He seemed to be pretty winded after using it for a minute straight, but the results were good. The dummy was completely eviscerated with small circular holes riddling its whole body.
"Haaa..Haa... yeah those were the cannons!"
"May I inspect them?"

Touching the sleek surface of the brown and black canon, it had a very cool feeling with the tip being incredibly hot. Probably from the cannon fire from earlier, it had 2 columns protruding towards the ground along with what seemed to be a pick at the tip of this "cannon"
Alright so he can do rapid cannon fire...that's similar to some Archer magic. A mix of archer and explosion magic....I take notes in my notepad for the WMD (World Magic Database). It's a database that keeps track of magics and cores that come through the world and get tested. We then send this info to the Empire's higher ups and Empire's academy so they can prepare for possible new students and what they can do to accommodate them, and keep track of Magics that can not only help with crimes but also help others develop their magic.

It WILL destroy it and unless if your willing to take the chance to rank up and repair it, do NOT circulate mana. I cannot stress this enough, many have been crippled unable to use their magic ever again."

Well that was fun. Got to figure out my abilities whilst not divulging too much information. Then again, I still don't know much about the depths of my Magic like how would summoning a nuke go? Am I unaffected by the damage or would I also get burnt to ashes along with everything else? I don't even want to think about trying to summon a tank, I would have no idea how to explain what it is.
I think my parents were much more excited than me though, they were hugging eachother close and kept complimenting me.
"We won't have to run that dirty farm anymore!!! I can already imagine it, we fan ourselves with our golden leaves sitting on a beach!"

This is the first time I'm hearing about any of this. i didn't even know they had a high school in this world, none the less a full on college. Wait what careers would they even have in this backwards age??

..I need to start paying attention more. I've just been chilling and loafing around waiting for my magic, I kinda forgot that I'm in a whole new environment and I only know 2 people. Well I guess 4 cause that god mentioned those 2 other dudes. Marco something and.....

I feel like my memory is getting worse and worse by the day, I'm starting to forget my original identity. Well not identity, but the experiences I had. Shit this is bad, maybe I'm suppressing this all deep down cause In all honesty, I'm still hoping this is all a dream and I'm gonna wake up and see my ACTUAL life.
As we walked into our home, my parents began to tell me that they were going to enroll me into formal school
"It's about time you use that genius of yours, you have an actual future and we're not going to be responsible for letting it rot away!"
..Damn.
This is just unfair man, going to school again? Wait no..this is a chance! I've always wanted to be the smart type, get into a prestigious university and brag about it. I'll definitely be the smartest in the world controlling everything from the shadows! I'll begin studying now!

We never became the smartest in the class. Turns out you need to actually study in order to get good grades, who would've known? First few years of primary school were fine, basic addition, subtraction was heavily diluted since we're in such a backwards world, but then suddenly in Highschool, they brought out multiplication, algebra, pre calculus, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, all kinds of math that I haven't seen in like 2 decades. So naturally my grades dropped from 1st place, to the mid 20s. I had mainly B's with some A's scattered in there. I wasn't stupid by no means but far from the smartest.
Who likes nerds anyway? The main thing we care about is magic practice. Which I totally studied diligently and put 100% effort into. Totally didn't just mess around with my magic playing with it and shooting it at animals and monsters.
It's my Senior Year, and we are finally beginning Magic Practice, well at least for those that are heading to the Empire's University. Speaking of the Empire, its actually huge. Roughly 4 times the size of the U.S. I'd guess. There are many diverse cultures and peoples within it because of the many kingdoms that are housed on the continent. We live in the Americaniana Kingdom, about a 10 day trolley ride form the Empire's capital, where the University is located.
Looking up at the Sun, it gave off a honey dew visage, being so early in the morning. I was on my way to School, I roughly had about 6 months Until I graduated and applied to Empire University AKA Brassica Institution of Gifted Individuals.
The fresh morning air, lacked the usual diverse scents that were present in the City. The school was a large edifice with red and black bricks being prevalent throughout the buildings structure. There was a large stadium which housed a massive arena in which many sports and events were held. This School was known as St. Palmers Academy, named after...Saint Palmer. (huge surprise)
Walking through the halls felt serene, the morning sun bled through the curtains and window blinds that were scattered across the School, and a feeling of youth and innovation permeated the very institution.
'I wanna go homeeeee'
I can't take it anymore, that god mentioned 2 people, Marco and whatever his name was. I've been on the lookout forever yet I still haven't found either of them, nor have I gotten any hints of them either.
As I sat down, I began to look for whoever else was in the class. I wasn't early so there were a fair amount of people here.
