I closed the gap between us and press my lips against his cold ones.
He curled a hand around my waist and pulled me over, I put my arms around his neck as we kiss. My lips parted slightly and his tongue slip inside - our tongues dancing in a passionate dance.
His hand moved up my waist to my chest and he massage my breast tenderly with his soft hand. I moaned inside him, my entire body is ready to surrender to his dominance.
He run his fingers into my hair and pulled my head back and then, leaned and started kissing my neck. Silas's lips were making me feel all kinds of pleasant tingles. I was moaning heavily with our clothes on, I wonder how he would make me feel when we are naked. Perhaps, I will get to finally experience that today.
All of sudden, Silas stopped and took a step back. His eyes that were glowing with lust for me are now dark and empty, 'We should head back.' He started leaving.
Something similar happened to me, we were kissing and then he left. Why does he do this? Is something wrong with me!
Before I could stop him, he'd already get on his horse and ride off.
I have been rejected twice by my husband, even if he hates me, why do this?
I hop on my horse and went after him. I reached the castle after sunset, Silas had already went inside. I rushed to his chamber but he ordered his guard to keep everyone out, including me.
That was expected.
I head back to my chamber where lord Gras has been awaiting my return.
'Your highness.' He approached me midway, gentle gaze studying my facial expression, 'Are you okay?'
I was doing a wonderful job holding it in but that one question penetrated through and shattered all the walls I've put around myself. The tears started flowing even before I could get a word out.
'What happened? Are you hurt?' Mikael inquired.
I recollect myself, wiping the tears off my cheeks, 'I am good.'
'No you are not.' Mikael said, 'You have been… You are changing. Why are you behaving like the only important thing and person in your life is your husband.'
I tilt my head confusingly, 'What are you …?'
'What about Arya?' Mikael questioned, 'What about her!?'
I felt flattened with confusion, 'Arya?' My father mentioned this name too, 'Who is Arya? Why do you keep telling me about her?'
Mikael could no longer believe his ears. He suddenly grabbed my arms and pull me, locking eyes with me, 'Even if you are ready to leave everything behind, how can you forget your own sister? What have they done to you?'
The fear and shock that reflected in Mikael's eyes shocked the life out of him. My head started spinning. I push Mikael away and dashed into my bedroom, slamming the door in his face.
Overlapping memories and voices came flooding back into my head, i grip my head, too many voices, too many blurred faces.
'Aria! ARIA! How can you forget me Aria?'
'No!' I shook my head, 'Get out.'
A familiar voice kept calling my name. 'Stop!!'
In a hundred disrupted voices, I could finally make one out, Silas. I concentrated all my attention on his voice and slowly, the rest started fading away.
The floor below me started moving, the walls breaking, different realities marrying into each other simultaneously.
In front of my very eyes, the room transformed to Silas's chamber and there I was, another version of me, on the floor, crying and shaking, Silas was with me.
What is going on?
I was crying, begging him to take my pain away, 'Please, I can't, I can't.'
'Alright, I will help you.' Silas caressed her cheek.
His eyes started glowing as he looked into my eyes and then, they froze, as if time had stopped.
What is this? A memory?
Silas, who was on the floor with my other version suddenly turns his head, now looking at me, 'Remember!'
As soon as the words escaped his lips, it felt as if I was stabbed in the chest with something sharp and all my memories that he made me forget started rushing back in.
My head felt like it was about to burst into pieces.
I took a terrified step back and tripped, about to fall on the floor but ended up on the bed in my chamber. I am back in my room. My memories are back too.
It felt like I was experiencing Arya's death all over again - the wound as fresh as ever.
I spent the entire night crying my eyes out, alone and in the dark; that is my reality.
The next morning, I woke with puffy eyes and massive eye bags. I step out of my room and as I expected, Mikael is there.
He quickly approach me. I cut him before he speaks, 'How can you think I will forget about my own sister? Whatever happened last night, I want you to forget it.'
Mikael gave a sigh of relief.
I was still confused about one thing, 'How do you know Arya?'
Mikael took a deep breath, 'Arya, your sister, she was my wife.'
'Your wife?' I couldn't believe my ears.
Mikael told me everything. How he and Arya met for the first time, fell in love, and got married in secret. The fact that Arya was with child when she died still shocks me.
He sniffed, 'Arya always talked about how her life was short, it was as if she could see her own death.'
My insides twists like a worm in my gut, pulse punching through my nails, 'Why did she hide the truth from me?'
'I do not know. She never told me.'
A wave of emotions came at me like a high tide. But I can't let them wear me down. I cannot forget why and because of whom Arya died and to escalate matters, he even wiped my memories of her. Silas is the real enemy, I cannot forget why I came to this palace in the first place.
I look up at Mikael, 'I will never forget Arya and do not worry, my sister's death will not go to waste.'
Arya had to die for me to live. Either way, it is all because of Silas.
'Excuse me.' I headed to Silas's chamber. He was seated comfortably on the chair when I came in.
My eyes had a different look in them, he noticed.
'You finally remember? That was fast!' He said as if he knew that would happen.
I take a step forward, 'Ever since the day I came here, all you have done is play with my head. You messed with my emotions and toyed with me. First, you made me lust for you then you made me forget my sister. You are doing all this for your own interest.'
Silas chuckled briefly, 'You are my dragonkeeper and I need your powers so we can end this relationship quickly.' He gets to his feet, approached me and grabbed my arm, 'I know that you are confused, you want to know the truth. But can you handle it?'
I lock eyes with him, 'I do not fear you.'
'Well you should.' His eyes glowed like fire, his grip on my arm tightening, 'You do remember what happened the last time you tried to kill me?'
A cold sensation shoots sharply up my arm, shrouding my entire body.
Still, I hold his gaze, 'I tried to kill you once, it wouldn't take me a second to do that again. Even if you will not die, I will keep trying, making you die a thousand times if I have to.'
He yanked me, pulling me closer, our faces an inch from touching,
'Why don't you give it another attempt then?'
We were both angry. I started feeling a weird energy surging through my veins and then, a white blinding light blasted out of my chest and enveloped the entire room.
Objects all around were now levitating in the air. I could not believe my eyes. I glance around me, it really is happening.
Frightened, I force myself out of Silas's grip and everything instantly went back to normal.
I was bereft of words and kept looking around me like a dumbfounded idiot.
I could swear for a second, all the objects in this room were flying in the air and now, it's as if it never happened.
Is Silas playing with my head again?
'I can't defeat you now, right? Fine. I will serve you until I turn you into a dragon. When you finally take your true form, that is when I will slaughter you with my own hands. I will avenge Arya.'
Silas found it amusing, 'You can't defeat me now and you think you will be able to when I take my true form? Fine. If you turn me into a dragon, I will surrender my life to you.'
