Chapter 27 - Solomon

At this moment, in Jerusalem, Israel, a politician was standing inside the temple. Although he was slightly injured from the recent earthquake, his face couldn't hide his joy. He muttered to himself:

"Ha ha, God is closer to us than ever before. I must make Jerusalem the center of this world so that humanity can show their devotion to Him."

This was not only a cause for personal celebration but also for the Jewish people and other monotheistic religions around the world.

Even though the names might differ slightly, the great entity in their religions referred to the same God. The supreme entity of this universe would always be God alone.

As for the entity that became Jack's system, even though it also existed at the divine level, it was still far inferior to God. It could never surpass God, for who could be more powerful than oneself combined with something else?

Since there were quite a few people in the temple and given his own established credibility, he decided to rally everyone toward a common ideal.

He stepped forward and confidently addressed the crowd:

"Ladies and gentlemen, today brings us great news. Our mighty God is closer to us than ever before!"

The others cheered joyfully. Thinking of the great entity they worshipped being so near, no one could suppress their happiness.

However, apart from Alex, no one among humanity had the opportunity to speak directly with God. God might not entirely match the personality traits they always imagined, because after all, people tend to believe they are right. But it was true that God was the most powerful entity in the universe.

Seeing that everyone was just as excited as he was, Solomon happily continued:

"The first temple has been built here in Jerusalem. Now is the time to make this place the center of humanity, to worship God. We are the people chosen by Him to lead humanity to glory, so we cannot let Him down.

No matter how many hardships and difficulties the Jewish people have faced, we have always been able to overcome them. The challenges we endured in the past were God's trials, and we have overcome them all. Now, what we must do is unite humanity under the banner of Israel to show our devotion, like loyal servants of His. Will you join me? For our mighty God!"

The crowd enthusiastically responded to the call, shouting in unison:

"For our mighty God!"

"For our mighty God!"

"For our mighty God!"

.....

In somewhere of the Earth, God was adjusting the newly formed continents to create suitable living environments.

"What is this? I am testing you, after all. You are taking the test for your own survival, not for my sake. If humans prove to be too inadequate, I can simply create something better. Don't think that these little tricks will earn my pity. Anyway, I have plenty of alternative options with equivalent intelligence. But whatever the reason, the higher your spirit, the easier it will be to pass the test. After all, even Alex can't handle everything on his own."

After that, He continued His work of creating the ideal living environment. Under normal circumstances, such detailed intervention would not be necessary. However, there were only thirty years, and quite a few participants in this test, so it had to be done quickly.

The time He needed to complete the task wasn't long. It would be finished in no time, as His power was immense.

This didn't count as a violation of the universe's rules because, in the universe, as long as there was enough energy, anything could be made reasonable. And since God's energy encompassed the entire universe, whatever He did became the truth.

.....

Solomon was delighted and proud of his people. No matter how many years had passed, everyone still revered God as they had in the beginning, even though God didn't care.

In the presence of God, humans were no more significant than harmless atoms are to you. They simply lacked the weight to capture God's attention.

This test was purely because there were too many in the universe, and some needed to be eliminated to find the species worthy of living. After all, resources are limited and cannot be distributed to too many at once.

Although God couldn't create new resources because the universe's energy has never increased or decreased, the amount of energy has remained constant since the beginning, it only changes states.

However, He can convert forms of matter and energy that humans cannot use into valuable resources.

But resources are not meant to sustain the useless. The universe is God's masterpiece, and a group of worthless beings is fundamentally unworthy of His attention.

Furthermore, the universe is formed based on a series of rules that cannot be changed or shaken. God certainly wouldn't destroy rules that have persisted for billions of years just because of a few insignificant creatures, of which He has countless.

But what God thinks is His concern, and what they think is theirs. After all, having someone to rely on spiritually is a good thing.

Moreover, God never intended to harm any individual. This test is simply something that any species on the same level as humanity must undergo. The only difference is the timeframe, but the level of civilization is not that different.

At this moment, Solomon looked down at everyone and shouted:

"We will surely succeed! Jerusalem will forever be the center of humanity. God will surely be pleased with our efforts."

Everyone applauded and cheered with excitement. Although they had always believed in God, this was the first time in history that God had actually spoken to everyone.

Well, it wasn't exactly a conversation, as the words only came from one side. The only person who has been able to converse with God twice is Alex.

Although God wasn't truly paying attention to anyone among humanity except for Alex (due to having spoken directly, there's a bit of favoritism), Solomon wasn't wrong. The more humanity strives, the more God will be pleased, seeing His creations having the will to make the universe increasingly magnificent.

This doesn't just apply to humanity but also to the races that will appear thirty years later. Any species with a strong will and a high spirit of striving will be more valued by God.
