As Yaxoc followed Luna through the halls, the place felt eerily empty. Lockers lined the walls, and doors led to various classrooms, but one caught his attention—a door labeled "Ultimate Lesson."
Curious, Yaxoc pointed and asked, "Hey Luna, what's that?"
Luna glanced at the door and replied, "Oh, that's the Ultimate Lesson. They're pretty important for Z+ rank saviors, but you're not qualified yet."
Yaxoc scoffed, thinking it was ridiculous. "Oh, higher rank-ups, eh? Sounds stupi—" Before he could finish, a laser beam whizzed past, barely missing him.
The source was a cowboy with a star-shaped hat. "Hey, noobie, don't underestimate Z+ rank saviors. They're the ones saving the city from all kinds of danger."
Yaxoc glared at him, "The #### you call me?"
The cowboy smirked, "Did I hit a nerve? I just called you a noobie." He shifted his gaze to Luna. "Ah, it's the catgirl."
Luna asked, confused, "Why aren't you in the Ultimate Lesson? Did you pass the exam?"
The cowboy casually replied, "Yeah, passed it already. Easy stuff. My lasers bounce off walls now."
Yaxoc, unimpressed, muttered, "So you shoot lasers? I expected some kind of deadly attack. You don't look that strong for a Z+ rank savior."
The cowboy chuckled. "Buddy, I'm a ranged savior."
Yaxoc raised an eyebrow. "The hell's a ranged savior?"
Luna stepped in, explaining, "Those are roles used in battle strategies. The offensive goes up front, the ranged stays behind, and the support scans for enemies from a safe place."
Yaxoc, slightly impressed but still skeptical, responded, "So you're telling me this pew pew idiot is ranged? Aren't ranged saviors weak compared to—"
Before he could finish, Luna slapped him. "OW! AGAIN?!"
Luna shot back, fed up. "They're not weak, they're just keeping their distance, you bum!"
The cowboy, now bored of the back-and-forth, gave them a disinterested look and walked away.
Luna sighed, regaining her composure. "Let's go, Yaxoc. There's more I need to show you, and we're running out of time."
Yaxoc begrudgingly nodded and followed her as she led him through more of the school, explaining the different roles. Yaxoc listened but barely paid attention, tuning out most of her yap.
Eventually, Luna stopped in front of a door. "This is my apartment," she said. "The school provides these for free."
Yaxoc looked surprised. "Seriously? I thought you'd have to pay bills or something. So, this is where I'm staying?"
Luna nodded. "Yeah, you're staying with us."
Yaxoc raised an eyebrow. "Wait... us? Someone else lives here?"
Luna chuckled. "Yep. She's out right now, but I'll introduce you later." She opened the door, motioning for Yaxoc to enter. "Come on in!"
Yaxoc shrugged and walked in, his eyes widening at the sight of the decor. "Whoa... those stars are actually moving?"
Luna followed behind, smiling. "Yeah, that's my power—Starlight."
"Sounds cool, I guess," Yaxoc muttered, still taking in the room.
Then, Luna turned to him with a puzzled look. "By the way... why do you have a tin pot on your head? I didn't notice until now."
Yaxoc shot her a look. "Hey, it fits my style, alright?"
Luna snorted. "Didn't think someone like you would wear kitchen stuff. What's next, a frying pan?" She laughed.
"Yeah, yeah, real funny, catgirl," Yaxoc grumbled, clearly annoyed.
As Yaxoc settled in, one thought lingered—who knows what kind of training he'd face tomorrow?
