Chapter 5 - 3 -Graduation day

Sebastian's perspective

I instructed Alex to install a tracker in the locket, then I continued with my work. It was already afternoon, so I had my lunch at the office. While going through some documents, Max knocked on the door and entered. "Good afternoon boss, I have something to discuss with you, may I?" he asked. "Go ahead," I replied.

"Sir, based on my source, I discovered a piece of land that matches your description. The soil and land quality are poor, making it unsuitable for construction. However, the land is situated near the airport. Despite this, the airline company did not purchase the land but acquired the surrounding area instead. Although it is a bit far from the airport, people are mistakenly considering it a good investment. After inspecting the land, they decide against buying it," he explained.

A smile formed on my face. "Excellent, purchase that land, convince the landowner to leave, and relocate abroad after receiving the money," I instructed. "Understood, sir. I will ensure it is done," he confirmed. I handed him a card from my wallet. "This card contains one million dollars with no password. Simply give it to him after obtaining his signature. You can deliver it to him at the airport as well."

"Very well," he replied, taking the card. "I will transfer fifty thousand dollars to your account for your travel expenses and paperwork," I added. "Once this plan succeeds, I will reward you," I promised. "You can trust me, sir. I will not make any mistakes," he assured before leaving. "Alright, keep me updated. You may leave now," I said as he exited, allowing me to focus on my work.

After two days, Alex presented me with the locket containing a tracker. I securely stored it in my wardrobe upon returning to my penthouse. As days went by, I received a call from the principal of 'my flowers' college, inviting me to the graduation ceremony as the Chief Guest. I make annual donations to that college, understanding the challenges faced by those who aspire to education but lack financial means. On the day of the graduation ceremony, petals bloomed once more. Despite enduring the hardships I had caused, she emerged as the top-ranked student. I prepared to visit the college, eager to see Petal. Although we had met several times before, mostly for dates or meals at her house, today Penelope had invited me for lunch. As I arrived at the college, my name was announced by the principal. I made my way to the stage, scanning the crowd for Petal. Finally, my eyes locked onto her, looking pleasantly surprised. I continued to gaze at her, noticing her rolling her eyes at some point. An hour later, it was Petal's turn to receive her certificate and awards. The principal requested me to present them to her, acknowledging her as the top-ranking student in the university.

She looked adorable in her graduation attire, and though I desired to kiss her, I refrained from doing so out of respect for both our reputations. I maintained a professional demeanor as I presented her with her certificate, awards, and a gold medal. She expressed gratitude towards her family and professors before we took photos with two other girls, my petal, and Samy. I informed her parents that both I and petal would follow them home, and after helping her into the car, I handed her a blue velvet box. She seemed puzzled until I encouraged her to open it, revealing a gift that brought a smile to her face. Despite her protests about its cost, I insisted on helping her put it on, as it looked as though it were made just for her.

I observed her drifting off and smiling to herself while driving, I was unaware of the reason for her smile. Upon arriving home, I parked the car, went inside, and Penelope prepared her favorite food. During lunch, Penelope inquired about her locket, to which I explained that I had purchased it for her graduation. Following lunch, we conversed for a while, and then I requested her parents' permission to take her out with me, to which they agreed. She went upstairs to get ready, then descended the stairs donning a full-length pink cotton gown with a hat - she knows my preferences, which brought me joy. I escorted her to the beach, where I had arranged a surprise graduation party. We celebrated by cutting the cake, had dinner, and afterwards, she went to play in the water, staying close to the shore as she doesn't know how to swim. I respected her privacy, not wanting to be overbearing. As the temperature dropped, I approached her and embraced her from behind, expressing my desire for time to stand still so we could remain in that moment forever, my flower. I engaged in conversation with her, unintentionally revealing almost everything. Realizing my actions, I turned her towards me, rested my head in the crook of her neck, and breathed in her scent, which calmed my nerves.

She began to inquire about the details of our conversation, asking why, what, and everything in between. In response, I gently planted a kiss on her forehead and proceeded to retrieve my blazer. I called out Petal's name, finding her lost in thought, but she heard me and returned to grab her sandals. By the time she reached the car, I had already settled into the driver's seat. After helping her into the vehicle, I started the engine and we drove off towards her house. Throughout the journey, neither of us uttered a word. Once we arrived at her home, I assisted her in getting out of the car. I then took my place behind the wheel, waiting until I was certain she had safely entered her house before departing towards my penthouse. As we made our way, a silence enveloped us, with neither of us engaging in conversation. In that moment, I found solace in the fact that I could protect Petal with the assistance of a tracker. Little did I know that the usefulness of the tracker would become apparent so soon…

Guys, here's an update.
