Leonard and Zeus continued with a few more rounds of testing different power outputs. Since magic points were crucial for summoning, Zeus followed Leonard's observations closely.
Even though Zeus had some ideas, he didn't share them immediately, as he wanted to observe Leonard's growth. Despite hating his guts and attitude, Zeus understood how sad and dreadful Leonard's life had been before. All of Leonard's actions had their reasons, likely stemming from a life where he never had the chance to be truly happy.
'I still have to learn about leveling up. So far, my experience points have been decent. I still…'
[Experience: 600/1000]
"Zeus, I want to see the rewards of leveling up. Can you help me?"
Hearing that, Zeus flexed his biceps with a beaming face. "How much do you need?"
"Forty chanaks. Please continue regulating your power output." As Leonard said this, Zeus was about to leave for hunting, but Leonard stopped him. "Wait, I've changed my mind. Can I join you? I'm interested in seeing how you create those electrical bolts. Maybe in the near future, I can be a mage."
Zeus still felt the same light aura from Leonard, making his intention clear. Feeling no other concerns, Zeus agreed.
"But, how would you become a mage?" Zeus showed palpable confusion. "I mean, I looked into something about the gaming system and found out about classes. Since you can summon me, it means you're a summoner. But that doesn't mean you can be a mage, right?"
Leonard shook his head. "There's something called subclasses. And there's a specific level required to acquire a subclass. At least, that's what I learned from the big guard. Looks like I'll have to bother him again."
Zeus nodded and guided Leonard as they searched for chanaks nearby. When they spotted one, Zeus immediately took action and cast a lightning bolt at the chanak, killing it instantly without giving it a chance to growl.
Leonard watched how precise and accurate Zeus was with every shot. As they encountered more chanaks, Leonard couldn't help but admire the magic. It was different from what he had seen in the village. There was a familiarity in it that he felt.
'Could it be... I'm destined to be a mage but just got unlucky by becoming a summoner? Well, if I think about it, summoners should summon magical beasts, not a god. Even though he's powerful, there's still a boundary between us that I can't break. I can't exactly pet this old man.'
"Leonard, I can sense some of your gazes being... weird," Zeus remarked, his tone sharp. "Are you... staring at me with those luscious eyes?" Zeus gestured, covering his body playfully.
Leonard didn't reply immediately and kept his gaze fixed on Zeus. After a few seconds, he responded, "Did you think so? You really believe I'd be interested in you?"
Instead of arguing, Leonard directly targeted Zeus's pride, causing him to twitch and grin awkwardly.
"Never mind. I thought you were just another weirdo who might be in love with my body. No offense to your preferences, but I don't like kids, and in general, males."
Leonard felt his stomach churn but didn't show it, for some reason. He just rolled his eyes before summoning the status board.
A smirk appeared on his face as he noticed that his experience points were nearly at their threshold.
"More… Hunt more, Zeus."
Zeus dropped his jokes and scanned the area before releasing a few controlled electrical blasts. At that moment, Leonard felt a sudden, powerful sensation inside his body, as if a shackle had been removed.
'What is this feeling? Is this what it's like to level up?'
[Level Up! Level 2!]
[Experience: 0/1500]
Despite being pleased with the result, Leonard felt a growing sense of worry. Was his class truly a problem? Why did it seem like leveling up was becoming increasingly difficult?
'I mean, it's not bad that I leveled up. But leveling up is the only way to earn stats,' Leonard thought.
[Basic Stats]
[Health: 130/130]
[Magic: 49/55]
[Strength: 10]
[Defense: 5]
[Agility: 5]
[Wisdom: 8 (+2)]
'There's something about this class that makes leveling up and earning stats difficult,' Leonard thought.
Not long ago, Leonard's magic points had nearly reached their limit. This forced them to conclude the day's hunting, and Leonard began counting the spoils from their visit to the tower.
Zeus simply watched, amused by how focused Leonard was on tallying the potential earnings. Leonard counted on his fingers, nodding occasionally, and smiling. Zeus couldn't help but find some entertainment in Leonard's growth.
'If this kid hadn't faced such a harsh fate, with his sharp wits, he might've become something greater. But with how unlucky he's been with this class, with its obvious flaws and drawbacks, he won't even reach half of the greatness this world has to offer,' Zeus speculated, aware that Leonard relied heavily on his presence.
Given Leonard's fragile appearance, it seemed unlikely he could become a fighter, and his limited magic points made becoming a mage equally challenging.
Zeus sighed and disappeared. The sky was turning orange, and he still needed to observe the difference in time between this world and Olympus.
As Leonard noticed Zeus's disappearance, he felt a brief pang of concern for his safety, but it quickly faded as he began thinking about what he could purchase with the items they had gained.
'Could this be the joy those adventurers from the past and in the novels felt? This is just amazing… I could earn even more if I could summon Zeus for longer!'
However, his thoughts were interrupted as he recalled his

'Summoning still baffles me. How could I summon them, except for Zeus?' He thought deeply but couldn't find a good answer, so he gave up. 'I should ask the guard.'
Leonard hurried to the guard, and fortunately, the bulky guard was there, on his shift. He immediately asked about his concern.
"Do you know anything about Summoner classes? I want to know how I can raise my
The bulky guard took a few seconds before replying, "Are you a Summoner? Boy… you're doomed."
