Chapter 4 - Great Collapsing

/Location: Kurama kingdom./

Kraken was standing on the colossal walls around the city. They reach 2 hours ago. The whole empire is in chaos. Nevertheless, none is like them. The biggest Hole in the content is now next to their home. Kraken observed it from the walls; its width is equal to the Kurama kingdom.

From behind Kraken, a tall white man with a bold head and honey beard talked, "125 farmers were swallowed during the collapse, alongside 12 guards, and 34 civilians. We lost up to a quarter of our green lands.". Kraken kept watching the Hole in silence; his eye was itching under the leather blindfold, and it never stopped spinning. "send an L-Gold to the families of the casualties," Kraken said. "on that sir." Kraken nodded for that response.

Kraken looked to the side and saw Lin coming. She was walking with steady steps, the earth began rambling, and the quakes struck the kingdom, making it shiver with wind, everyone stood their ground… at least some did. Kraken took off his eye patch and looked at the horizon. He couldn't see a thing but the earth kept unleashing its screams. "Rodrick! Call my squad, and tell them to get me the Lightening Bear; I will complete it on the battlefield." He shouted and pulled the sniper from his back. Aiming through the scope and staring at the Hole; the monsters started to rise.

His finger squeezed the trigger; an anti-tank bullet flew through the air followed by the blue flames from the barrel. The bullet went through two Drakes' heads making some mush. 'under B, but the number will wipe us.' He thought. He put the sniper back and held the machine gun, yet before anything escaped the Hole, a thunderous roar came from the depth of the Hole. The monsters that once crawled up crawled down.

The tense. The end. Death roomed in the corners.

From the air, 20 soldiers with full-plated armour land in front of him with their assault rifles and special weapons. A teenage girl with silver hair, great aspects, and a warm smile came with a great sword on her back. "General!" She did the military salutation with her right hand, "the Lightening Bear" She handed him the sword. He held the 200 kg with ease even when his muscles were decreased. "return to the lab and make as many explosives as you can; dismiss!" he barked at his soldiers who returned with their jetpacks.

His golden gear eye looked at the sword; the gear started to spin rapidly. None noticed anything happening to the sword, but Lin did; the mana that kept dancing and changing told her he would have the worst headache in his life. He handed her the sword. "You can change the name, or you can keep it.". a giant 2m wide sword, bear head as his cross-guard, and copper lines running through the dark green board blade. She swung the sword, it was perfectly balanced for her grip; it cut the air with a light whistle even if she didn't put any effort into her swing.

"spin the pommel," Kraken said with his eyes on the sword. She spun the yellow gem at the end of the grip. The blade split into two, the gem shone brightly, and between the blades small sparks of lightning. "Pour some mana in,". She followed his words and the blades turned into plasma balls with blue lightens. The lightning didn't stay between the blades as they jumped out, attacking the whole area around, making the wall they stood on black.

She spun the pommel back, and it returned to one blade. "it's made to enhance the bear fighting style you do and the lightning element you use; the bear head is an actual lightning bear head covered with titanium. Sorry, I couldn't find any higher crystal than yellow in the market. However, I included the bear core into the head, and that should make for it." He stated with the blank face he always wears, watching her dumbfound face with her eyes on him. "you shouldn't…that's too much. I can't pay you half you did now," she mumbled with her mind counting all the material he put in, from the A-monster materials to the yellow crystal, even the metal itself wasn't enough for a 200 kg and it was just Platinum and it doesn't have mana conductivity, all that without the pay for the craftsmanship.

He stared her in the eyes, and he showed an expression when his eyebrows went up "Pay for what?". "for everything, I can't take it like that." She yelled. He turned to watch the Hole "We are more than brothers and sisters, Lin. If anyone from the group asked me for the same, I would do the same without taking a copper coin." He said. She was speechless for a long moment.

"but I can't take it without paying you anything." She said with eyes burning with determination. He put his hand on his chin "What about a French kiss?". she blushed because of the word "kiss". "what's it?". He was dumbfounded because she showed an accepting tone in her question. He took a moment, and then "It's a deep kiss with our tongues dancing with each other in our mouths to the moment both of us melt." He explained with his hook-like ears wide open for the coming response.

She rubbed her hands with each other nervously, her thighs doing the same, making a beautiful sight… not considering the great sword next to her. She was thinking until she took a step forward with resolve. Kraken watched her standing in front of him with closed eyes her head high to meet his height and standing on her tips.

She felt a soft kiss on her forehead "That will do, too." He said. He watched the dizzy Lin, and a small smile brightened his face. Her dizziness grew as she saw the smile she always asked for; her lips curved up and formed a warm smile. She was still red but with a smile that made her face lovelier. He spun and took some steps to the stairs. She was left with her mind blank like a math test's answer paper. From the depths of her soul, she felt a burning fire, killing her from the inside. She looked at the sword and then put her hand on her forehead feeling it. The fire kept burning inside her "Why?" she whispered while biting her lower lip.

He walked to the main castle where his lab was. 'I wish I took her right there.' He sighed at his thought. He didn't want to push her. 'I need to fix that,' he thought as she easily sold herself; red flag. Not knowing that she was only open around him.

After 20 minutes, he reached the main castle, and he passed by many guards who gave him the military salutation. He walked for another 20 minutes to reach his lab.

He entered to find his squad working like clock's cogs. He walked past them and entered a separate room in the lab. Meeting all his books brought him more peace, he reached the table and put all his weapons down but not the wheels on his back. He sat down.

Thin wires appeared in the room, and the wheels on his back were slowly spinning along the small move from his fingers; the table shifted into a drawing position with two wide sides, and papers flew to the table, pens following them. He took the first pen, put a piece of paper in front of him, and started to draw his new project or, better, outline what it was. "Mana Cup 6" is The name of the project.

The teenager knocked on the door; he sent a wire from his hand to unlock the door. "General!" she did the same military salutation, "the king is asking for your appearance." She said softly after that with a grin. He stood from his chair walked to her, and patted her head. "Is Vorce good?" He asked. "Yes," She answered enthusiastically, "he is working on a new spell, it shows great potential to manipulate metals.".

He walked, and she walked behind him, "so what's the formula of fire?" he asked. "air and a burning source. If there's a burning source that can give the helping factor of flames, then there's no need for air." She answered as she walked behind him. "what can the helping factor be replaced by?" he waved his hand to the two guards that greeted him "General Kraken!". "if there isn't any helping factor like the oxygen or the hydrogen, use the carbon and the nitrogen, if not possible replace them with pure mana." She waved happily to the guards that met her with a warm smile. "what's the difference between fire and flame?". "fire is the heat itself, flames are the following effect of the energy transaction to light." She said after she held his hand. "which's better?" He asked while he pushed the gate to the main hall of the castle, "the throne". "the less flame is better, so white, black, or pure heat pressure are the best fire." She chirped. Walking a few steps, both stood in front of Darnous Kurama, the king of Kurama. Both give a 90-degree bow. "Skip the shit. You know about the great collapsing," Darnous said with exhaustion. "No, highness," Kraken replied.

"you better know because our future is doomed." Darnous grave tone echoed in the hall.
