"I will not leave until you let me have a servant!" insisted Morgan stubbornly.
[Absolute Magic: Mana Domain]
Morgan and Mira, who were standing near Alisha, suddenly fell face down on the grass of the Romarich residence's backyard. Morgan strengthened his body and tried to activate physical enhancement magic, but it was useless.
Only Alisha stood tall, staring back with sharp eyes, intimidating Morgan. Morgan even had to sweat just to raise his head and look at his mother.
'Why do I have to get hit by her mana domain too?' complained Mira, still able to withstand the pressure of Alisha's mana using Mira's mana, but not with Morgan.
'S-So, this is what mana domain is?' asked Morgan inwardly.
The mana domain was a high-level magic that did not use the basic principle of the five elements' power. The basic of mana domain magic was the manipulation of mana. Alisha used the mana in her body to create a strong gravitational pressure around her at a certain distance according to her strength.
The intensity of Alisha's mana was also increased to the point that it made it difficult for Morgan and Mira to breathe, potentially killing them.
"If you can use your mana domain at your current age, I will give you a servant," Alisha explained.
Following the absolute magic conditions, the amount of mana in the magic user would be drastically reduced due to the large amount of mana being manipulated or the wide range area.
Alisha deactivated her mana domain magic, making Morgan and Mira cough and occasionally take a deep breath, feeling comfortable freeing from the shackles of Alisha's domain.
"Don't argue anymore, Morgan! Let's go," Alisha said firmly, Morgan nodded.
They went to the second floor, where Alisha's office was. There, Cillian Mason arrived with two people in navy blue uniforms, someone from Trident.
The door to Alisha's study opened, Alisha and Morgan saw Cillian with two of his members visiting the Romarich residence. Cillian came with a particular purpose, inviting Morgan to join the Trident group.
"How are you, Morgan?" asked Cillian, reaching out with a smile.
Morgan responded by nodding his head as he shook Cillian's hand. He was well, although his heart was still upset that Alisha had refused his request to have a servant.
"Is there anything you need with him, Cillian?" asked Alisha; Cillian nodded.
"At the moment, the number of members of the Golden Crown Order is growing. The number of people interested in joining the Trident is decreasing. I think Morgan's strength is needed by us," suggested Cillian.
"You're going to take my son into battle?! I will never agree to that," Alisha explained, not wanting to lose him again like she lost Jaquelin.
"Then what are you gonna do with him? Put him in the academy? He'll die boredom because his abilities already exceed those of a child of his age," Cillian explained.
"Morgan is my son, my most precious person right now. Why are you being so persistent, Cillian?" asked Alisha.
"I just thought it would be nice if Morgan joined the Trident. Besides gaining experience and knowledge about magic on the real battlefield, he will also get the credit of being the youngest Trident member," revealed Cillian.
"Uncle Cillian," Morgan called out, bringing Cillian's attention immediately to Morgan.
"Tell me. Did the Golden Crown Order kill my father?" Morgan asked.
What an unusual question for Morgan to ask him. Cillian looked sharply at Alisha, wondering if Alisha had told Morgan everything about the truth of Jaquelin's death.
Alisha turned her face away, indicating that she had not said anything about Jaquelin and his death. Cillian sighed; they would take a long time to discuss the Golden Crown Order. However, for Morgan's sake, Cillian would say everything.
"You two leave," Morgan ordered. The two Trident members who came with him nodded and stepped out, leaving Cillian with Alisha and Morgan.
"It's true." Cillian sat down while crossing his arms in front of his chest. These few days, he had seen what Morgan's training was like. Morgan had grown into a strong, handsome man like his father.
His maturity was also shaped by his tough training. There would have been no harm if Cillian had told Morgan and Alisha what happened to Jaquelin in detail.
"Jaquelin died not because of a magic attack by a member of the Golden Crown Order, but he died at the hands of Alexander The Great," Cillian explained, surprising Alisha.
"So, they've really summoned one of the Three Great Kings?" asked Alisha. Cillian cleared his throat.
"The Three Great Kings?" asked Morgan.
"That is the purpose of the Golden Crown Order, which is to summon the Three Great Kings to rule over the world. They are classified as pure class servants," explained Cillian.
"Mira explained something about servant classes. From B to S class, but she didn't say anything about pure class servants," Morgan explained.
