As two tentacles come out from the crater, James thought more of them will come out, as they're in a nightmare realm all they're worst nightmares are true and real then there has to be kraken too. Kraken also exists in this realm and one is in front of his eyes slowly climbing out of the crater hole this explains why such a strong and powerful fireball was aimed at their location.
As James watches with horror in his eyes the second tentacles rise upward bringing the rest of the body out from the crater but what he saw left his eyes and jaw dropped. Noah saw James' facial expression keep changing from fear to dreadful to shock and absolute horror, Noah instinctively turned his head to look where James was looking at what he saw left his eyes wide open.
Two tentacles coming out of the crater that invokes the same fear as one they felt before but now only when they look at those tentacles they feel fear. Behind these two tentacles the human burning body is connected. To be more correct these tentacles are connected with the human body as they're coming out of the upper part of the torso where the neck should be.
The body is charcoal black because of the flames or it has always been like this, the human body is thin and slim as if it belongs to a female. They never saw or imagined a monster like this before to their horror this monster was the one that invokes deep fear from their soul.
Human body never moved or reacted; it just kept floating in air lifelessly, only tentacles moving around. As the whole body came out of the crater it began to slither like a snake towards them. Noah and James instinctively take a few steps back and ready to run at any given moment, as the monster is slowly slithering towards them but before they start to run they saw tentacles dive inside the what it seems like puddle of where near it.
The tentacles quickly disappear inside the puddle of water faster than when it was slithering on ground. As two tentacles disappear inside a small puddle of water that is almost impossible considering the tentacles' width but the lifeless human body also follows shortly after that.
As they watch tentacles disappear inside the puddle of water both Noah and James turn their head towards where they lay down Betty and they see what they will never forget or be able to forgive themselves for what they did.
Betty's body is shaking in pain but they didn't hear any cry of pain from her as black water is like slung getting absorbed inside her body through the skin, eyes, nose, ears and mouth. Dissolving her body like acid slowly her body turned into a lifeless corpse from the breathing and a moment ago that was struggling to stay alive.
Noah and James quickly remove their shoes as they also step inside the water to lay down Betty and get their shoes wet in puddles of water. As they removed their shoes just in time, they saw them dissolved right in front of their eyes. It's really scary to think that everything here is dangerous and trying to kill you at any given moment. They can't even trust the ground they place their feet on.
As the last remnants of Betty get dissolved in water, the unnatural silence returns to sea port. The flames are still burning from the container cargo and goods but smoke from the burning flames and explosion makes it hard for them to breath as if for some reason the smoke is staying in the sea port not getting spread out outside.
Noah and James stood together side by side as they looked around the hell hole they fell into and made sure there's no other puddle of water within their surroundings. They look at the unconscious Nanala, Kristina, Olivia and Hilary on the ground. They weren't sure if they were unconscious or dead but they don't have the will to check either as everything is too overwhelming for them. As their reality is breaking apart from everything they saw.
After the fireball exploded at sea port, it was over a minute but the sky didn't get lit up by the fireball again as whoever was shooting this massive fireball its main target was the Human tentacle monster and since it disappeared in water. They have lost their target but being happy about that would be bad as they never know when things get out of hand.
Unnatural silence that was around them was suddenly broken by the sound of footsteps approaching them from a distance. James alertly looks at the direction from where he heard the sound, he can tell from the sound this footstep belongs to the humans not the skinnomore but after seeing the human tentacle monster. He can't trust anything that might seem human.
James looks at Noah besides him, who seems to be completely unaware of the sound of the footsteps he heard.
"Noah, someone is approaching us." James said to Noah with an alert voice but Noah didn't look at him as if can't hear him at all.
"Noah, pay attention to our surrounding dude. We are still outside in the danger zone." James said with a bit of irritation and shook Noah's shoulder as Noah doesn't seem to be his right mind.
As James touched Noah's shoulder, his palm felt as if they touched something warm and sticky. As James placed his hand on Noah's shoulder and shook him, Noah cried out loudly in pain.
"Ahhhhh…Ochhhhh."
"It's fucking hurt, you asshole." Noah's eyes become watery as his skin starts to throb like it's going to peel off completely.
James looks at the Noah skins; he can see the Noah back skin is completely red from the burns. He also suffers from the explosion heat but it wasn't as serious as Noah and other girls' burns on their body.
"What the fuck is wrong with you James?" Noah asked with annoyance and anger in his voice as but soon his angry expression turned from confusion, shock and fear.
"James, can you hear my voice?" Noah asks James standing beside him as not becoming deaf and blind here is the one of the worst outcomes as it decreases his survival chance here.
James felt a bit confused as to why Noah asked such an obvious question until his eyes fell upon his ears, James can see blood dripping from Noah's ears. Now, He felt a bit sorry for him. James looked at Noah and nodded towards him, "Yes, I can hear your voice."
Sadness and anxiety overwhelmed the Noah mind as he saw James Nodding his head as answering yes to his question and moved his lips but no sound was heard in his eardrum. Noah looks at his hands and snaps his fingers to produce sound but the only thing he gets is the pain reality that he really lost his hearing.
"Don't worry dude, it might be just silence for a short moment due to the explosion. You will get your hearing again but for now our attention should be in that direction." James with a soft and consoling voice talked to Noah even though he knew that Noah won't be able to hear him speaking, James pointed his finger in the front direction. Where the sound of footsteps is approaching them is getting really close.
Although Noah didn't hear what James said at first but he understood one thing from seeing James' concern and alert eyes and expression that someone or something is going to come out from the darkness up ahead where he pointed his finger.
Noah doesn't know what's gonna come out from the darkness ahead, the only thing he can do is hope that it's humans as he doesn't have any strength to run anymore. He can already feel that his body is gonna give up being conscious at any given moment.
As footstep got closer it became hard for both of them to have a sane composer, every second seemed like an hour long. Darkness gets split up as the group of people walking towards them at the front one leading them has iconic long purple hair that they haven't forgotten yet.
Through the haze of smoke and fire, she walks without much serious injury on her but what truly caught both attention was a group of men following behind her. They all wore the same clothes as James, they all had different expressions on their face and they looked at the surroundings. Devastating damage done by the explosion wasn't something they have seen before but more importantly seeing James they had much more varied emotions on their face.
"I'm glad to see you still alive and kicking kid." One of the oldest looking middle aged men from the sea port worker group said as they walked close to the James. He has a happy smile on his face as he is really glad to see James alive.
"You are not joking right? Cause last time I remember you tied me up and threw me inside the container cargo." James said with narrow eyes as he still remembers the fresh memories of a few hours ago.
