Chapter four -Vanessa Norman
"We hope you both had a blissful night together as a couple?" Michelle asked smiling at her husband and then at William and Catherine.
Catherine immediately began to choke on her food, and then she grabbed a glass of orange juice on the table and sipped off it.
"Mom..." William wanted to say something angry but decided not to. "Of course we did," He said, flashing Catherine a smile and expecting her to play along.
Catherine played along while also giving the couple a big smile. They might be thinking they consummated their marriage already. But did the couple know that William didn't even dare to touch her and they slept with a wide duvet distancing them?
She scoffed inwardly. They didn't.
"So tell me, Cathy dear, how was last night?" Michelle probed.
Catherine paused on her food.
"Mom..." William's tone changed.
"Alright, I won't make it any more uncomfortable for you both." She said as she dug through her food.
William turned away, too. "William, I did tell you and your mother I wanted to discuss something with both of you. First of all, it's a work-free week for you both. We want you guys to spend more time together at home."
William and Catherine quickly glared at each other with the side of their eyes and then turned away from each other before William tried to change the topic, "Father, what was it you wanted to tell us today?"
"Yes, Son, your Mother and I," he gripped Michelle's hand on the breakfast table and then continued, "Have an already booked vacation in the Bahamas. Although it's very short, we'll be back in no time and we're leaving in two days."
"I also wanted to address you at your CEO celebration party. I hope you didn't forget?"
"Of course not father, how can I?" William responded with pride. "Good. Now that we are done with the wedding, we'll start preparing for it." William smiled at his Father's words.
"You and Catherine will be there together as a couple that you are that day." On hearing this, William's smile instantly turned to a slight frown, "Catherine?" William repeated. Catherine turned to William and noticed he didn't want her to attend the party with him.
"Yes William, Catherine will be there." Bentley smiled innocently.
William's mood changed to a sour one, even though he hid it. His hand rubbing against his mustache, he stopped eating for that time and then excused himself from the table.
"Willy, won't you wait and see me and your father off?" Michelle asked.
"Yeah, sure, Mom, I will." He smiled at her and walked away.
Catherine couldn't care less that William didn't want her at his party. She didn't even want to attend so, she felt he shouldn't be bothered about that. She happily enjoyed her breakfast with Mr and Mrs Bentley.
Two days later, Mr and Mrs Bentley left for the airport as planned.
Catherine sat in the living room with a book in her hand and noticed William walk past her, dressed like he was heading out, 'I thought it was a work-free week?' she thought to herself.
She quickly rushed over to the window to sneak a peak at him as he walked out of the mansion into one of the cars.

*Ding Dong*
The face behind the door was Vanessa Norman, William's girlfriend. When she noticed he was the one at the door, she immediately shut the door. However, his wedge-like foot allowed him to hold it open. She walked right back to her kitchen and acted like William didn't just walk in. "Babe!" He called out, but she still ignored him.
"Vanessa, what's up?" But she still kept mute. He pulled her closer by her arm and asked again, "Babe, what's the matter?"
"Let go of me, William!" She successfully pulled herself out of his grip.
"Babe, not even a hug?"
"You have got to be kidding me!"
"What?" He asked with all curiosity.
"So you went on to get married to someone else without telling me anything about it, William, and you're here acting like that's not what you did."
"C'mon babe, is that what this is all about?"
"Yes, William! Yes exactly!"
"Relax babe--"
"Why didn't you tell me anything about it, William?!" She asked angrily.
"Babe I've been busy. In my defense, I didn't even know I was getting married! It wasn't until a few days before the wedding that I was informed. Babe, I had never planned to do that to you."
"No wonder you haven't been picking up my calls or responding to my texts, William!" She added. "Why did you do that to me, William?! Who are my to you then?!" Her voice broke as she spoke and tears began to well up in her eyes.
"Babe calm down," William tried to comfort her. He guided her to the living room while holding her arm and sat next to her. Then he started, "Babe, you have nothing to worry about; please don't cry. Let me explain. Her Father required financial support. His company was about to go bankrupt, so my father approached him without my knowledge and made a deal with him: he would help him get his company back on track if his daughter became my wife."
"Listen to me, Babe; I never wanted any of this. Do you understand me?" Vanessa stopped weeping for a minute to process everything William just said. "In fact, who's this she?" She asked curiously.
"Catherine. Catherine Mckellen."
"So you're doing this because her father was on the verge of getting poor?"
"Well yes, Vanessa." He concurred. "But I made the marriage fake with her we are not to be husband and wife intimately. We will just fake it outside."
On hearing this, Vanessa narrowed her eyes at William, "Oh really?"
"Yes? Do you understand what went on?"
She nodded and was now smiling. "I've missed you, miss." He gently planted a kiss on her neck, sending shivers down her spine. His deep voice continued, "Now please let me have you," he requested.
Vanessa chuckled and let William have his way around her body. While he planted kisses all over her body. Yes, she enjoyed every bit of it, but she still couldn't take her mind off everything William said.
Vanessa Norman was a Fashion model. She was also very rich but a spoilt brat. She was cunning, manipulative, and a greedy gold digger. She wasn't going to let some random stranger take her man away from her.
When William was done, they both took a little nap. He laid on her bosom and ran her fingers gently through his hair. When she noticed he was waking up, she started, "Babe?" In a childish tone.
"Hey babe," he responded sounding a bit rusty. He kissed her on the lip and began to put his clothes on. She watched him, trying to figure out the right time to say what she had in mind.
"Babe,"
"Yes ?"
"I don't want you to be with that Catherine woman!"
"Babe, I thought we talked about this before?" He furrowed his brows.
"Yes, I know but I'm not comfortable with both of you being together in the same house." She sounded very worried.
"Babe, I assure you, worry less." He pecked her on her cheek while buttoning his shirt. She walked him to the door and watched him drive off.
Her blood boiled with rage and anger and jealousy, "I'm not going to let anybody take my man away from me!" With clenched teeth, she promised. She will regret ever meeting him, her fists clenched. She narrowed her eyes and declared, "I'm going to deal with her!"
