Chapter 1 - Volume 0 Chapter 1: I am a System

Neo finds himself in the form of grey light suspended in a dark space which has countless light balls of different colors floating at different speeds across the space.

After some time Neo musters the courage to stop a grey light like himself and tries to ask the situation.

"Hey buddy, could you spare a moment ?"

The light ball stops and apparently annoyed by the sudden stopping, replied: "What's up? Keep it short. I don't have much time"

Feeling relieved that he could get some information, Neo asks "Could you please tell me about this space ?"

"Yoo!!! What do we have here? A newbie, a low-level one at that"

The other one said while attracting the attention of others.

Soon a lot of other light balls came to a stop as if trying to listen, then kept moving. Apparently, it was a common occurrence.

He continued "We are administrators of this universe and travel to different timelines to keep the balance."

The first thing that flashed through Neo's mind was (does he have any at the moment ? Who knows)...could it be like a system?

So he asked "So this is the system control center ?"

The other one jokingly replied "Haha! so you are one of those .....otakus. Yes, you can understand it that way. We are pretty much the same, but better. All you need to do is collect destiny power and keep upgrading....."

After some lengthy explanation, Neo was able to grasp the basic rules of this space.

These light balls are just like him who are sent to this space to preserve the universe and the only objective is to collect enough destiny power to upgrade.

Destiny value can be exchanged with creation value to create anything out of nothing.

The color of your light ball shows your level from low to high being: Grey, White, Yellow, Green, Blue, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Purple, Red, and finally Colorful.

They can enter any of the world or time space to collect destiny value. Based on your grade you can enter different worlds and are granted different authorities.

Grey & white ones could only travel to low-level mortal worlds, while Green and blue ones are allowed to enter supernatural worlds.

Legend has it that Purple and above grades even have the power to create a whole new reality and even have permission to visit the Lord God, The Controller of this space.

Before leaving he said to Neo "You can go to the center and find a roulette, Spin it once and it will randomly draw destiny value which is a benefit for newbies. It will help you upgrade faster. Se ya!!."

with that, he flew away leaving Neo still caught in deep thought.

Coming back to his senses Neo decided to spin the Roulette before any further actions.

.....

Soon Neo reached a square with a giant spinning wheel in the center and a small podium like structures on front of it. Silver lights floated on each desk.

Neo went to one at random and asked "Where can I use my chance to spin a roulette?"

He was informed that each entity can spin a free roulette every 5 missions or pay 1000 Destiny values per spin between that period.

The roulette had number of prices from newbie packs to even creation modes. The highest being a multiplier.

Of course, hoping for the best Neo waited for his turn and finally, after a long wait, he got to the front...
