thought, considering the four Sharingan at his disposal. It wasn't like he would use them that often; he just wanted to have his own collection, like collector's items. And maybe it would be cool to have his own pocket dimensions to store things.
"Right, instead of training, I should focus more on the Sharingan and the other techniques those guys might know," he concluded as he walked. Although he wouldn't learn much from the young Uchiha siblings, he had taken the eyes of their parents. He only wanted to cultivate the Sharingan, not fully absorb them. He started to experiment with his powers, aiming to manipulate the siblings' emotions artificially to awaken their Mangekyō Sharingan (MS) and control the factors that determined their abilities.
It was already known that the emotions and desires during the awakening of the MS determined their abilities. If he could replicate something for space-time manipulation, he could acquire his own unique Kamui or a variation of it. Hence, he needed to experiment before achieving his goals. With two extra Sharingan, he could absorb them and create as many clones as he wanted, each with the Sharingan, and use them as his experiments.
He realized that keeping the kids partially absorbed no longer served a purpose, but he let them be since he could use their Izanagi to test out whether his regeneration would heal such effects.
[A/N- Damn there's still six more years. I'mma skip a few things and start the next chapter when they're 12 as the og story began]
**Chapter 9: A New Beginning**
Walking home, Daniel remembered something important: he needed to teach Naruto early on so he would be stronger than in the original series. "Speaking of which," Daniel muttered as he strolled through the market. There was kid Naruto, sneaking some dirty magazines from a store. "Guess that's how he got really good at that jutsu early on," Daniel muttered, looking at the boy. You'd think he was parented by Jiraiya.
"Hey," Daniel called, startling the boy. "I've been looking for you. Come on," he continued, signaling Naruto to follow him.
"What's your deal? I was busy with something important, you know," Naruto ranted as Daniel brought them to a forested area.
"This will do," Daniel declared.
"Why'd you bring me here anyway?" Naruto complained.
"What else?" Daniel responded, grabbing the boy's attention as if he had said something stupid. "Of course, we're here to fix your problem of poor educational experience," Daniel replied deadpan.
"My what?" Naruto responded, not following what Daniel meant.
"Listen, Naruto. You're kind of failing right now, and as someone who's among the smart kids in class, I've taken it upon myself to teach you so you don't fail again," Daniel responded with a hint of pride in his grade. He continued to reteach Naruto the basics while also teaching him to enhance his body more with chakra since he had more to use. Even when he did ninjutsu in the first episode, he leaked chakra like crazy. No wonder he couldn't pass; he just needed someone to teach him chakra control. So Daniel focused more on getting Naruto to have a stronger foundation in his skills.
**Chapter 10: The Training Begins**
Daniel and Naruto stood in the forested area, the sunlight filtering through the leaves, "Alright, Naruto, the first thing we need to work on is your chakra control," Daniel began, his tone serious. "You have a lot of chakra, but you waste most of it because you can't control it properly."
Naruto looked at Daniel, his eyes wide with curiosity and determination. "Then how do I control it better?" he asked, even though he wanted to retaliat he knew Daniel was genuine about helping him he was always there for Naruto.
"We'll start with something simple," Daniel said, pulling out a leaf from a nearby tree. "This is called the Leaf Concentration Practice. You need to focus your chakra to keep this leaf stuck to your palm."
Naruto took the leaf, his face scrunched up in concentration as he placed it in his palm. Daniel watched him, offering tips and corrections as Naruto struggled to keep the leaf in place. After several attempts, Naruto finally managed to keep the leaf stuck for a few seconds.
As the days passed, Daniel continued to teach Naruto various exercises to improve his chakra control and some taijistu. They practiced walking on trees and water, techniques that required precise chakra manipulation and minimising his Chakra leakage as much as possible. Naruto's progress was slow but steady, and Daniel could see the improvement in his friend's abilities.
One evening, after a particularly grueling training session, Naruto collapsed on the ground, panting heavily. "This is so hard," he groaned, wiping the sweat from his forehead.
Don't sweat the small stuff," Daniel said, sitting down next to him. "Remember, Naruto, the stronger your foundation, the stronger you'll be in the future." He added as an inward grin filled Daniel's face as he thought of gap Naruto covered and may even create with Sasuke.
Naruto looked up at the sky, the stars beginning to twinkle. "Thanks, Daniel. I really appreciate you helping me," he said, his voice sincere.
Daniel nodded, feeling a sense of satisfaction. "No problem, Naruto. We're friends, right? We look out for each other."
As the weeks turned into months, Naruto's skills continued to improve. Daniel taught him not only chakra control but also various combat techniques of course nothing that would make Daniel stand out just the basics. Naruto's confidence grew, and he began to excel in areas where he had previously struggled.
