Chapter 12 - Chapter 10 The Base and Wanda.

14 Days Later,

I've spent the last fourteen days working on a device to help locate metahumans. Meanwhile, I asked Athena to begin training Peter under the guise of helping him manage his heightened strength and explore his other abilities. The training area is set up near the mansion, and Peter has been making impressive progress. Unlike in the movie, he didn't forget to bring Aunt May home, which earned him extra points and kept him in the good graces of his family.

My idea of developing 5 new base has started in various parts of world. It has not started yet but thanks to transformers universe when I get the ground bridge technology developing base won't be a huge problem and with synthetic energon formula. I won't worry about the resources. I wonder how things are developing on that Earth.

I turned my attention to new people Wanda and Pietro, they've settled into the base, though it's been a bit awkward for them. Most of the other mutants at the base have noticeable physical differences, which makes the twins stand out a bit. I haven't met them personally yet, only received reports.

The latest report was particularly interesting Wanda's mutation turned out to be a false positive. She isn't a mutant, though her magical abilities awakened at the same time as Pietro's powers. It wasn't a coincidence but a result of her subconscious tapping into her latent abilities. I've asked Athena to hide this report for now.

Today, I plan to talk to Wanda about her powers. I'll also have to address her intense desire to kill Stark, whom she believe is responsible for the missile that landed in her home. It turns out that her hex magic was what stopped the missile from exploding. Hopefully, she can control her emotions moving forward.

Pietro speed test is done and I personally assigned Rock to monitor his training there is no way a speedster is dying because of gun fire and Pietro is really pushed to his limit. I sometimes pity him because Rock is really a merciless trainer I think the named Piccolo might have better. Anyway it is time to meet Wanda and Pietro. I didn't wanted meet them before because I wanted them to settle down in the new environment.

Wanda's POV

I was born in 1989, in Sokovia. My twin brother Pietro and I grew up in a small apartment with our parents, Oleg and Iryna. Life wasn't easy during the war, but we found moments of joy. My father sold American sitcom DVDs, hoping that practicing English would help us emigrate to the U.S. We spent hours watching those shows, dreaming of a life far from the chaos around us.

Then, everything changed. One day, a missile struck our apartment. My parents died instantly. Pietro and I were trapped in the rubble, terrified and helpless. We lay there for two days, waiting to be rescued, while another missile this time from Stark Industries flew in. It didn't explode, though. We didn't know why at the time, but somehow, I made it stop. I had unknowingly cast a probability hex that turned the missile into a dud.

We spent two days staring at the Stark Industries logo, terrified that at any moment, the missile could detonate and end our lives. That fear turned into hatred. Stark's weapons killed our parents. To us, he wasn't just a distant figure he was responsible. He profited from war and death, and we were his victims.

That trauma never left us. It shaped who we became. And even now, with all that's happened, that name Stark still fuels something deep inside me.

Marcus's POV

'I wonder how she'll react to learning she's a witch—and being separated from Pietro. That's bound to be hard. But if I don't convince her, I can't move forward with Kamar-Taj. Then there's the other issue... Is the Ancient One the one I know, or someone different? That uncertainty could cause me a lot of problems. I really hope it's the one I know. Well, future me will deal with that.'

I approached Wanda, who was sitting on a park bench, lost in thought. The base had grown into a small, self-sufficient village, hidden from the world thanks to advanced shielding technology. with Parks, schools, farms, etc.

Marcus: "Good morning, Wanda."

She looked up, her gaze steady but a bit curious.

Wanda: "Good morning, Mr. Allen."

Marcus: "No need for formalities just call me Marcus If not I will call Miss Maximoff and imagine been called like that by a older person."

Wanda: "Okay I will call Marcus please don't call me Miss Maximoff."

Marcus: "I wanted to speak important with you. Do you mind?"

Her brows furrowed slightly, but she gave a small nod.

Wanda: "What do you want to talk about?"

I took a breath. This wasn't going to be easy.

Marcus: "It's about your powers. They aren't a result of mutation... they're magic."

Wanda stared at me for a moment, then scoffed, shaking her head.

Wanda: "Magic? You've got to be joking."

Marcus: "I get that it sounds unbelievable, but I'm not joking. Your abilities come from something far deeper than mutation. It's magic, and not just any magic something special. That's why I'm suggesting you train. Somewhere far from here, but only temporarily."

She frowned, confusion and disbelief written all over her face.

Wanda: "Train? What, you think I can't control my powers?"

Marcus: "Right now, yes. In long term, I don't know for sure. Your powers are unpredictable, and if you don't learn to control them, they could spiral out of control."

She remained quiet, processing the weight of my words.

Marcus: "I want you to think about it. You don't have to decide right now. I'll be here at anytime. If you agree, we'll head to a place called Kamar Taj . If not, you'll continue your training here. Just... don't tell anyone about this. Only your brother if you feel the need to."

Wanda gave a slow nod, her expression guarded, and stood up to leave. I watched her go, feeling the weight of the situation settle on me. Whether she agreed to go or not, her journey was only beginning. If she said yes, I'd take her to Kamar-Taj. If she refused, we'd train her here and hope for the best.
