THERE WAS STILL a random gift box that Wren wanted to test about. He wanted to see if all rewards with the 'gift box' on their names would give items since he had successfully proven how all rewards with 'cards' on the name would give a new summon to him.
After opening his status window, Wren did not hesitate to click on the last reward on the reward lists and a golden gift box appeared on his waiting hands. The moment he touched the surface of the gift, the system window showed information about the gift box.
——
Name: Randomized Gift Box
Type: Item Gift Box
Level: S
Description: A special gift box that can be acquired after completing all the monthly quests as an additional reward. Randomized because the item inside has a random class. You can either get a magical item with an S-class rank or the cheapest F-class items. All will be according to your luck.
Caution: You can't return this gift box to the system storage. You return it and you will no longer have the chance to open it ever again.
——
After wishing for his luck to make a move, Wren opened the gift box.
[Congratulations! You have acquired the [Chain of Gleipnir]! To see its stats, go to your acquired items.]
"Lucky!" Wren laughed happily as he opened his status window.

"Ohh!" Wren couldn't help but feel giddy.
Look at those skill stats! As Wren had said, even without looking at those skills one by one, he already knows how overpowered the skills of the [Fenrir Wolf] would be.
Not that he's comparing or what but his summons were both wolf beasts from different myths, yet there's still a big differential between the two just because of their class ranks.
And it's making him feel more inspired to quickly upgrade his level so that he could gather more high-ranking summons, like how Ashie collected Pokemonsters in one of the childhood animation series he watched. He also wanted to collect powerful summons.
"Let's see…[Jötunn Physiology]? Those exceedingly beautiful or alarmingly grotesque giants of Norse mythology? But why did it become a skill, though?"
After doing his hobby of asking himself first, Wren helped answer himself by clicking on the skill.
——
Name: Jötunn Physiology
Type: Skill Set
Level: S
Description: Any Jötunn will naturally have all the skills and abilities of a Jötunn. Overpowered, you may say? That's only natural because this is a skill that is composed of a set of skills all in one. Having this skill will also make you half a Jötunn. You may see that if you look at your system profile. But do it later, okay?
Usage Restriction: Because of the high class rank gap, the user can't completely activate the pure blood of a Jötunn, which also lessens the OPness of the skill. The user needs to reach S-class rank to be able to use all the skill sets of [Jötunn Physiology]. For every skill activation, the user will have to provide 10,000 HP and 1000 MP. Since the system detected that the user only activated half of the Jötunn blood from the class rank gap, the system will only subtract and add 1000 HP and 100 MP upon activation.
Active Skill/s: Preternatural Strength (Max LV), Shapeshifting (Max LV), Immortality (Locked), Illusion Mist (Max LV), Elemental Abilities (Max LV), Interdimensional Travel (Locked)
Passive Skill/s: Divinity (Locked)
——
Ignoring the system intervention on the skill description, Wren was torn between celebrating or lamenting.
"The fuck with this usage restriction? It was like the system was telling me to fuck off; I'm still too weak to have this skill. Then it should have made it locked as well!"
This made him feel an alarm. What if the other skill, which was obviously higher than the class rank of the Fenrir, would also show the same restrictions?
To check, Wren also takes a look at the other available skills.
——
Name: Thermal Manipulation
Type: Magic Skill
Level: B
Description: Fenrir's personal magic ability was to manipulate temperature around him. It was mentioned that his eyes and nose 'blaze with fire' as he join forces with Jörmungandr and the rest of Loki's Jötnar army during Ragnarök, which was proof that he can really project blasts of heat.
Usage Restriction: This requires the user to have at least B-class rank to only require 100 MPs upon activation but the system detected that the user was still at D-class rank so this might be multiplied. After the system calculation, the required MP will be no more than 1000 per thirty minutes. Additional time usage would require the same amount, whether it was only for a second extension of usage.
Active Skill/s: Thermal Breath (Max LV), Thermal Embodiment (Max LV), Thermal Blast (Max LV)
Passive Skill/s: None
——
"That's a whole lot of thermal skills there," Wren commented, nodding.
