Flashes and broken fragments of memories were all Exelirus could make out, starting from the point when he first heard the Xlrinaral, the capital city of Kinerix and where Exelirus grew up with his family. Then with nothing more than a flash more than a flash, Exelirus found himself witnessing the way his people panic, racing through the streets, moving at speeds to fast to comprehend and forming streaks of varying colors all over the surface of Kinerix as the monstrous Sabraxian ships rained down from the sky and plunged the entirety of Kinerix in to chaos as they wrecked havoc and destruction across the land. Then with another flash, Exelirus was taken to the grimmest and darkest of days during the Sabraxians invasion on Kinerix, the day when the Kinetrix, Kinerix's only hope against the Sabraxian, fell, and the day he lost his father. Then another flash appeared, and then Exelirus found himself surround by a hoard of savage Sabraxian with a dead end formed by the broken pieces of rubble from the ruined city, and standing next to him was a red haired boy and a woman with blue hair just like his.
Exelirus's eyes widened with shock upon seeing the two of them, recognizing the red haired boy as his brother and the blue haired woman was none other than his mother. He then realized something before looking around his surrounds only to confirm his fears. Back up in a corner, surrounded from all sides by Sabraxians, with his brother and mother by his side. That was an account of the events that happened that fateful day…
"Hey Sonikro" Exelirus's mother yelled at her oldest son with her eyes still fixed on the Sabraxians that surrounded them.
"Y…es… mo…m" the older brother answered, his voice shaking with fear as he spoke.
"Look out for you little brother and keep him" said Exelirus's mother.
Exelirus knew what was going to happen next but knowing it didn't make reliving any less painful.
"What about you?" his brother asked their mother, sensing that something was wrong.
The woman did not give an answer and just smiled at her oldest before blue sparks began to form all over her body. Her gaze still fixed on the Sabraxian, then went down on one knee, readying herself race away with her sights still form on the Sabraxians. Her gaze, a mix of anger, sadness and frustration, having already lost her husband to those monsters and unwilling to lose her children to them as well.
"When I say go, you two run as fast as your legs can carry you and no matter what you hear, don't you dare look back" Exelirus's mother spoke with a stern and commandful voice, a voice that neither Exelirus or Sonikro could bring themselves to refuse.
Exelirus tried to speak up in an attempt to stop her but his voice refused to come out, no matter how hard he tried to force it out. It then dawned on that what he was seeing play out before him, had already happened and what he was seeing wasn't real but just a memory and as such he couldn't change anything. What had happened was going to happen and just like then, he would be helpless to stop it.
Exelirus watched tears lowly escaping from his eyes as his mother yelled out, "go" before jetting off straight for the Sabraxians, moving so fast that both Exelirus and Sonikro could barely follow her movements. More tears fell down from Exelirus eyes as he felt his body move on its own before him and his brother raced away, adhering to their mother's command and refusing to look back. Exelirus himself yell out and scream internal as continued running and running with his brother by his side, leaving their mother alone to deal with Sabraxian. Then a loud boom from the spot where their mother and the Sabraxians were, rippled through the air and shook the ground that ran across.
Exelirus, never in all his life, did he wish that he could turn his head so he could witness for himself what had happened to his mother. But alas, it seemed as though his mother's final instructions were ones the ones he obeyed. Thinking back to his childhood and remembering how he would always disobey her command when she would tell him and Sonikro to stop playing around, remembering how they would always sneak at the very least, one more round of playing before eventually listening to their mother which was usually after a spanking or two. Exelirus wondered why he couldn't bring himself to disobey his mother during those moments just like he used to do, he just wanted to catch one final glimpse of his mother before…
Exelirus felt his tears fly out of his eyes as he, along with Sonikro, raced away. Then there was another flash, this time replaying the final moment he shared in Kinerix with his brother, his brother death, and then finally, the destruction of Kinerix. Then another flash appeared and he found himself on an unknown and unfamiliar world, filled with people that looked like him but with the colorful hair and couldn't move quite as fast as him. Naked and in a panic, he ran all over the streets of this new world, wreak havoc, confusion, and destruction with each and every step he took. Then there was another flash, and he found himself standing in a strange room, inside strange facility, hearing sirens that reminded him of Sabraxian invasion on his world, and standing in front of him was a group of what he believed to soldiers and next to them a woman wearing a black and red suit with a mask and star symbol on the chest of her suit covering her face.
Then, just like the other times, there was another flash and this time Exelirus found himself laying the grass covered ground, his entire body vibrating with kinetrix spark flowing out of his body, and mounted on top of him was none other than the woman wearing the suit. Exelirus could see the damage his kinetrix was dealing on her body but still she refused to get off him. He couldn't understand why the woman was willing enduring painful strike of his kinetrix sparks and refusing to let go. And then woman did something that shocked him even more, she took of her mask, revealing are scarlet eyes and short brown hair to him before saying to him, "Everything is going to be okay".
Exelirus, couldn't explain why, but upon hearing what that woman said, he felt his pounding heart, heavy with the overwhelming weight of loss and pain, grow lighter and ease up ever so slightly, slowing down to the point where he could actually feel it beating in his chest. It was almost as if those words alone were all he needed to her to console his wary heart and put him at ease. Exelirus then felt his body begin to tire down as he felt safe enough to rest. His eyes slowly grew heavier and heavier but just as he was about close them shut, he focused his gaze on the woman on top of him. Then slowly the image of her began to morph and change to that of his mother. Then everything went dark…
Moments later Exelirus slowly opened up his eyes and just like before, he was greeted by a bright flash but this time it wasn't a product of the formation of memory from the past but rather the intensity of the light from the ceiling above his head. Exelirus's eyes slowly adjusted to the light and as they did his vision cleared up. He then slowly got up. Groaning slightly due to the fact that he was still a bit drowsy, he looked around, examining his surroundings only to find himself in a strange white room, on bed, and wearing some kind of strange suit similar in color to the room he was in.
