Kaid couldn't breathe. Grasping one of the pillars, he gasped for air, his cheeks flushed, and his eyes fluttering closed.
"What is this feeling?" he choked out as he leaned against the pillar, running a hand through his hair. He didn't know why, but he knew that if he had stayed a second longer, he would have lost all control and turned into a feral beast.
He stared at his outstretched hand before clenching it into a fist. One thing Kaid knew for sure—his body was reacting wildly to the situation. The worst part was, he didn't understand why.