It's good that there weren't any locked skills from it. But he can't be sure on the next one.
——
Name: Cosmic Hunger
Type: Superpower Skill
Level: A
Description: A great body comes with a great hunger. Because the Fenrir's body is a giant wolf who could eat everything, he has an intense hunger to eat anything. According to the records, Fenrir could devour anything organic or inorganic, even concepts and primordial gods like Odin.
Usage Restriction: This requires the user to have at least A-class rank to only require 1000 HPs upon activation. The system detected that the user was still at D-class rank so this might be multiplied. After the system calculation, the required MP will be no more than 1500 per ten minutes. Additional time usage would require the same amount, whether it was only for a second extension of usage.
Active Skill/s: Consumptive Growth (Max LV), Digestive Assimilation (Max LV), Infinite Digestive System (Max LV)
Passive Skill/s: Insiatibility (Max LV)
——
This time, Wren didn't comment and just nodded his head. Good to see that only the [Jötunn Physiology] skill has some locked skills. Wren could think that it was because it is a skill set and that it is a S-class skill.
Wren then had his eyes set on the last skill, for which he was more curious than the first ones. He clicked on it as fast as he could so that he didn't dwell on the last skill he had seen like he usually does.
——
Name: Chain of Gleipnir
Type: Armament Proficiency Skill
Level: B
Description: The chain of Gleipnir is the same chain that was used to bind the mighty wolf, Fenrir, until the fated time of his break free from this fetter only to devour Odin. That was the fact known by everyone but the truth was hidden. Fenrir had actually gotten the hold of the Gleipnir long before that; he could free himself if he would. But he already accepted his own fate of defeating Odin at Ragnarök and getting killed by one of Odin's sons, Víðarr. So Fenrir remains on the island of Lyngvi until the twilight of the gods so the prophecy may happen.
Usage Restriction: This requires the user to have at least a B-class rank to only require 100 HPs upon activation but the system detected that the user was still at a D-class rank so this might be multiplied. After the system calculation, the required HP will be no more than 500 per thirty minutes. Additional time usage would require the same amount, whether it was only for a second extension of usage.
Active Skill/s: Meteor Hummer Proficiency (Max LV), Shockwave Stomp (Max LV), Chain Attack (Max LV)
Passive Skill/s: None
——
Wren became speechless after reading the hidden plot of the Fenrir's legend on the skill description that he ignored the usage restriction. He wanted to question the system about it but he knew that the system won't give him an explanation.
A low grumble escapes his lips as frustration almost eats him up. There's a familiar itch feeling in him that he couldn't soothe with a simple scratch. And a thirst for something that isn't water or food had flooded his system.
All this reaction was very familiar to Wren. Because he always had these every time he couldn't find answers to his questions after doing research on his original world. It was a feeling of not grasping everything when he thought that he was reaching for it because of a single factor that he couldn't find, but he looked and studied for it.
And this feeling was the thing he couldn't miss in his former life. He didn't expect that even in this world where myths are no longer legends but historical facts in some way would still make him feel the same unsatiated thirst him.
Wren took a deep breath. "This is really frustrating." Then he mumbled a curse before forcefully exiting the skill profile.
He once again stared at his status window, which was still activated, and then decided to distract himself by looking at his newly acquired item.
"Wait, it's an S-class rank item? Well, thinking as it was used to bind the primordial beast god, Fenrir for a long time until he was able to control it makes sense."
Then he also clicks on it to see its information.
——
Name: Chain of Gleipnir
Level: S-class
Type: Mythical Item
Description: To delay the inevitable, the gods had asked the dwarves to craft the impossible chain that would bind the Fenrir wolf. Using the same out-of-impossible materials to create the impossible binding, the dwarves have successfully created the mystical chain that they called Gleipnir and successfully bind Fenrir for an unknown time. Yet what they didn't know was it wouldn't last since the primordial beast had successfully bound with the chain.
