Ringing could be heard throughout the room.
'Damn alarm.'
I pick up my phone turning off the ringing.
'Today's the first day of classes. I can't even remember any old school memories.'
I thought attempting to recall anything about my school life though I was soon utterly disappointed.
As I got ready, I could hear dings coming from my left pocket.
[Adrian: Good Morning.]
[Adrian: Are you guys ready for the first day of classes?]
[Loki Laufy: No I'm bout to fail]
[Eric: Don't be so down Loki!]
'So much energy at 7 in the morning.'
I let out a quick sigh while putting on a black blouse I had bought earlier this week.
'Luckily there's no uniforms. If I had to wear a tie every day, I think I'd die.'

"Yo"
I shouted while waving towards Eric in the distance.
"Ah, Alex! We're in the same class, right?"
"Yeah, where are the others?"
"No clue, do you know the way to the classroom?"
'Crud I have absolutely no clue.'
I frantically looked around until
I saw our savior.
"Maria!"
"Hmm?"
She looked towards us seemingly unconcerned.
"Can we follow you like ducklings to our class?"
"How are both of your senses of direction so bad?"
She remarked while messaging her temples.
"Come on, it's just this way."
'Our savior.'
I could see we were catching the attention of almost everybody we walked by.
Though Maria was used to these gazes, Eric was completely confused by them.
As we slowly started getting closer and closer to our classroom the gazes began dwindling as people had to get to class.
Maria opened the door while me and Eric followed behind her.
A familiar dumb white-haired principal came into view.
The teacher of class S, Nova Mahou Schlomo.
"Yo, Mari!"
"Don't call me that."
She coldly replied to Nova's playful demeanor as she walked over towards Adrian.
Soon after Aria and Loki came in as well.
"Okay as your wonderful teacher, I'll be taking attendance."
Nova playfully said while adjusting a small white binder he had for today's lesson.
"Adrian Klassan Pendragon"
"Here!"
"Aria Lucien Skye"
"Here."
"Eric Morden"
"Huh? Hello!"
He shouted while waving towards Nova.
'Eric never had attended school, so he didn't really know what attendance was. Truly, a country bumpkin.'
"Alex Wouden"
"Present."
"Ms. Maria Mahou Melzhin?"
"Here."
She said while narrowing her eyes towards Nova.
"Lily Reihn Sabbah"
"Here."
"And last, but not least Loki Laufeyson."
"Presente~"
"Alright then it's time to start class. First, we're going to a small little ice breaker and then move onto a combat exercise. Alrighty~"
The class just looked disappointingly towards Nova as he spoke.
"Let's have everyone go around and say their Name, Ascender, and just an ability they have."
Maria, Adrian, and Aria all got sightly intrigued since they were going to learn more about their classmates.
"I'll start and then we can go down the rankings."
"My name is Nova Mahou Schlomo, I am the incarnate of Solomon, and one of my abilities is my clairvoyance."
They all looked unsurprised by Nova's demonstration as all of it was already public to most people.
Adrian quickly stood up and began speaking.
"I'm Adrian, I'm the incarnate of Arthur Pendragon, and one of my abilities is called Sword of Chosen Kings, Caliburn."
Adrian sat down signaling to Aria to go next.
"I'm Aria, the incarnate of Scathach, and one of my abilities is the Third Rune."
Aria didn't bother standing, she and the rest of the class looks towards the next person up.
Most of the class was fixed on this person except Lily, they all wanted to know more about him.
He was one of the biggest mysteries to the public currently.
"I'm Eric, I'm the incarnate of Ethan Morden, and the first step of my footwork is called the Never-ending March."
Eric said utterly not aware of the surprise this brought to his classmates.
An utter revelation just hit the room as almost everyone was somewhat surprised by what just came out of Eric's mouth.
'Of course, I already knew, but this is a big surprise for the rest of the class. Afterall, Ethan Morden is the Last Ascender.'
"That does make sense."
Nova muttered under his breath while turning away from Eric and towards me.
'Looks like it's my turn.'
I thought while standing up.
"The name's Alex, I'm the incarnate of Odin, and I can use Farsight."
I quickly sat down trying to quickly move along this icebreaker.
"Ah, I'm Maria, I'm the incarnate of Merlin, and an ability of mine is uh-"
She quickly realized her mistake as both Adrian and Nova knowingly gave her a certain look.
"Sorry, the first art of my combat art is called Phantasmal Summoning."
'Maria only has one ability other than her combat arts currently. An ability she absolutely despises. An ability that has caused her quite a bit of trouble
