Andrew's POV
I followed Jade into her room, still trying to reconcile her cheerful demeanor with the events of this morning.
We sat on the edge of her bed, an awkward silence stretching between us.
I glanced around, taking in the details of her space - a few unpacked boxes in the corner, a small collection of books on the nightstand, and a worn stuffed animal peeking out from under her pillow. She was slowly making the room, hers.
Her intoxicating smell was all over the room and I breathed it in, gratefully. That was enough to make my wolf feel happy and satisfied.
"So, I have been thinking. About us, I mean..." Jade began, fidgeting with the hem of her shirt.
My heart leapt, hope surging through me. My wolf perked up, eager for what she might say next.
"I know things have been weird between us," she continued and looked me in the eyes. I could see guilt and remorse in her eyes.
