Marcus's POV
Marcus: "Optimus Prime, I have came to bargain."
Optimus: "Who are you?"
I couldn't help but smirk as I saw the Autobots tense up, ready to blast me out of existence.
Marcus: "How about this a human. Whoa, no need to point those blasters at me, just joking. The name's Marcus Allen. I found your friend, patched him up a bit, and brought him here. Now, can we get to 'The bargaining'."
Bulkhead (grumbling): "Why do we need to bargain? Cliff is right here. We could just take him."
Marcus: "Oh, absolutely. Go ahead. You're free to take him." I gestured theatrically. "Come on, what are you waiting for? Take him."
The Autobots exchanged confused glances, unsure whether I was bluffing. Bumblebee buzzed something in his unique, almost indecipherable tone, and I had to wonder how on earth anyone even Ralph understood that.
Arcee (turning to Optimus): "Optimus, what do we do?"
Optimus remained stoic, but I could see him calculating. Finally, he turned to me.
Optimus: "What is it you want to bargain for, Marcus Allen?"
Marcus: "Please, just Marcus. And here's the deal: I want your Space Bridge technology. In return, you can take your friend with you, no strings attached. Plus, I'll give you the location of a Data Cylinder from Cybertron. A piece of your history. You take Cliffjumper now, and we'll finalize the deal tomorrow, 10:00 AM sharp. So, Optimus, do we have an agreement?"
Optimus paused, clearly weighing the options. He wasn't just thinking about the immediate deal I knew he'd already realized I had located their base. That meant it needed to be relocated, which was a hassle for them. Finally, he gave his answer.
Optimus: "We agree to your deal, Marcus."
Marcus: "Excellent choice, Orion Pax. Definitely better than some of the ones you made back on Cybertron." I saw the flicker of surprise at my use of his former name. "I'll take my leave now. We'll meet again tomorrow. Oh, and a heads-up Megatronus is going to be back soon."
I stepped onto my glider, rising into the air. As I flew off, I knew the Autobots would be left confused. How did I know about things like Orion Pax or Megatronus? The answers would gnaw at them, and I liked keeping them off-balance.
As I soared away, I couldn't help but think about Optimus and Megatron's endless battles. Wasted energy, really. The space bridge they destroyed in their conflict could've been useful, but no, Megatron had to escalate things. Not that I blamed him entirely Cybertron's social divide had pushed the lower classes into desperation. The war didn't have to reach this scale, but here we are, with their homeworld in ruins.
Still, that destruction might have been a blessing in disguise. If they hadn't come to Earth, Unicron might have awakened and wiped out not just this planet, but Cybertron as well. For Earth's survival, we need both Autobots and Decepticons. More importantly, we need Optimus and Megatron to keep their forces in balance.
But let's face it, I've already shaken things up. The butterfly effects are in full swing, and the original plot is irrelevant now. I have the locations of every relic, and the key to rebuilding Cybertron is within reach. What I need most is Cyber Matter, and to create that, I'll need the Synthetic Energon formula, hidden within the Data Cylinder.
The problem is, only a Cybertronian can access the Cylinder, and Megatron will never share the formula, even if I offered him everything. The Autobots? Well, they may not give it willingly either, but stealing it from them will be far easier than trying to pry it out of Megatron's hands.
Marcus's POV – The Next Day at the Autobots' Base
Arriving at the Autobots' base wasn't exactly difficult. With satellite surveillance and video footage, tracking them down was just a matter of time. I approached on my glider, which I had built on a whim after hacking into Oscorp and collecting some of their designs. It reminded me taking over Oscorp was going to be easier than I initially thought. I after the downfall I already owned more than 30% of the company, thanks to some "creative" methods involving fake accounts and the bank I secretly purchased. Once I've convinced the right people, with Stark's help, acquiring the rest won't be an issue.
Stane was eager for the takeover too, given that Oscorp was Stark Industries' competitor in the weapons industry. My people and Stane's had already met, and the plan was to take Oscorp together. But that was for later. Right now, I had a deal to close.
I landed at the base, waiting for a response. After a few minutes of silence, the massive gates slowly opened. As I stepped through, I couldn't help but admire the Autobots' base it was functional, with a utilitarian design, but still impressive in its scale.
Marcus: "Good morning, Autobots. I've come to complete our deal."
The base was eerily quiet for a moment. No one responded. Then, finally, a few of them appeared. I glanced at Cliffjumper fully repaired and standing strong.
Marcus (smiling): "Nice to see you in one piece, Mr. Cliffjumper. Looks like you're back in action. But let's get to business. Our deal won't be finalized until I receive the Space Bridge technology. In exchange, here's the data on the Cybertronian Data Cylinder."
I pulled out a small pen drive and held it up.
Marcus: "I hope you know how to use it, or would you prefer a Cybertronian hard drive?"
Ratchet stepped forward, suspicion written all over his face.
Ratchet: "Optimus, can we really trust this human? he indeed helped Cliffjumper, but the location he's offering could be a trap."
Bulkhead: "I agree. Let's just throw him out of here."
I raised an eyebrow, slightly amused at their distrust but not surprised.
Marcus: "That's rather rude, Bulkhead. But we both know Orion Pax isn't like that, are you, Optimus?" I glanced at Optimus, waiting for his reaction. "I helped you, and now it's time for you to honor our Deal. Or would you rather lower yourselves to Decepticons' standards?"
Optimus remained silent but thoughtful, considering the situation. I continued.
Marcus: "Here's the location of the Data Cylinder. If you don't trust me, the knowledge inside could end up in Decepticon hands, and we both know how that would end. So the choice is all yours."
The tension in the air was palpable. Ratchet, Arcee, Cliffjumper, bumblebee and Bulkhead still seemed uneasy, but the mention of Decepticons accessing critical Cybertronian data hit the right nerve. They knew that if I was telling the truth, it could lead to serious consequences.
Optimus finally stepped forward, his calm but commanding presence diffusing some of the tension.
Optimus: "The situation is dire but we can't let Cybertronian Data Cylinder fall into the hands of Decepticons So will go to the location Ratchet keep a watch on our friend and Marcus know this we will not tolerate deception. The Space Bridge technology will be shared, but if this is a trap, you will regret your actions."
I nodded, unfazed by his warning.
Marcus: "Understood, Optimus."
