The Hospital had gained it protection after the last incident that occurred two months ago, which led to the damage of their Medical equipments, which was later paid for by Billionaire Mark Thomas. Mark has hired enough security guards and the Police takes on 24 hours patrol everyday and night, this gives them rest of mind at the hospital.
The Private Facility has been taking good care of Diana and she's been responding to treatments but not yet out of Coma, Mark Thomas has dedicated his time and energy for Diana, he only go home once in awhile, he spent almost all his two months in the Hospital after granting Larry Johnson the power to control the Thomas Tower for more than two months.
Camara Einstein and Charles bethea never lives Diana and Mark Thomas, they usually go to the Hospital to check up on her and also take care of Mark, Charles has also tried reaching Diana's father once more but all to no positive result after Camara has told him of his response when she first called him that Diana has been hospitalized.
One Wednesday morning, Mark Thomas wore a pair of dark gray, tailored trousers and a crisp, white dress shirt, rolled up at the sleeves, revealing his muscular forearms. His outfit was complemented by a fitted, black leather jacket, which added an air of ruggedness to his overall appearance.
On his feet, he wore a pair of scuffed, black combat boots, a testament to his practical and no-nonsense approach to life. A simple, silver watch adorned his left wrist, and a slim, black belt cinched at his waist, completing his attire.
Despite being in a hospital, Mark's outfit exuded an aura of confidence and authority, hinting at his background in security and his ability to handle himself in any situation. His attire was functional, yet stylish, making him stand out in the sterile hospital environment.
Mark Thomas sat beside Diana's hospital bed, his voice low and gentle as he spoke to her, hoping she would somehow respond.
"Diana, my love, I'm here for you. I'll always be here for you. You're not alone, my darling. I love you, Diana. I love you more than anything in this world."
As he spoke, he stroked her hand, his eyes fixed on her face, willing her to wake up.
And then, suddenly, Diana's body twitched. Her eyes fluttered open, and she coughed weakly, her chest rising and falling with the effort.
Mark's heart skipped a beat as he leaned forward, his face inches from hers. "Diana? Oh, Diana, can you hear me? I'm here, my love. I'm here."
Diana's eyes struggled to focus, her gaze drifting around the room before finally settling on Mark's face. She tried to speak, but her voice was barely a whisper.
"Mark..."
Tears of joy streamed down Mark's face as he smiled, his heart overflowing with emotion. "I'm here, Diana. I'm here. You're going to be okay, my love. You're going to be okay."
Mark's hands trembled with excitement as he quickly grabbed his phone from his pocket and dialed Dr. Patel's number. He couldn't believe his eyes - Diana was waking up!
As the phone rang, Mark's eyes remained fixed on Diana's face, his heart racing with anticipation. Dr. Patel's voice answered on the first ring.
"Dr. Patel, it's Mark! She's waking up! Diana's waking up!"
Dr. Patel's calm and composed tone was a stark contrast to Mark's frantic excitement. "Mark, that's great news! I'm on my way. Keep talking to her, try to keep her calm."
Mark nodded, even though Dr. Patel couldn't see him. "Okay, okay. I will. Hurry, please!"
He ended the call and turned his attention back to Diana, who was now looking at him with a mixture of confusion and recognition.
"Diana, it's me, Mark. You're safe. You're in the hospital. Dr. Patel is on her way."
Diana's eyes fluttered closed, and she took a deep breath before opening them again. Mark could see the effort it took for her to focus, but she was trying.
"Mark..." she whispered again, her voice a little stronger this time.Mark's smile lit up the room. "I'm here, my love. I'm not going anywhere."
Dr. Patel burst into the hospital room, a look of excitement and concern on her face. "Diana, oh, Diana! It's so great to see you awake!"
But as she approached the bed, she noticed the tension between Mark and Diana. Diana's eyes, once filled with a faint glimmer of recognition, now flashed with fear and anger.
"Mark, what's going on here?" Dr. Patel asked, her voice firm but controlled.
But before Mark could respond, Diana's voice cut through the air, weak but resolute. "Get him away from me."
Dr. Patel's eyes narrowed. "Diana, what's wrong?" Diana's gaze locked onto Mark, her eyes blazing with accusation.
"He's been lying to me. He's been manipulating me. I remember everything."
Mark's face paled as Diana's words hung in the air like a challenge.
Dr. Patel's expression turned stern. "Mark, I think it's best if you step outside for now."
Mark hesitated, his eyes pleading with Diana to understand. But Diana's face was resolute, her jaw set in determination.
"Please, Mark. Leave," Dr. Patel repeated, her voice firm.
With a heavy heart, Mark turned and walked out of the room, leaving Diana and Dr. Patel alone. The door closed behind him with a soft click, and Mark was left standing in the corridor, wondering what he had done wrong.
Charles stood outside the modest suburban home, clutching the note Diana had given him. He had finally tracked down her father's address, and he was determined to deliver the message.
As he approached the front door, he noticed it was slightly ajar. He pushed it open and called out, "Hello? Mr. Diana's father?"
A hushed conversation came from the next room. Charles's curiosity got the better of him, and he stepped inside, following the sound of voices.
He edged closer to the door, trying not to be seen. That's when he heard it - a conversation that made his blood run cold.
"Just make sure Mark Thomas doesn't get in the way," Larry Johnson's voice said.
"I'll take care of it," Diana's father replied. "But what about the shipment? When can we expect it?"
"The drugs will be delivered on time," Larry Johnson assured him. "And with Mark Thomas out of the picture, no one will be able to touch us."
Charles's eyes widened in horror. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Diana's father and Larry Johnson were involved in drug trafficking, and they were planning to hurt Mark Thomas.
He knew he had to get out of there, fast. Charles turned to leave, but his foot creaked on the floorboard. The conversation stopped, and the room fell silent.
Charles froze, holding his breath. He knew he had to get out of there before they discovered him. He slowly bac
ked away, trying not to make another sound.
