It's been few days since That day. Up until now Zhao Ling act strangely. He no longer scared or panicked when he saw Yang Luoya. In fact, he become close to him, greet him , and sometimes shared his sweets. Yang Luoya is the clueless one here, he just accept and respond him.
"Yang Wei! look i found beautiful flowers!" Zhao Ling run towards Yang Wei. "It's not that pretty", Yang Wei respond coldly.
Zhao Ling pouted, "If you don't like it i will give it to big brother Yang Luoya"
Yang Wei stopped his steps and turn around, facing Zhao Ling. "Since when you become closer to Big brother Yang Luo?", He sounds annoyed.
"Why do you ask? Big brother Luoya is kind, he always respond me unlike someone", Zhao Ling changed his tone.
"Don't get too close to him", Yang Wei said with a bit anger.
"You can't order me around! i have the rights to get closer to whoever i want", Zhao Ling were angry too. Yang Wei and Zhao Ling argue as they walk together.
Coincidentally Yang Luoya were present. He actually followed them from behind. "those two were together again?", he mumbled.
"No is a no! don't get close to him"
"You can't tell me what to do! Beside i like him!"
"NO! Big brother Luo is mine!", Yang Wei yelled.
Yang Luoya stopped his step, "just what the heck they are talking about?" Yang Luoya were confused as he heard what those two said.
They continue to argue as they climb the stairs. "Hah?! you have no right to do that! Big brother Luo is also mine!", Zhao Ling chase after Yang Wei and grabbed his arm.
Burned by anger, Yang Wei accidently pushes Zhao Ling, "I told you you can't do that!", Zhao Ling loses his balance and fall from the stairs.
Fortunately Yang Luoya who saw all of that acted fast and catch him. Yang Luoya panicked, Zhao Ling almost died because of that. A flash of anger appeared in Yang Luoya eyes, he glare at Yang Wei. "Do you know how dangerous it is?"
Yang Wei were shocked. "Do you know Zhao Ling might have badly injured caused by your action? even worse....he might died", Yang Luoya continued to glare at Yang Wei.
Yang Wei were scared and feel guilty, "B-brother i-i.... i-i'm sorry", Yang Wei stutter as he apologized.
"Don't apologize to me, apologize to Zhao Ling", Said Yang Luoya as he put Zhao Ling down.
"I-I'm sorry Zhao Ling", said Yang Wei as he got closer. "it's okay...", said Zhao Ling.
"So then....", Yang Wei tried to hold Yang Luoya hands as if to calm him down, but Yang Luoya just evade his hand.
"Go back to your room", Said Yang Luoya as he keep glaring at him. Yang Wei were shocked, he never saw Yang Luoya with that much disappointment, He's afraid that Yang Luoya might hate him.
"b-but brother....", Yang Wei tried to explain.
"Don't you hear me? go back to your room and reflect yourself", Yang Wei shocked. He wouldn't be surprised if the past Yang Luoya said that, but he's been kind to him this whole time. Yang Wei run away with tears.
"(Some times a child needs to get scolded)", Yang Luoya thought as he stare at Yang Wei back. "You can go back to your room too", Said Yang Luoya to Zhao Ling. Zhao Ling nodded and walk away.
Yang Wei went inside his room and locked the door. As soon as the door locked, he slump down and cried. "what if he hates me? what if he disappoint in me? what if he won't talk to me anymore? what if he returned to his past self? what if he no longer loves me? What if he never smiled at me again?", Yang Wei cried near the door.
The next day....
"Mysterious death?", Yang Luoya asked his father.
Yang Soren rest his chin on his hand, "yeah, a corpse was found with completely burned body, only one mark remain, a flower petals on his arm", Yang Soren explained.
"But that mark probably his owner doing right?", Yang Soren stare at Yang Luoya.
"Not completely wrong, but one of the courtesan from the brothel have the same mark, now she's completely scared if she's been targeted by someone"
Mysterious death with flower petals mark? something like this have never been mentioned in the plot. Another variable? First the curse came faster than intended, second the devil appeared early, and now mysterious death? It's as if someone other than me have altered the original plot.
"So you want me to investigate this?"
"You can't become the emperor, but you might become the officer or general in the future, so try to win the citizen heart by doing something like this"
"I understand"
Yang Luoya walk through the hallway, lost in thought. He thought the plot has been altered way too much. What if one day Qing Shan failed to defeat the devil?
Yang Luoya didn't realize Yang Wei were standing in front of him. Yang Wei smiled, trying to greet him, since Yang Luoya were lost in thought, He just walk past him. Yang Wei was shocked, he thought Yang Luoya still mad at him and decide to ignore him. Tears secretly fall down from his cheek.
"He really hates me now....", Yang Wei mumble.
Yang Luoya was preparing his horse. He decided to bring a small number of guard in this mission. A young man went closer to him and give him a robe. Yang Luoya stare at the unfamiliar face. "Young master, i'm Song Ren, I'm the youngest squire and have been assigned to assist your mission"
"(squire? i thought he's a general or something based on his body.... i mean he's tall and those muscle.... no kidding)", Yang Luoya were shocked. Song Ren is tall man, Good body, sharp eyes, and of course handsome face. Yang Luoya grab the robe from him and wear it.
"Let's go", Yang Luoya hop on his horse, and Song Ren do the same.
