Everyone was talking about what happened earlier and it spread throughout the academy.
"Finally I found yah" Vondrel exclaimed after finding his dormitory.
"What the hell, is this where your dorm is situated....this is too bad " exclaimed James
"What's so bad about it??" Vondrel asked
"With what I heard about this place, student from the other dorm do pick on students in this dorm." James said
Vondrel looked up at the entrance of the dorm where there was a large letter was written "BLUE BAND"
"What does that mean??" He asked
James traced his line of sight and saw him staring at the word on the entrance of the dorm.
"Ohh, that??" He lingered for few minutes before continuing.
"The bands are different colours used to differentiate the hierarchy between students. The blue band are the lowest rank designated for students who awaken weak abilities or who has low level resonance and those who are yet to awaken, the colour above the Blue, which is the Yellow band are for those who awaken a middle level resonance, while the one above is the Red band for those who awaken a high level resonance. As for the highest which is the Gold band, consist of the gifted, those with pseudo level and titan level resonance." James explained lengthily.
"So, what colour band are you??" Vondrel asked
James stared at him for sometime, he then raised the collar of his long sleeve, displaying his band to vondrel.
"Well I've to manage what I've being given" Vondrel replied
"Sorry bro, if you need anything...don't fail to inform me" James said
"Alright no qualms " Vondrel replied
They exchanged their digits, James then proceeded to find his hostel.
Vondrel got into his room and saw three other boys around his age in the same room, they all stared at him with complicated expression.
"Hello good afternoon, pls this is my room" he showed them his room number, while standing at the doorway.
"Aiit...come in and don't be a sulker, we here are your roommates " one of the boys stated
"Do you mind telling us your name? " The enthusiastic one of them, a tall, lanky guy with a messy mop of hair, strode over to introduce himself.
"Hey samuel...can't you just be patient and let him settle down first." the third boy said
"Okay I'll help you arrange your stuff,, so we can get to know each other better right? " the enthusiastic boy questioned again
"Err....right" Vondrel answered awkwardly
Some minutes later.....
They all gathered around to have a conversation.
"So tell us.....what is your name, town, clan and what ability do you possess??" Samuel questioned
"I'm Vondrel by name, I came from a small clan known as the Brightvale and about my ability, well I have none. " Vondrel stated
There was silence after Vondrel made his last statement.
"So...you're saying, you have no ability....how then did you enter this school? " Samuel asked
"Dummy....there are other people who are presently in the academy, that doesn't have an ability, we all witnessed it, some were offered entry into the academy even without training with the embodiment technique, they will be trained to use mecs....and by the way I'm Noah by name, from clan dounal." Noah said lengthily.
"Wow...i didn't know you're such a talker, by the way you know my name already, I live in a town called the town of mills and my ability is wind and you can guess I'm still a beginner." Samuel said
Now all eyes were on the third guy
"cough" "cough"
"Emm....i'm Timmy by name, I lived in a town called Jotham, a clan located on an island which is surrounded by water and I am of the water element, Noah there is of the fire element ."Timmy said
"Okay you guys have cool abilities, it..." Vondrel said before being cut off by the sound of a grumbling stomach. They all stared at Sam, whose tummy produced the sound. Like a chained reaction, their stomachs all made same sounds, they decided to go grap something for dinner.
Vondrel gazed up at the dormitory room, his stomach filled with a mix of excitement, contemplation and nerves. He had never been away from home before, or shared a room with people, and the thought of starting fresh in a new place was daunting. But as he looked around at the dorm room, he felt a surge of anticipation. This was it – the start of his new adventure.
"Hey, Vondrel! Welcome to the dorm!" Sam said once again
Vondrel smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. "Thanks, Sam. I'm excited to be here."
Sam showed Vondrel to his bunker, close to Noah's own. The room was cozy, with four bunk beds and a desk in the corner. Vondrel's eyes grew slightly dim as he took in the sight of his new home.
As they spent the afternoon unpacking and getting settled, Vondrel learned more about his roommates. Timmy was a bookworm, with a passion for literature and poetry and also intelligent, Noah was the brain of the group. And Sam... well, Sam was the social butterfly, always up for an adventure and never met a stranger, jovial and somewhat noisy.
As the sun began to set, the group decided to head down to the cafeteria for dinner. Vondrel eyes dimmed by the variety of food options given to the blue band– he had never seen so many different unfavorable cuisines in one place. Sam, ever the jokester, convinced him to try them.
After dinner, they headed back to the dorm for a game night. Vondrel was hesitant at first, but soon found himself laughing and joking with his new friends. They played cards, told stories, and shared secrets, bonding over their shared nervousness about the upcoming semester.
As the night wore on, Vondrel realized that he had found his tribe. These people, who had been strangers just hours before, now felt like old friends. He knew that he still had a lot to learn about them, but he was excited for the journey.
' Who would have thought that i would end up making friends, and so easy at that.' he glanced at the his three roommates.
As they settled in for the night, Vondrel felt a sense of belonging that he had never experienced before. He knew that this was just the beginning of an incredible adventure, and he was grateful to have Sam, Timmy and Noah by his side.
