ONE BY ONE, Wren stared at the displayed task and mission before him that were all the suggestions of Vanna, the lady admin. Their name, ID numbers, the short description, and the deadline and rewards were all displayed and free for his inspection.
Wren wanted to commend this lady admin for her good work and quick service. If this was still in his past world, he might have wanted to call for the manager to give her a good review.
There are ten tasks with different levels according to the difficulty of the task but all can be completed on the second and first floors of the dungeon tower. It was the same for the remaining three missions of choice.
After reading all the mission and task content, Wren decided to pick among it. Since all the tasks had a deadline that ranges from a day to three days, while the missions can be completed with the time limit of two weeks at most, Wren honestly wanted to take them all.
Especially looking at the high rewards. Even if all of them are only willing to pay an additional dungeon coin, the amount was enough to tempt him. Taking all of it, Wren was sure that the rewards were enough to motivate him to complete them all in one to two days.
Unfortunately, the current system task that he must complete didn't allow him to be capricious. After completing the first task under the chain task that he triggered, he couldn't focus on the given rewards but on the new task announcement that follows afterwards.

Chain Task
Second Task (Easy)
Congratulations on completing the first task! Since you are well informed now with the basics of dungeon coin exchange, it's time to experience earning in the midst of your own physical drill. Take at least two tasks and one mission from the commission administration and must complete it within the given time limit.
Time Limit: 2 hours and 30 minutes
Caution: Not completing this task will naturally affect the chain task. Please complete it before the given deadline.
Task Reward/s: +1 All Stats, 5 AP, 25 XP

This obviously put off his intention of taking all the presented commissions before him. Wren was sure that if he really took everything, he might end up distracted from focusing on specific tasks, which may cause him to fail them.
With only two hours left from the given limit, he's not too ignorant to act arrogant and mighty and then overestimate his own capability. He knew that with his current level, only his system was the real OP.
So Wren decided to filter out the suggested commissions before him. He took the only two tasks that can be done on the second floor of the dungeon as well as an easier mission that can also be done on the second floor of the dungeon.
All of this choosing and deciding took half of the additional thirty minutes on the provided time limit since the release of the second task. He couldn't bear to delay more and quickly pointed out the commission IDs.
"Is it okay if you quickly approve all of these? I will just read the details once I get there," Wren requested.
"Of course, Mr. Adams. Let me record them first and I will transfer them all to your commission window. Please wait for three minutes."
And as the lady admin says, it only took her three minutes to approve and send all the commission details back to his commission window. Wren gave the lady admin a small smile and a thank-you before leaving her table and going to the teleportation area.
"Good day! This is table twenty-one information clerk, Dan. Going up, sir?" The familiar introduction of the information clerk in the teleportation information desk.
"Yes. I wanted to take the second floor this time for some commissions."
While Wren was speaking, his own hands were also working as it activated his SPIA to have the male clerk see his profile status as they required. This time, aside from the usual profile information, there was also an added detail on his status window—the symbol of the tower's Commission on Service logo, which was enough proof of his commission taking.
"Looking at your profile, Sir Adams, although you are a newly registered hunter, since you are a D-class hunter, you can have permission to get to the second floor by now. As for the commissions, as long as you return to commission admins to record that you had completed them before the provided deadline, then you can automatically get the rewards."
This male clerk moves a lot faster than the female clerks who assisted him before. Probably because the male clerk focused more on doing his profession while some of the female clerks were just too outgoing and friendly.
"You're set now, Sir Adams. Congratulations on successfully reaching the second floor. It will be recorded now in your system history so it will be easy to get to the second floor from now on."
"Just step on the teleportation circle and you will be directly teleported to the second floor of the tower. May the venerable lords bless you on your exploration, Sir Adams."
Wren indifferently nodded his head and took back his activated SPIA. He only has two hours and five minutes before the deadline of the system tasks so he has no time for formalities.
He walks towards the teleportation circle, which was slowly getting occupied with other hunters. Together with others, Wren took the remaining space and after the light engulfed their figures, Wren opened his eyes to a new environment.
If the first floor was a warm and bright forest setting, Wren was quite surprised when what welcomed him the moment he opened his eyes was the darkness and gloomy environment of the second-floor dungeon.
"Fuck! This place really gives off a bad vibe! If it wasn't for the task, I wouldn't dare go back here! Those perverted missuses, what's even the use of requesting this task when they couldn't find any willing witch hunter to make it? As if that would be enough to cover their ugliness. Pwe!" said one of the men who came in a group with Wren.