"B to S class servants are contract servants. As long as their contract with their master goes well, they will stay alive. However, it is different with pure-class servants," Cillian explained.
"If their master dies, the servant will continue to live until death comes to them," Cillian added.
Morgan was surprised. Servants belonged to spirit magic that possessed extraordinary power, requiring blood, high knowledge, and sacred artifacts to summon them. If the master of a servant died, the servant would die as well.
If the contract is one-sidedly terminated by the master, then the servant will die. If a servant dies during a battle, the servant remains dead. That's what Morgan knew based on Mira's words.
But it's a different story if it's a pure-class servant. If they could live without contracts and masters, then it could be devastating to the world because of their extremely terrifying magic power.
"Then who are the Three Great Kings?" asked Morgan.
"King Alexander of Macedonia or, as we know, Alexander The Great. He has been summoned," explained Cillian.
"And the other two kings?" asked Morgan.
"Great King Gilgamesh of Sumeria and King Ramses II of Ancient Egypt," replied Cillian.
Hearing the names of the three Great Kings sent chills down Morgan's spine. However, it was undeniable that the members of the Golden Crown Order were the ones who killed his father.
"Then what about their search plan for Ramses II's golden scepter artifact?" Alisha asked.
"They still haven't found it. If they manage to summon King Ramses II, we are doomed," replied Cillian.
"Wait! What about King Gilgamesh?"
"About that, you don't have to worry. The Romarich family kept the Ark of Gilgamesh," said Alisha.
"Then let's just summon Gilgamesh and let him kill the Golden Crown Order once and for all," suggested Morgan. Cillian laughed out loud at the suggestion, a thousand times Cillian had heard it from his members.
"Did you forget Gilgamesh was a pure servant?" asked Cillian, Morgan shook his head, not forgetting.
"A pure servant has no bonds whatsoever with his master. In other words, if he wants to destroy the world, his master must follow his will; otherwise, the servant will not hesitate to kill him," Cillian explained.
"But we can persuade Gilgamesh to cooperate with us. That's easy, right?"
"Not as easy as you think, Morgan. They're from thousands of years back; the nature of mankind back then was harsh, and always craved power through war. War is in their blood, Morgan," Alisha replied.
"I'd better keep the ark until your war is over. I won't tell anyone," Alisha explained.
"I'm counting on you, Miss Alisha."
"And what about you? Do you want to join the Trident?" asked Cillian to Morgan, looking seriously at the boy.
"Isn't it obvious that—"
"I want!" insisted Morgan, interrupting Alisha's words, to the woman's surprise.
Morgan looked back, intently looking at Alisha with a slight smile, a smile that Morgan rarely showed to her these days.
"I'll be fine, Mom. Trust me," Morgan revealed.
Alisha still widened her eyes. She did not expect Morgan to make his own decision without discussing this with her first. However, Morgan's stubbornness really reminded Alisha of Jaquelin.
Maybe if Morgan joined the Trident, he could avenge Jaquelin's death. Alisha was just too cowardly to be able to fight on the front lines against the Golden Crown Order.
"I leave his salvation to you, Cillian," Alisha concluded, entrusting her son's fate to Cillian.
"That's good. Come on, let's talk outside." Cillian invited Morgan to talk about Trident outside Alisha's office. Morgan nodded, agreeing with what Cillian said.
Alisha was still in her study, sitting on the chair behind her desk while holding a picture of Jaquelin with Alisha and Morgan. Alisha closed her eyes, wondering if her actions were right in allowing Morgan to join the Trident?
"Your son is becoming a strong and confident man, Master," said a woman, appearing from the right side of the seated Alisha.
The woman appeared to be wearing white armor, with a blue cloak bearing a white cross, a white shield, and a blue sharp-pointed spear. With long blonde hair and a beautiful face, she was Bradamante.
"He's just like his father," Alisha said.
"I have an important task for you, Bradamante," Alisha continued.
"I will accept it even if it costs my life, Master," Bradamante bowed her head.
"Take care of Morgan while he's doing his job. Let me know if anything happens to him," stated Alisha.
"What if he comes into direct conflict with Alexander?" asked Bradamante.
"Create a displacement portal. I will fight that king with my own hands."
