It was a day before Yang Luoya's departure to investigate Yanqi's death. Yang Wei locked himself inside his room, 'reflecting' his actions. He curl near his bed, instead reflecting his action, He worried about the fact that Yang Luoya mad at him.
If something like this happened before Shu Lan take over Yang Luoya's body, Yang Wei wouldn't mind it since Yang Luoya were never kind towards him. But now is different, Yang Luoya were kind to him. He treat him more than a sibling and more than a friend. He's afraid Yang Luoya might change and hate him.
"I will apologize to him later.... i don't want him to avoid me", Said Yang Wei while tears stream down his cheek.
The next day Yang Wei went to Yang Luoya's bedroom but he's nowhere to be found. He asks A servant passing by.
"Do you know where's my brother is?"
"lord Yang Luoya were called by His majesty a few minutes ago"
After knowing Yang Luoya's whereabout, he went to Yang Soren Office. A familiar figure came out from Yang Soren's office, it was Yang Luoya. Yang Wei smiled brightly and make a small run towards Yang Luoya. Yang Wei attempted to greet him.
"bro-"
Before he greet him, Yang Luoya just walk past him. Yang Wei just froze there. He turn around to make sure what he has seen, hoping everything is not true. Yang Wei's hope were shattered, Yang Luoya not even once glancing back. Yang Wei stare at Yang Luoya's back, his mind is such a mess.
"(he's still mad at me? does he hate me now? what if he never smile at me ever again?.... what if he abandon me...)", The thought of him being abandoned just like before haunted him. Being alone inside cold palace, have no one to rely on, being looked down yet bear impossible expectation, As he fight with his own mind, tears stream down once more, but this time he cried silently, unable to expressing his sadness.
Despite his tears, Yang Wei didn't give up, he still believe his brother will forgive him. He tried to apologize again the next day. Unfortunately it's the same as yesterday, he's not in his room.
"Lord Yang Wei? are you waiting for lord Yang Luoya?", it was Bai Qian who were passing by.
Behind him there's a little kid that cling onto his waist. The little kid glare at him as if marking him as his enemy. Yang Luoya have warned Yang Wei about the kid who following Bai Qian around, he shouldn't get close to him. Yang Wei still puzzled why Yang Luoya warned that.
"um... yeah... do you know where my brother went?", Yang Wei asked.
"Unfortunately lord Yang Luoya was sent to investigate something by His majesty, he probably won't come back today", Said Bai Qian.
"I need something from him, so i will wait for him", Said Yang Wei with determination.
"You probably shouldn't, he won't come back today", Bai Qian replied with worry.
Yang Wei shake his head, "i will wait"
Bai Qian and Liu Ao left Yang Wei alone. Yang Wei just standing in front of Yang Luoya room, waiting for him. Several hours has passed, the sun already setting. Yang Luoya hasn't come back. Yang Wei curl near Yang Luoya door, hoping he will shown up soon.
"I should wait a little longer, he might come back anytime soon.... as soon as he come back i have to apologize to him... maybe he will scold me a little bit, but as long as he could smile at me again, i won't mind it", Yang Wei still has high hopes.
The moon shine through the window, the night has come, but Yang Luoya never shown up. Yang Wei still sitting in front of Yang Luoya's door, his eyes is red, he tried to hold back his sadness and disappointment.
"brother.... where are you?", He mumble before he stand up and leave. Once more his hopes were shattered.
The next day, Yang Wei heard his brother has returned. Despite his sadness and tiredness from yesterday, he run towards Yang Soren's office. Hoping to see him and make sure to apologize today. The same scene happened again. Yang Luoya came out from Yang Soren's office while Yang Wei make a little run towards him.
"bro-", Before he said anything, Yang Luoya cut his sentence.
"Sorry, i'm tired", Yang Luoya said with no emotion. He just walk past him the same as the day before yesterday. Yang Wei keep getting rejected, his hopes keep getting shattered. He didn't know what he should do next. In the end he return to his room in disappointed.

"Hey have you heard? Lord Yang Luoya caught chronic disease, he went into a seclusion and no one allowed to get near to Lakeside pavilion, isn't that weird?"
"Chronic disease? don't tell me..... i heard there's a mysterious illness that no doctor can cure..."
"I don't think he caught that mysterious illness, the same thing happened years ago, i guess he could never inherit the throne because of this disease"

The rumour keep going around. It started when Bai Qian carried Yang Luoya to Lakeside pavilion. Servants who usually assigned to clean Lakeside Pavilion were not allowed to take a single step inside. That place was strictly guarded. No one knew the reason. The only one who allowed to enter are Bai Qian and imperial Physician.
"no... there's no way my brother is sick....", Yang Wei who eavesdrop from behind the door mumble. He's panicked. What if he really caught that mysterious illness. They said no doctor can cure it, that means no doctor can predict it. The scene a few days ago haunted Yang Wei.
The man who caught mysterious disease dead. wasn't it at that time Yang Luoya almost touch the rotting wound? What if .....what if the disease is contagious. The tought of Yang Luoya dying made Yang Wei panicked.
