He sighs after hearing this, knowing his friend was speaking the truth. It seems he can only work as a mercenary in his alter ego.
"It's okay, I'll work something out. And besides, we mostly show that we're in a state of meditation to everyone." As long as he can use this as an excuse, he can hide his activities.
"You're right. Too bad that the two of us are unable to help. Being members of two guilds makes our schedule as low-rankers quite tight," Richard complains.
Bryan nearby starts nodding his head. The mercenary guild is still okay, as its control over its members is quite lax. As long as you complete enough missions assigned at your rank, then the guild wouldn't concern itself about you most of the time.
The beastmaster guild is different. It has strict requirements for its members, and everyone is required to do something. Unless you have a special status like Daniel or are a student under one of the guild's elders, you would have to work hard to continue existing as one of its members.
Daniel falls into both categories. Because of how important he is for the survival of the city, he's exempted from the required tasks the guild should have assigned to him.
As the day passes, everyone lining in front of the gate is treated and all of them leave with a rosy appearance. Daniel smiles as he waves them goodbye. His two friends are on the verge of laughter seeing him like this.
"F*ck both of you, let's just return to the mansion. I wish to continue my cultivation in a more peaceful place." He curses the two as they return to their house.
Liliaghant returns to his inner world to rest. She might be fine physically, but she's mentally exhausted.

Bless is still in the state of evolution. It seems that absorbing the other part of Terra's bloodline was too great for such a low-grade beast monster like her. He has been relying on her after she became a beast monster.
He sighs and sends a dense world energy into her before entering the state of cultivation.
Meanwhile, under their estate, someone is now tired and sleeping. Unconsciously, she emits some sort of energy that flows to the ground.
The next day, with the healer association trying to rebuild their reputation, the number of people Daniel has to treat has decreased exponentially. It wasn't even half a day when he finishes healing everyone who wanted treatment. Upon noticing this, he decides that if there are no patients tomorrow, he will return to the black market city.
"Why are you two still here? Shouldn't you be busy taking some tasks for the guild?" He sees the two training with their partners.
"We are. There's a task that seems to be specifically made for the two of us. The detail of the task is guarding you," Bryan laughs out loud.
"Guarding me?" Daniel is surprised.
"Guarding is actually just a polite term. They're actually trying to monitor you. They're stupid enough to actually let us two take them," Richard laughs out loud.
"I don't think that's the case. I think my teacher has done something to actually let the two of you take this easy task," Daniel is more inclined to believe that it was his teacher responsible for such a coincidence.
"Yeah, you're probably right. But in any case, if they send anyone, they would just be turned down by you," Bryan smirks.
"Hmph! The guild might be a behemoth compared to our group, but I won't let them just step over our heads," he confidently said. Now that he has both strength and allies, he's not as helpless as before.
"But still, I don't think those nobles would just let us go. Too bad we don't have enough qualified people to work as patrol guards for our estate," he mutters. He can let Bless stretch herself all over the estate, but she has no eyes and would be easily bypassed by veteran assassins.
"It seems that we need some guard dogs in this place," he mutters, but he has no idea how to obtain one that would follow his command.
Drifting in his sleep, he's unaware that inside their estate, multiple figures blending in the darkness are discussing.
"We can't get close to the mansion. My skill (Sense Danger) is telling me that we would forfeit our lives if we ever get close," one of them stated.
"He's probably telling the truth. My instinct as a veteran is also telling me the same thing," a voice suddenly appears out of nowhere.
"Unfortunately, we're unable to send gold rankers to monitor this place, as this would alarm the city lord," one of them sighs.
"That person is just too abnormal. I don't know how strong he will become once he breaks through the silver rank," one of them shivers just thinking about it.
"It seems that we can only try to gain the trust of his family in order to uncover the secrets of their strange strength," another one stated.
"Why don't we just capture one of them and interrogate them!?" A cold voice appears.
"Do it, but don't involve my clan in it. I might not be sure if they ever rescue their captured members, but I'm certain that they would die trying to kill as many members of your family as they can," one of them snorts. He reads the file of Daniel and the others and is shocked by how loyal they are to their family.
"Heh! They're just a bunch of weaklings. Once my family learns the source of their strength, we would rise in power!" The cold voice crackles.
"Oh? Is that so?" Suddenly, a voice descends together with a massive burst of killing intent. A giant sword appears and slashes towards the group. All of them were veterans and instantly reacted. All of them try to dodge the attack, and those who realize they are too late prepare themselves to block the attack.

The attack destroys the area around its impact.
Daniel appears below the bright moon, watching his target with cold, deep eyes.
"How did you find us?" Asks the person who was insulting the cold voice earlier.
"This is our home. I have multiple ways to learn your presence," he calmly said. Inwardly, he was grateful that Terra mostly sleeps underground.
She sensed the figures above her and was unfamiliar with their presence.
Without hesitation, she informs the sleeping Daniel, and the system immediately wakes him up.
Daniel isn't trying to capture anyone here right now.
He knows how foolish it is to try to capture a veteran spy or assassin, he also does not want to make an enemy to the powers behind these people.
Right now, there is only one thing in his mind: to kill the one who seems determined to harm his family.
He is not just going to let them go,he is also willing to go to war against the power behind these cold-blooded killers since his family's safety is paramount to everything for him.

He can't underestimate them just because he fought stronger beings than them.
He immediately resorts to his forbidden move, and not only that, his release is by no means small.
Blood-red aura rises from his body, and the killing intent scatters everywhere, but his eyes focus only on one person.
Sensing this, everyone's expression changes.
They immediately make a decision and distance themselves from the owner of the cold and harsh voice.
"You dare!?" Unfortunately for him, his voice is drowned by a powerful strike in the chest.
The punch breaks his chest, and his lungs are pierced by his broken ribs.
The attack causes a sonic boom.
The blow was too fast for anyone to see.
He turns to his fist, and it was actually emitting some white smoke.
A strike that combines two thresholds together with the aspect of Blink Thrust was truly devastating.
He might not show it, but his fist is currently aching from the recoil damage brought by the extreme state of power he had instantaneously released.
"Leave. I have no problems with you, but this is our home. Trespassing here is considered an insult to me and a threat to my family."
He turns to the others and unhurriedly says, as he returns to his room.
He quickly falls to the bed.
He was exhausted.