"Shut it! What if the tower detected you as spreading the commissioner's information? This idiot! Let's just get on with this so we can quickly complete the task. Quit complaining!" Probably the leader of their group reprimanded them.
The former tsk-ed but no longer spoke and followed everyone who one by one stepped out of the teleportation circle. Wren followed as well and even when they obviously wanted to come out of the cave completely, Wren also trailed behind them.
As he can see, they located the teleportation circle inside a cold cave. Luckily, it wasn't a humid cave but a dry but cold cave made of hard rocks. It may be a bit bigger than a normal cave because Wren continued following the other hunters to come out of the cave.
On their way out, Wren noticed how they had exited a lot of cave entrances and yet he could still not see any outside light aside from the light positioned by the tower administrators. And this source of light also becomes their guide to get out of the cave.
After a few twists and turns, Wren could see the end of the cave because he could see the light coming in from outside. When the other hunters saw that, they hastened their steps and some even started running just to get out faster.
On the other hand, Wren slowed down his space as he tried to decipher why the light outside was almost the same as the lights provided by those lamps on each side of the cave but a bit dimmer but made the outside more clearer?
Wren only remembers from the knowledge left to him by the original that the monsters residing in this dungeon were skeletal monsters. But it seems like the original forgot what type of terrain there is.
The closer he was to the mouth of the cave, the more clearer the idea that Wren could guess. Until he was standing outside of the cave, Wren had a face full of disbelief as he roamed his eyes around.
Dark and gloomy. That's the first two descriptions that came to his mind when he realized the setting of this dungeon. The period of time in this dungeon is always night so there's only the big full moon that was always in the top center wherever you go as the only source of light.
It also looks closer because of how big it is but a lot 'bluer' than the usual white color so instead of a brighter moonlight, the light it gives is the same as the brightest moonlight that Wren had ever experienced back in his world. That you can still see the face and figure of the person or something within close proximity without the need of any source of light.
This type of light was enough to make a slightly clear vision of the terrain. And as expected, the cave where they positioned the teleportation area was inside a big rocky butte mountain.
This form of light just added another level of horror as it loomed over the place like a tall mountain. It didn't give a relief but instead, it made anyone's hair stand up from an unknown.
As expected, the setting of the second-floor dungeon was not only dark and gloomy, but the geographical setting was also uninviting. It was in a rocky, deserted mountainous area that had been the worst landforms for Wren.
He could stand the heat of the Sahara Desert or trek to the tallest mountain, Mount Everest, back in his former world but never did he try exploring a rocky deserted mountain much more likely on this gloomy dungeon!
But it's not like he has a choice to begin with. It's not because he's afraid of heights or something. He just hates climbing on rocky and sandy mountains. Fortunately, although this cave was on top of a butte mountain, the tower administrators were kind enough to also put a lift within.
When Wren looked back, he saw that the lift where everyone entered was closing. He can only watch as the others don't wait for him. He was just curious and took a look outside but they took that short curiosity of his as time-wasting so they didn't wait for him.
He could only face the other lift on the other side of the cave when he saw that it was going up. He couldn't just jump out of the mouth of the cave because this butte mountain was taller than he expected. The cave was also almost at the top of the butte so jumping was obviously not on his list of choices.
Luckily, it didn't take long for the lift to reach the top. With a 'ting', the lift's door slowly opened, and he was welcomed by three beautiful ladies inside.
"That was really frightening! We're lucky that we didn't need to fight that Lich Knight or we can't even escape!" The shortest girl exclaimed.
The horror that she experienced could still be noticed on her cute little lolli face. While the other two girls standing on each side of her nodded as well, there was the same horrified expression on their beautiful faces.
"Maybe this day was our bad luck. We couldn't even complete the task. Fortunately, we still have two days before the deadline. We must make it tomorrow!" The tallest girl on the right said, and her horrified expression was changed into a determined look.
Wren didn't plan to watch their little talk but because they were standing at the front of the doorway, he couldn't find a space to enter. Fortunately, the other girl had noticed him so she quickly called out her friends.
"Quick! There's someone who will use the lift. Let's continue the talk in the lobby. Come on!"
When the other two noticed him, everyone bowed at him before rushing out of the lift with embarrassed faces. Wren could only scratch his temple, as he himself felt a little bit embarrassed.
But remembering their looks, they might be eighteen years old. Yet they could already form a team and enter this horror-like dungeon.
What a bunch of brave kids! Wren entered the lift, forgetting that with his current body, he was also now a kid like them.
This lift was much faster than the elevators on the former Earth. If he would compare it to a building in his world, this butte mountain might consist of eighty stories, and yet, it only took ten seconds for the lift to reach the ground floor.
