Noah and his group were luckily among those caught in the outer radius of the explosion. The shockwave struck them with the force of a freight train almost rupturing their eardrums instantly. The sound of the explosion was so loud that it drowned out their own scream of pain and terror. Noah felt himself lifted off the ground as if his body was a weightless rag-doll in a hurricane, just like everyone around him being thrown in the air, their body hit the debris of the ground, metal and one another.
As explosion power died down, so did their body that flung in the air with explosion force hit the ground, sending sharp pain throughout their body as their bones cracked and broke under the impact force. The sound of desperate cries for help filled the air but it died in the chaos. Whatever hadn't been obliterated by the explosion got consumed by the flames spread out the outwards.
Those who threw clear of the explosion screamed as small fire caught their clothes and skin, it was enough fuel for the flames to burn them alive. The bloodcurdling scream of burning people met deaf ear of those who lost their consciousness upon the impact on ground.
Truly miserable were those who stayed alive and awakened to see in front of their eyes as the port burns along with the people around them but unbearable heat crept closing on them. Their burnt skin and heated ground and their surroundings only escalated their pain as those who were burning died within minutes but they are alive and awake and endure this hellish pain.
Noah's vision blurred as pain wracked his body, it became hard to breathe. Every breath is desperate to stay alive. Noah's ears are bleeding and keep ringing from the sound of the explosion, his back skin is burned from the heat and his hand seems to be broken from impact on ground and bleeding from his wounds. The world is spinning and disorienting, the flashes of the fire and destruction blends into a surreal haze.
Noah lifted his head despite the nerves breaking pain and painful grunts sound escaping from his mouth. The pain is constantly shot through his neck, limbs and back. Noah look through with his blurry vision the smoke and fire around them and he saw the mute cries of Betty writhing and twisting desperately on the ground as her skin is badly burnt and the flames has caught on to her legs but she can do nothing except of cry in pain as her legs are twisted and broken.
Betty's eyes fall upon what seems to be a puddle of water just ahead of her being visible because of the fire around them. Despite the pain of broken legs and flames slowly spreading out on her body Betty crawled on the ground, dragging her body with hands towards the water. The flames have reached her back; it looks as if it's almost impossible for her to reach a puddle of water.
'No, I can't let die like this. I have to save her.'
'Do something Noah, stood up and helped her Noah. Don't let her burn to death right in front of your eyes.' Noah's thoughts are in a mess but he can't watch any one burned to death, when he can help her.
Noah put his hands on port ground and muster up all the strength he could from his body to stood up with letting out painful grunt sound from his mouth. Noah stood up on his feet but the constant pain was wrecking his nerves, sending desperate signals in his nerves. Noah took every step with pain screaming in his mind almost escaping from the mouth.
Noah Walked to Betty, he can see her skin has turned red from the burnt and still burning flames. Noah removed his shirt and hit the flames on Betty's body with his shirt but his shirt also caught on the fire and tried to reach for his hands.
Noah let go of his shirt from his hands and looked at Betty carefully with his hazy vision. He saw her jeans and shirt had already burned and got attached to her skin the flames slowly spreading on her skin as like eating her skin and flesh.
Noah holds Betty both shoulders with his hands and tries to drag her towards the water so it will extinguish the flames but he can't bulge her body no matter how much strength he tries to bring out, feeling powerless and helpless is overcoming his mind. Just then he saw hand holding Betty one hand Noah lifted his head to see the face of one who came to help.
"Noah, I'll hold the one side of the shoulder and you hold from the other side." James spoke to Noah, it was painful for him as James looked in far more worse condition than Noah as James forehead is bleeding and his hand skin turned red from the burns but despite that all he still came to help Betty.
Noah didn't hear what James said as his ears are still ringing in pain and the world seems to be mute around him but he understood what James was trying to say. Noah held the one shoulder of Betty with his two hands as James did so too.
Noah and James both bring out their strength to drag Betty towards the water, it was hard to bulge her body but together they did it but to their horror they saw Betty skin and flesh seems to have melted together with the port ground as they drag her body trail of blood following on the path left by Betty's legs.
Noah can see Betty crying and screaming in pain desperately but he couldn't hear anything but that's not the same for James as his expression is painful and uncomfortable as he can hear the Betty scream of pain and her begging and crying voice.
"Just kill me already."
"James, Noah please Just kill me. I won't be able to live with this pain."
Even though James felt bad about doing this he ignores the begging voice of Betty to save her life and drag her towards the water as fast as they can. Noah and James bring Betty to the puddle, as they take steps inside the puddle ripple spread out as they take steps in, they can see their shoe shovels getting wet. The puddle of water was 6 feet big and with 2 cm depths; they brought Betty into the water.
As water comes in contact with the flames on Betty's body, water makes a sizzling sound as the flames begin to die down under their eyes. Noah and James turn Betty around to put out the flames from her legs. As flames died down they could see the smoke coming off from the water and Betty badly burned part of her back and legs.
They couldn't do anything except for this in hopes that when they return home, doctors can save her. They don't have much hope for her walking normally again but staying alive is more than enough. Betty is still writhing in pain as flames extinguish by the water but it becomes more unbearable for her.
James looks at Betty crying face, he feels bad as seeing someone getting torcher like this, "Don't worry Betty, It will all over soon. When we go to our world."
James reassuring words falls deaf ears to Betty, As James couldn't watch Betty screaming like this. He turns his face away from Betty Face and looks around. He can't see much in darkness except from the place that is still visible because of the flames. James remembered the fear he felt and his instincts telling him to not turn around before but his instincts aren't screaming anymore as if whatever it might have caused his instincts to scream died along with fireball with some hesitation James turned around to look behind him as he didn't feel fear he was constantly feeling before.
Behind him, he can see everything much more clearly because of the Flames as container cargo and the products inside them are burning. They seem to be thrown really quite a bit far away because of the explosion from where they were before, everything around there looks nightmarish, far more worse than where they are currently standing.
There's this big crater in the distance where the fireball hit is burning with fiery flames as if a flammable object is there or just because of the fireball's destructive power. As James stares at the flames and feels the slightest discomfort he doesn't know why?
James felt as if flames were moving, "That's a bit weird, is my eyes playing tricks with me."
In the crater flames suddenly moved and grew up and in front of his eyes single burning tentacles rose up in the air, Tentacles far more bigger than anything he ever saw, "Is that octopus tentacles or its kraken."
15 meter tentacles slam the ground sending debris around it flying upwards and with that second tentacles rise up from the crater too but unlike first one the second is only around 6 meters or 7 meters long, the second tentacles seem to be destroyed from that part as there's no tip of the tentacle just wide width.
James starts to shake with fear as he looks at the tentacles appearing from the crater cause just as his eyes fell upon them it invokes the same deep fear as the one they all felt before coming from their soul. The sea monster kraken that always lived in legends is real and it's right in front of his eyes.
