"What the fuck is Kaid thinking?!" Meliora screamed at the top of her lungs, pulling at her hair. She gnashed her teeth, then roared, smacking her hand against the dresser.
Pain shot through her, and she winced, releasing another frustrated grunt.

Crucifix panicked, morphing back to his original form, floating in front of her while playing some calming music, trying to ease her anger.
Meliora inhaled and exhaled, but she couldn't shake the triumphant look on Vandet's face as she left.
"Nice? My foot! She had this smug smile like my math teacher after giving us loads of assignments to finish in one night," she ranted, her face scrunched in disgust.
