Miguel's eyes widened with rage, his face contorting into an ugly snarl.
"You helped her escape!" he shouted, taking another step forward. "You helped her run away, and now she's dead! You're responsible for this!"
Joanna stumbled back, her heart racing as she stared at the man in front of her. She knew that she was in danger, but she couldn't seem to move.
"Miguel, please," she pleaded, her voice trembling. "I didn't know what would happen. I just wanted to help her."
"Help her?" Miguel spat, his voice dripping with venom. "You think you were helping her? You were helping her to her death! She wasn't supposed to die this way! She was supposed to die by my hands!"
He lunged at Joanna, his hands reaching for her throat. Joanna screamed as his fingers closed around her neck, cutting off her air.
"You're going to pay for what you've done," he growled, his grip tightening as Joanna struggled to break free.
